Magnaflow exhaust install - before and after sounds
2late4u replied to kuhnhunter's topic in Accessories, Modifications
the after does sound better ,a little deeper sound, do you noticed a drone or deeper noise at highway speed. after i changed my truck muffler to a flow master and then duals out the rear it raised the noise level and the wife was not a happy camper but it was to late to go back. also the affect that with the org. resonators have drip holes and knowing how much water that does drip out of them wonder how long your new ones will last? -
Might add engine oil cooler to 15' crossroad what do I need?
2late4u replied to crossroad's topic in Hauling & Towing
have your dealer check your vin # if its on there it will show there. also doing additional engine work might void your warranty in my opinion if its not broke why take the chance your already covered on the powertrain why mess with it......and you can buy an extended warranty thru the internet from mopar for about 800-900 look at the extended warranty post. i bought a lifetime miles and yrs max warranty for about 2200. and that covers everything as it said if its mechanical and breaks its covered. 100 deductible after the 3yr 36k warranty and also after the extended powertrain warranty plays out. air cond ,electronics , -

Should I complain about the factory paint job?
2late4u replied to scorpionman1958's topic in Appearance
they will, and i am sure you will be 100 percent happy with the repaint and if not keep all your paperwork and be nice but firm and continue up the chain of command until you get it fixed . but i am sure they will take care of you.... -
Should I complain about the factory paint job?
2late4u replied to scorpionman1958's topic in Appearance
i worked at the st louis caravan plant for 2-3 yrs before i retired and the car also could have got damaged at the plant and got repaired there and that would not show up on any carfax report or any paperwork. i was in inspection at the end of the line and worked day shift and hate to say this but it is the truth we would put red tags on them going down the line for defects mostly paint defects and they would set them aside and try to fix them and then rerun them later and if we caught them again they would set them aside again an wait for a rainy night and then run them down the line on second shift to get them out the door it would piss us off on day shift but nothing we could do about it..... -
seen one being towed today behind a big motor home ,he was from Canada. wonder if he is on this blog oh well the front wheels were off the ground on this one. cant see where that would cause any problems on any fwd.

yea i would continue to follow this up, that would bother the hell out of me.. i had aa caravan that was white and the rear bumper guard was a off white color the dealer buffed it out the best they could but since they don't paint the covers they come in already painted their wasn't much they could do so i let it go but it wasn't as noticeable as your door.. i would go get 2 estimates or letters from some of the paint shops confirming that their is the noticeable paint differences and as far as the dealer telling you that they might have to paint half the car say so what at least it will be a closer match as a whole paint job. good luck... also get paper work every time you talk to them and all work done on it... -

thats about right i traded my 2011 for my 2014 crossroad. dealer gave me 12k on trade so had to add 10k. 2011 had 75k on the odometer but was in great shape. on avg you lose 3-4k per yr for the first few yrs on any car or truck. now if i had tried to sell it might have got 1-2k more but liked the crossroad so i did it. also with most used cars not much warranty left and with cars getting so expensive to repair . i purchased the unlimited yrs and miles max warranty over the internet on this one . plan on wearing it out.....

jkeaton is right...after you are driving and hit the reset and like you said it read 35mpg that is not a real mpg you are getting as it doesn't take into account starting and stopping. only real way of checking your mpg is to use 2-3 tank full of gas and using your miles you have driven and divide to get a true mpg reading also depend on driving conditions and how you drive no one person gets the same but that said about 22-23 on avg for me city and hwy. straight interstate about 24-28 mpg depending on road conditions and how many rest stops..

Help, need to lower my 2015 journey
2late4u replied to scorpionman1958's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
some caravans had pillar grab handles, have never seen any on journeys, you could probably have some put on at a custom shop but i am sure the cost would be high and of course not look right. -

think you have covered all your options. 1 thing you could do if she doesn't ride in it all the time or drive it. build a small 3 inch high x 20 long and 15 wide rectangular box for her to step on and when getting in and out.had to fix something like that for my wifes mother who had a stroke, yes it was a pain getting it out and back in but she didnt ride in the caravan thaT much except going to and from the dr.. good luck -
buy a garmin for $90. with lifetime maps and save yourself a lot of $$ and hassle also big $$ for map updates as been mentioned from some posters. ask your dealer how much to install your back up cam for you mine charged me $90. last yr ,and if you put it in yourself you will still have to flash your car and they will charge you for that, might not be that more to let them do it and then they are responsible for any damage or something not working right , just a heads up..... good luck on what ever you decide Lee Auto Parts | Car Parts & Accessories LeeParts.com $285.00 for mopar production back up cam list is $305.
-
no they are not pre wired. check with your dealer using your vin they will tell you what radio you have. also check out the topics that refer to back up cams. cost is about $265 -305 U,S, for the cam and dealer install from $90. and up.. and from what i hear the navigation is more expensive and really not worth the cost and trouble.. check out the different topics in the forum for more info.

bramfrank i was just saying what i paid and i know he isnt a chry employee . but everyone that goes in to buy a car should never pay retail or window sticker price, i have bought gm and ford before and always negotiated a lower price and then rec any rebates that are available. as i have found our discount is not always the cheapest way to buy a car but is a lot easier then trying to visit 3-5 dealers and haggling for the best price. just saying he should be able to get a little better deal as they are cutting about 3k off the sticker price which i guess the rebate of 1500 is part of that so i would think with some haggling he might get about 1500 more off if he tries hard enough

2015 Dodge Journey Crossroads
2late4u replied to Ray Morrow's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
going on 19k on my 2014 crossroad and have had it 9 months so far, just have to keep the roads hot going to and from the casinos LOL p. s. Ray glad to hear from you every so often.... -
well if you look at the front calipers there is no way you could turn them back like you do the rears. same as always use a c clamp and makes sure you don't damage the cups or seals i always use the old pad to bottom out the cup while being pushed back in..
-
i get the chrysler retiree discount and 3k off a 21k car is about what we get off and then add in any rebates which i believe is about 3-4k right now. so sounds like they are just taking off the rebate from the retail price you should be able to get more off than that and don't let them add any paint sealant or fabric cloth protection or any other silly cost to the car.....as with my discount the more expensive the car is the bigger the discount my 2014 crossroad was about 27k window with 3k off discount and then 4k rebate after that so was out the door for less than 21k
