48 psi is really high and if that is when they are cold then when they heat up they will rise to 50 -51 psi . i have never heard of psi that high i always run around 36 -37 psi. true running that high will get you better mpg but you run the risk of having your tires ove-rinflated and risk having a blow out at hi-way speeds. and also your tires will wear out faster in the middle of the tire . with less traction during wet weather.its your choice as to what you want to do but i would let the psi down at least to 40-41 at the most...goood luck and keep it between the ditches.......

Anyone know how to disassemble the side mirrors?
2late4u replied to mthurston0001's topic in Appearance
if you are not sure stop by some body shop or your dealership body shop with the mirror and they prob. will help you or show you how to do what you are wanting . i have done this with other problems and most places are willing to help you out for the goodwill gesture. -
had a 2004 caravan that would bump and make a noise when hitting certin chuck holes but not all the time and it kept getting a little worse so i jacked up the right side and the left and found there was a rubber bushing loose i think it was on a sway bar and it had worked its way out of the clamp holding it. well it was getting late so i lube it up a bit and was able to get it back into the clamp and i tightened the hell out of it. never had any more problems or noise. so doesnt hurt to look under and check things out.. good luck

2011 Dodge Journey steering wheel vibration
2late4u replied to BSDodge's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
i too bought a torque wrench a few yrs ago. found out i prob. had been over torqueing my wheel nuts to tight. 95 ftlbs is not as hard as you would think. but you have a slight tire or wheel problem i would rotate the front to rear to see if it solves the problem good luck also do NOT use grease or anti-seize grease on the studs as that lets you over tighten the lugs also -
ADDING BACK-UP CAM TO EXISTING UCONNECT 8.4
2late4u replied to Felix A. Nunez's topic in Accessories, Modifications
if you go to the website above (leeparts.com) and click on the backup cam part it will tell you which radios it will work with. do like i did before i had the parts man order it i gave him my vin # and he checked and said yes it will work with your radio that way any problems come up i can say your parts guy said it was compatabile with my radio. this cam only works with certin radios.... also i did not order thur this web site i went thur my dealership that i use and bought my journey from. good luck as i really like my rear cam when backing up.... -
havent had any problems with my journeys but with my 2004 and 2007 caravans would get a nosie from the power steering sometimes so i would suck some of power steering fuild out with a turkey baster and then add some lucas power steering additive to the unit and never had any more noise from than on. on the air cond. you could have some one add some freon and oil additives. they have some made to help the seals and bearings. might be worth having it done. have never tried to add it myself.. good luck

ADDING BACK-UP CAM TO EXISTING UCONNECT 8.4
2late4u replied to Felix A. Nunez's topic in Accessories, Modifications
go to http://www.leeparts.com and enter your info on your journey and then click mopar then click electrical then scroll down to back up cam retail $305 discounted price $ 265 which is a good deal ask your dealer to match this price or you could prob buy it yourself and get them to install or do it youyrself as it is all easy plug and play but you have to run the cable from the hatch to the front and then have to have dealer do their flash to complete the job. i am retired from chry. and get 25 off parts so my cost on the cam was 228. from the dealer plus the 90 to install.. works great and comes with 12/12000 mile warranty.. -
ADDING BACK-UP CAM TO EXISTING UCONNECT 8.4
2late4u replied to Felix A. Nunez's topic in Accessories, Modifications
the dodge dealer did my 2011 for$90. total and if you do it yourself you will still have to take it to the dealer so they can add the sales code or flash your car and i have been told they charge $50. for that. so for a little more let them do it. now that said i traded in my 2011 for a 14 crossroad and needed a backup put in it and then the same dealer said he wanted $150 to do it , so i said forget it, i got a little loud with them about buying a new car from them and being a loyal returning car buyer from them and turned to leave and the service manager came after me and said he would do it for the $90. so i had it done. so call around to different dealers checking their labor chartge for doing it they all charghe different prices good luck.... -

dang i never ment anything is wrong, and was just correcting your post on the price quote i rec. but you do seem to be reacting quite strongly to a simple observation. but hey if you feel better now so much the better. also my one point of my orginal post was since i only kept my 2011 3 years buying a lifetime warranty might not be a great deal for me. as i said before sorry i ruffled any feathers and have a great day -
so i see a topic has pad lock on it. So how does one get locked or why? not lazy but was looking on the site and couldnt find anything about this... lol any one know...

ive had the small front one pop off several times but it just pops back on. but had problems with my 2011 with the side plastic one break off as it is held on by plastic clip built into the side its self. i tried glueing it but ended up drilling a small hole thur the middle of it while holding it in place then ran a small black screw with a large head thur it. and i never had any more problems with the plastic side coming off and since i used a black screw it didnt look bad and took care of the problem...

just bought a new 14 crossroad and the dealer wanted 2500 for just a liftime powertrain warr. i was looking for the bumper to bumper lifetime and he said chrysler didnt offer it anymore but found a web site www.chryslerwarrantys.com that seems to offer such a policy for around $2391. non transferable saying it was aval. not sure if i want to pay that much as i only kept my 2011 mainstreet 3 yrs with no prob. except a battery and had just replaced the rear pads and put on some used tires. of course wasnt really had planned on getting rid of it but my saledman offered such a great deal on a trade on this crossroad...... just checked they wanted 1097, for the liftime power train warr. so that is a big discount from what the dealer offered. -
just traded in my 11 mainstreet for a 14 crossroad so far likeing it, i have the perforated seats with leather trimm the one thing had to add was heated seats for the wife, also had a back up cam installed. the crossroad doesnt have all the bells and whistles that my mainstreet had but not worried about that any way. like the 19 inch wheels untill i have to replace the tires i guess, lol.. just wondering if i should get an extended warrenty was checking online looks like would cost about $2381 for a bumper to bumper lifetime warr. if you keep it 10yrs would make sense but if i only keep it 3 or 4 yrs then looks like wasted money. since it cant be transfered?
