jkeaton is right...after you are driving and hit the reset and like you said it read 35mpg that is not a real mpg you are getting as it doesn't take into account starting and stopping. only real way of checking your mpg is to use 2-3 tank full of gas and using your miles you have driven and divide to get a true mpg reading also depend on driving conditions and how you drive no one person gets the same but that said about 22-23 on avg for me city and hwy. straight interstate about 24-28 mpg depending on road conditions and how many rest stops..

Help, need to lower my 2015 journey
2late4u replied to scorpionman1958's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
some caravans had pillar grab handles, have never seen any on journeys, you could probably have some put on at a custom shop but i am sure the cost would be high and of course not look right. -
Help, need to lower my 2015 journey

think you have covered all your options. 1 thing you could do if she doesn't ride in it all the time or drive it. build a small 3 inch high x 20 long and 15 wide rectangular box for her to step on and when getting in and out.had to fix something like that for my wifes mother who had a stroke, yes it was a pain getting it out and back in but she didnt ride in the caravan thaT much except going to and from the dr.. good luck -
buy a garmin for $90. with lifetime maps and save yourself a lot of $$ and hassle also big $$ for map updates as been mentioned from some posters. ask your dealer how much to install your back up cam for you mine charged me $90. last yr ,and if you put it in yourself you will still have to flash your car and they will charge you for that, might not be that more to let them do it and then they are responsible for any damage or something not working right , just a heads up..... good luck on what ever you decide Lee Auto Parts | Car Parts & Accessories LeeParts.com $285.00 for mopar production back up cam list is $305.

no they are not pre wired. check with your dealer using your vin they will tell you what radio you have. also check out the topics that refer to back up cams. cost is about $265 -305 U,S, for the cam and dealer install from $90. and up.. and from what i hear the navigation is more expensive and really not worth the cost and trouble.. check out the different topics in the forum for more info.

bramfrank i was just saying what i paid and i know he isnt a chry employee . but everyone that goes in to buy a car should never pay retail or window sticker price, i have bought gm and ford before and always negotiated a lower price and then rec any rebates that are available. as i have found our discount is not always the cheapest way to buy a car but is a lot easier then trying to visit 3-5 dealers and haggling for the best price. just saying he should be able to get a little better deal as they are cutting about 3k off the sticker price which i guess the rebate of 1500 is part of that so i would think with some haggling he might get about 1500 more off if he tries hard enough

2015 Dodge Journey Crossroads
2late4u replied to Ray Morrow's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
going on 19k on my 2014 crossroad and have had it 9 months so far, just have to keep the roads hot going to and from the casinos LOL p. s. Ray glad to hear from you every so often.... -
well if you look at the front calipers there is no way you could turn them back like you do the rears. same as always use a c clamp and makes sure you don't damage the cups or seals i always use the old pad to bottom out the cup while being pushed back in..

i get the chrysler retiree discount and 3k off a 21k car is about what we get off and then add in any rebates which i believe is about 3-4k right now. so sounds like they are just taking off the rebate from the retail price you should be able to get more off than that and don't let them add any paint sealant or fabric cloth protection or any other silly cost to the car.....as with my discount the more expensive the car is the bigger the discount my 2014 crossroad was about 27k window with 3k off discount and then 4k rebate after that so was out the door for less than 21k

BackUp Camera delay?

actually i wish there wasn't the lag when you first put it into rev. i remember a article i read from a expensive car maker that said about the same thing why have to wait after shifting into rev, i felt he was talking about dodge when he said it.. also the warning when first starting the car up and having to accept on the radio to be pushed but then goes away without having to push it is also dumb idea,as if it would do away with any legal issue that might come up....... -
did mine on my 2011 it was not to hard but remove the tire makes it a lot easier also one of the cables that connect to the battery was at a 45 degree offset and was a different size nut that i remember which was about 1.5 yrs ago . but no sweat take your time and save some money P.S. beware of sharp edges lol

headlight protection
2late4u replied to 2late4u's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
well don't go thur al. as i just had a rock chip fixed last week. and also have 2-3 other places that rocks hit and made little pit marks all in the last 8 months . with my 2011 journey in 3 yrs only 2 little pit marks -
Dodge 2014 Journey LampGardĀ® Headlight Protection I am thinking of using this product from weathertech on my headlights. years ago i put some on my 2004 caravan and was real happy with it. It never yellowed or got scratched up except in one spot where a rock hit it and put a small cut in the plastic covering, i am sure it would have cracked the lens if it had not been covered. i cant remember if I bought that from weathertech or some where else. i watched the info directions and it was the same process as weathertec is showing. I wonder will the new headlight lens that they use now turn yellow or get hazy as the older cars have. the cost for this stuff is about $54. didnt see if they gave free shipping on it..

actually i use double 00 or 000 steel wool on my windshield once to twice a yr it will not hurt or scratch the glass and it removes all the road chemicals and imperfections on top of the glass. smooth as babies but after its done

the car should not unlock unless you touch the door handles or press the unlock button on the remote, now that said my 2011 that i had ,no problem but with my 2014 after i get out and have pushed the lock button and get about to the rear of the car they unlock and the car beeps 3 times as if i left my keys inside. only happens once in a while and the dealer has no idea what is causing it. the dimming dial is supposed to dim all your lights so not sure why you would be having that problem. maybe other posters can help, you might run by your local dodge dealership and ask for a little help on figuring it out ,, good luck also as the newer cars come with more fancy bells and whistles the more problems you can end up with,i still haven't paired up my phone with my 2014 and haven't even used the cd or dvd player and its been almost a yr now....

Very loud
2late4u replied to Nikki nikki's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
dealer has some updates for the radios if they are needed for your radio and the headlights can be adjusted using the adjustment screws on top of the brackets. both of which should be covered under your warranty i would suppose. -

would be easier and probably a lot cheaper to trade it in and update to a new awd journey and have a warranty with it...
