BackUp Camera delay?
2late4u replied to NomoreJeep's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
actually i wish there wasn't the lag when you first put it into rev. i remember a article i read from a expensive car maker that said about the same thing why have to wait after shifting into rev, i felt he was talking about dodge when he said it.. also the warning when first starting the car up and having to accept on the radio to be pushed but then goes away without having to push it is also dumb idea,as if it would do away with any legal issue that might come up....... -
did mine on my 2011 it was not to hard but remove the tire makes it a lot easier also one of the cables that connect to the battery was at a 45 degree offset and was a different size nut that i remember which was about 1.5 yrs ago . but no sweat take your time and save some money P.S. beware of sharp edges lol

headlight protection
2late4u replied to 2late4u's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
well don't go thur al. as i just had a rock chip fixed last week. and also have 2-3 other places that rocks hit and made little pit marks all in the last 8 months . with my 2011 journey in 3 yrs only 2 little pit marks -
Dodge 2014 Journey LampGardĀ® Headlight Protection I am thinking of using this product from weathertech on my headlights. years ago i put some on my 2004 caravan and was real happy with it. It never yellowed or got scratched up except in one spot where a rock hit it and put a small cut in the plastic covering, i am sure it would have cracked the lens if it had not been covered. i cant remember if I bought that from weathertech or some where else. i watched the info directions and it was the same process as weathertec is showing. I wonder will the new headlight lens that they use now turn yellow or get hazy as the older cars have. the cost for this stuff is about $54. didnt see if they gave free shipping on it..

actually i use double 00 or 000 steel wool on my windshield once to twice a yr it will not hurt or scratch the glass and it removes all the road chemicals and imperfections on top of the glass. smooth as babies but after its done

the car should not unlock unless you touch the door handles or press the unlock button on the remote, now that said my 2011 that i had ,no problem but with my 2014 after i get out and have pushed the lock button and get about to the rear of the car they unlock and the car beeps 3 times as if i left my keys inside. only happens once in a while and the dealer has no idea what is causing it. the dimming dial is supposed to dim all your lights so not sure why you would be having that problem. maybe other posters can help, you might run by your local dodge dealership and ask for a little help on figuring it out ,, good luck also as the newer cars come with more fancy bells and whistles the more problems you can end up with,i still haven't paired up my phone with my 2014 and haven't even used the cd or dvd player and its been almost a yr now....

Very loud
2late4u replied to Nikki nikki's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
dealer has some updates for the radios if they are needed for your radio and the headlights can be adjusted using the adjustment screws on top of the brackets. both of which should be covered under your warranty i would suppose. -

would be easier and probably a lot cheaper to trade it in and update to a new awd journey and have a warranty with it...

yrs ago my brother who lives in michigan out in the country was going home, its on a dirt road so he is going real slow and about 1 block from his house a deer jumps right in front of his new truck takes out the grill and lights so he finally gets it back and within one week as he is going home at the same spot in the road that the last deer jumped in front of him the sides of the road are slight inclines on both sides so he is barley moving and a deer jumps out again only lands on top of his hood and also breaks the windshield and then scrambles off ok. his insurance shot up after that one alot........

Finally, My Crossroad Looks Like The Chicago Show Crossroad!
2late4u replied to dhh3's topic in Wheels & Tires
where did you buy them .I just looked on tire rack looks like about 824. plus mounting . never have bought tires over the internet not to sure about it. was wondering did you have a problem as most places wont replace tires with a different size than what is listed from the dealer. first time with tires of this size makes them alot $$$$ lol -
no reason to go to the dealer if you dont want to my last fluid and filter change with my reg mech. was 125. i don't do flushes as i heard different stores so i just stick with the reg filter and fluid.. and to be honest it has been about 6 yrs ago when i had the last one done. i just called a dodge dealer and he said $199. and that was for a trans flush. so i asked about doing spark plugs and they quoted $289. for the 3.6 engine

you will find about 21-23 about avg for combined driving depending on your driving style and 24-28 strictly interstate driving. mostly is what i see of about 19 in city but i live in a small town so i hardly ever see that #####

my 2014 is better than my 2011 journey was about the gas . but like some others say i put the gas in as slow as i can and tilt the handle a little bit and when getting full if i want to top it off i pull the pump out almost to the little flap that you can see inside the opening and fill it some more but usually i don't do that as i have heard you can get flow back into the gas vapor recirculation system. my gauge will show a full tank more than my 2011 would....

well i would have gone to the head guy and told him nicely that if they wanted my repeat sales and recommendations to my friends that they should do it for free and or refund the money to me or maybe he might offer you a free 2 yr oil change service on top of your first 4 free oil services that you will get instead of a refund. good luck and remember their are lots of dodge dealers that you can use...

I would refill it several times and if you think something is wrong take it back to the dealer...Welcome to the group...

Persistently blowing power steering hose
2late4u replied to RodOracheski's topic in Engine & Transmission
try taking the hose and ends to a hydraulic shop to make you a new one.. worth the try and switch to synthetic fluid
