  1. LOL join a group and then start complaining about the quirks of said journey as if no other car has their short comings,,, oh well welcome to the group any ways and hope you have better luck in the future on the vehicle,,,just wondering if you have the 2.4 eng or the 3.6 eng?
  2. my 2014 had a time going Thru upside down camera angles and inop frequencies at different times and then finally it went black so into the dealership since I had extended warranty on it and they replaced the camera lens and that what was the problem, many videos on you tube about replacing it as well, one other possible problem area is the wires going Thur the hatch back at the upper left side in the rubber boot which the camera wires have to go Thur, could be a broken wire or shorted out wire as well.........good luck and please report back on what you find to be the problem for others to learn from
  3. then you need to take it to a radiator shop or a dodge dealership which will cost you more BUT they usually know more about their product than most repair shops
  4. when the journey is sitting at idle in park, does your rad fan come on.? Please have your vehicle checked out by a specialist before you ruin your engine
  5. might not be the proper way but a lot faster and easier also would be a great time to replace the upper toe links as well with the strut out of your way
  6. it will,,,, what they told me was when the tpms with the low battery gets so low, even if you move it to a different position the tpms module still remembers the last position it was in
  7. mine did me the same way, drove me crazy for a while as i tried to figure it out and but then it finally went out and I just replaced all 4 TPMS since I had a 2014, that fixed it right away as they batteries were getting low and the shop said the tpm rec module wont act right after they get so low,,,yes it is $$$ but it fixed the problem,,save yourself some $$ from using the parts cannon and just re[place them
  8. you might have a broken wire in the drivers door in the rubber boot area a know weak space for the wires,,,is it all the doors not turning on the lights when opened?what about when you open the rear hatch do they come on then?
  9. If you cant do the work or have some one you trust to do it on the side then, yes you are at the mercy of whoever you use,,prices can vary wildly between auto repair shops of course you get what you pay for most of the time.....$890 is kind of high on the brakes as far as I am concerned with, parts off Amazon should be around 4 rotors for around $200,, pads around $60 to $120 for the good brands(akebono)are the only pads I will use,,,plus labor the rest just depends on parts and labor ,but all of what you posted needs to be fixed right away also good price on the alignment where I live $ 99. is the cheapest that they will do for a 4 wheel alignment job which is req on journeys $106 on Amazon for front wheel bearing plus labor
  10. thanks for replying back on the fix as that is how others can learn what might be their fix for certain problems
  11. antifreeze jugs are prone to crack, also could it be a drip from your ac drain hole? Put some cardboard down with some rocks on it to keep it from blowing away and then you should be able to tell from the color which fluid it is.
  12. Well probably It would be better to take it back to the dealership since they had already worked on it and as they have a lot more experience and equipment to diagnosis your journey problem... Have to ask if you just got it from the dealership and it was still running rough why didn't you take it back right away ,seems to be the right thing to do to me?
  13. Most probably in the rubber boot in the left upper rear part of your lift gate, this is a weak spot on dodge journeys for wires to break or short out...look on you tube for videos on how and where to fix broken wires in this spot and please report back on what you find out was your problem and how you fixed it for others that might have a simpler problem..also check out the forum for more info on this has been asked before, good luck and Welcome to the group as well
  14. i have a 2014 as well, sounds like the trans is going out on you, mine is JUST FWD but i would assume that since you have an AWD and even if the the rear went out you should still have FWD still, sounds like having it diagnostic will give you exactly what has went wrong and of course that usually cost you some $$ but still cheaper than throwing parts at your journey when you are not sure what is wrong..sorry this has happened to you, but please report back when you find out the problem is for others that might occur this as well........Welcome to the group as well and good luck
  15. 4 yr old battery ,,,yes just replace it and make sure your connections are clean and tight
  16. the 4 spds ONLY go into the journeys with the 2.4 engine and the 6 spds only go into the ones with the 3.6 engine
  17. i am no way a transmission man but since you replaced the filter and fluid, and it is still doing it there might be a trans update they could do but i would be more into the solenoid shift module which is inside of your trans might need a twick or something ..............one symptom of a bad unit,,,,, 3. Hard Gear Changes........... gear changes after a slow change up or down are another strong indicator of a shift solenoid problem. You’ll often hear a clunking sound, and the car might lurch for a moment as it grabs the next gear. Again, it can happen when you’re going up or down the tree, but you’re more likely to notice it shifting from first to second. In some cars, hard downshifts with normal upshifting can mean that the problem is isolated to just the downshifting solenoid. This is just one solenoid in the entire transmission solenoid pack. You’re most likely to notice an issue like this if you’re coasting to a stop and the road has a mild incline. At some point, before you step on the brakes, the transmission downshifts with a soft “Clunk.”
  18. about 6 months ago mine made a funny noise as it was closing BUT it still works if when closing it i push it back closed, gently i wasnt sure what happened but as long as it will close i didnt want to tear into it as i have a poor track record on fixing things like this....LOl
  19. i couldn't figure out what he was saying as well
  20. LOL........ We hit the mother load
  21. well first you need to find out IF you have AWD or FWD first, if FWD check out youtube videos to see if you have a cv axle going bad or also could be a wheel bearing as well, if you have AWD that opens the door to a lot more expensive problems towards the rear,,,check out the forum under Engine/driveline for more info
  22. Found this on youtube for you LOTS of great videos and info can be found there,,,,,,,,,,welcome to the group
  23. welcome to the group i as well have a 2014 crossroad 3.6 FWD. please take some time and read thur the forum under the different section, a lot of great info there
  24. my typing sucks and so does my vision, yes around 70-90 degree weather temps ,206 normal operating temp after being warmed up with 211- 215 normal driving on freeway and in town and 218 has been my highest temp i have ever seen in my 2014,I also just replaced my thermostat last yr as well with mopar coolant...sorry for my mistake on the temps all in fahrenheit readings
  25. last post from me on this as you dont sound serious but no i live in Alabama which is in the southern part of the U.S,and am talking fahrenheit so no the numbers you are talking about are way to high, i urge you to have your journey checked by the dodge dealership as they are QUALIFIED to work on it before you overheat your engine
