  1. ya they are a little stiff to move but since i don't sit back there....
  2. hate to say but our great leader at FCA is only worried about who we should merge with to save Fiat from dragging chrysler into bankruptcy, they are losing so much money on the Fiat side,I read they have put so much of Chryslers future into limbo on lack of car development and new models put on hold to make the company look better, hoping to merge Fiat with some other big auto maker. i keep getting bad feelings every time i hear him open his mouth it almost sounds like he he begging someone to merge with FCA.
  3. never drove the 3.5 but the 3.6 almost has too much power, reason being if you do a lot of city driving and have a lead foot mpg wont be good but if you take it easy its okay and real great on the open road.
  4. if you do your own oil changes as soon as you removed your old filter and opened the new one you would know right away that there was a part change ,of course then you would have to reuse the old one or go get the new one....
  5. just got back from my last free oil change at the dealership and while waiting for my vehicle i happen to go to the parts window and started talking how i had 3 oil filters left over from my 2011 3.6 and just assumed they would be the same for my 2014 3.6 and to my surprise he said no that there was a slight difference in them and he showed me one of each yr. and the older filter was a little shorter and the new one had a 3 sided legs going up about 1/4 inch with a round tip on top of it. he said for me to return my old ones and he would swap them out for the correct ones so be carefull when ordering your oil filters from where ever you get them.
  6. on my daughters 2007 caravan had to replace a broken axle shaft.you also have to loosen the the strut from the van and also separate the tie rod end to get get enough room to remove the axle shaft from the wheel bearing so i would suspect you have to do the same at least for our journeys..
  7. had a 2011 3 row seat dual air journey and loved it. traded it in for a 2015 crossroad 2 row seat with the front only air and love it.BUT as said before i miss the extra air -heat for the rear if i lived up north or out west where the heat and cold was more pronounced i would opt for the dual air. other then that i get at least 19 city or better and 24 hwy or better but i don't take off like a rocket from a stop. great car has some blind spots but her then that i love it. the caravan will give you a little more room with the kids and all their luggages and toys with all the same things the journey does but not as sporty looking. give it a try before you buy also the 2016 will only come with a 5yr 60k power train as the 2015 will still have the 7yr/100k powertrain warranty....
  8. i see fiat is downgrading the powertrain warranty to 5yr/60k like G.M. on the 2016 my.
  9. guess its been raining a long time since no follow up on his post

  14. maxes out at 38.dam never had my radio higher then 23 and i am hard of hearing LOL
  15. i would just wait a while and when you take a trip to another town or state go by the local dealership and have them do it.it dosent take but about 5 minutes if the tech knows what he is doing shouldnt cost you no more than 30-50 $$ at the most my dealer did it for free since i bought the car from them of course their was some problems finding a tech that knew how to do it....
  16. Ray to bad the old plant closed down you probably could have got a new one in a day or so and then they could have checked out the bad one for research sure do miss going into work there. when you have a job that you enjoy and people that you enjoy working around its not even like having a job. take care... dave just a note to the rest of the readers we worked at the huntsville Al .chrysler electronics plant and we built just about anything electronic that went into the cars we were the only electronic plant owned by chrysler but we had to be just as cheap as all the other competitors when we bid on the contracts , but when mercedes bought chrysler they sold us off as fast as they could which didnt make sense but they wanted the $$ that they milked out of chrysler before they ran us into the ground...oh well.....
  17. my 2011 never used any oil between changes (about 6-7k) and sold and it had 75k on the odo. sounds like it is burning the oil if you dont see the grips. my 2014 has 20k and oil is always correct
  18. 2late4u, on 22 Aug 2014 - 1:41 PM, said: well just bought the lifetime max warranty with unlimited miles with a 100. ded. was about to go over the 12k miles and going on a trip tomorrow that would have put me over the 12k thus it would raise the price $200. so bit the bullet and paid the $2215. plan on keeping this journey a long time. love the looks and the silver color was real easy over the internet already rec a copy of the purchase and they said mopar will send the reg paperwork in about 3 weeks. you save a lot buying it here than at the dealership hope i don't ever need it but figured if i keep it as long as my truck( 14. years) figures out about to $157 yr. check out the forums marked extended warranties use this web address http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/ it was where i bought mine and was the best price for it.. good luck
  19. just another reason to let the experts do the work as cars are getting so complicated and expensive to repair now days.HOPE you find or get this fixed soon and cheap....
  20. best question so far........................................
  21. maybee journeyman2 could answer this question... either way they do sound better than stock....
  22. i would think it is not possible to use the smaller pads as they would not fit into the caliper correctly as they would be to small, if your not sure of what size pads or which ones you have take your vin # to the dealership they will be able to tell you which ones you have.. and take some pics with your phone or camera to show the dealer what you are talking about... good luck and keep us posted
  23. better yet return it to the dealer and let them fix it so in case something breaks its their fault..
