i called curt and told them i had a 2014 crossroad and they said they had no hitch that would fit and i told them about this that i thought it was hust because of the bumper plastic fit rubbed on it and they said they didnt know but would not sell a hitch to a 14 crossroad owner for safty reasons.. oh well might have to lie and get one for a 2015 journey if i want to have a hitch.. does the wireing kit they sell solve the problem about going back to the dealer to have it flashed or do you still haver to fool with the dealership..maybee we could get NitroNoMore to post us a pic of his hitch that he installed showing the bumper to hitch space

went to the mobilty store and was checking on getting a hitch put on my 2014 3.6 crossroad and the installer said no such hitch listed for it from curt. now he said 2012 and 2015 journeys are listed for class 2 and 3 hitch but nothing for a 2014 crossroad. he called curt and they said none listed. doesnt make sence that a yr before and a yr after 2014 they have hitches but none for the 2014...... ugh,, havent tried u-hual yet maybee they can rig one up...

of course while on vacation my daughter called and said her van started showing a brake light but she said it was stopping but not quite as good as it always did. i was about 700miles away so said have some one check the fuild and i would be home in a few days. i went by a dodge dealer and talked to them about the brake light with the manager and asked him if the rear brakes were wore down would that activate the brake light and he said no. so when i got home and checked the rears as i knew they hadent been changed ever and they were slap ass out so i put new shoes on and the brake light went off .....not saying your rear brakes are bad but get them checked it could be anything going wrong.

leave the tape on it blends better.. just my thought....

yea it did seem high but the wife didnt really NOT want to trade in our 2011 mainstreet but i was ready and didnt notice this one didnt have the heated seats and drls and the security system that our old one had, and a happy wife makes a happy life.......

no problem from my crossroad except the doorlooks not unlocking or doing it by itself but other than that i love it i have almost 10k on mine..

why dont you go to the dealer and look at their books at the parts counter he will help you with the right part and name and price,, alot simpler than the way you are doing now...

just wondering but Ray did you work at chrysler. in hunstville. if so i worked there also had to finnish up in St. Louis.....

problem is they have to see it happens or else they cant do anything and with mine it happens at different times. happened today so i got back in shut the door started the car back up then shut it off opened the door hit the lock and got out shut the door and got to the rear bumper and nothing happened. so we would have a hard time getting the dealer to check it.. oh well.

Well looked in my manual and didnt see anything on which way to rotate my tires so looked on the internet and pros and cons on each way. Front to back and crisscross the rears when doing front to back, so ended up just doing the front to back and will stick to that. Had close to 10k on the speedo and did it myself since i am retired and my time is worth alot less now that i dont work and i just enjoy doing the little things if i can..Also remember cold weather is coming in so check your air pressure and pump them up...also first time with the 19 inch rims and tires and so far the kumos are wearing good and hope they last as my last 17 inch tires did, close to 60 k on them kumos and still had tread left.

i had one added to my 2011 and then added one to my 2014, i let the dealer do it as they only charged me $90. for the install and the camera was $265. so i thought if i have to pay a dealer to flash it hell ill just let them do the install that way if something goes wrong or some trim gets broke its on them... love my back up cam.

are u going by the evic reading or miles divided by gallons ? also memphis to nashville is not alot of miles or tank refills to get an accurate mpg. sure somtimes i get a high reading of 26mpg but very rarely and if i do its fill up drive till empty then refill. no inbetween city driving. but whatever you are getting hope it continues. take care....

my dealer couldnt do it but said they used local shop called kat skins (i think its spelled different ) cost me little less than $500. and it doesnt work thur the radio it has buttons on the side of the seats also on the passenger side they cant put the heat pad on the botton seat just the back because of a speacial senser in the seat bottom.

well i have had a 2011 and now a 2014 crossroad and with both i avg about 22mpg driving a little city and more hwy driving about 70 mph. i always go by miles divided by gallons and that is what i mostly avg. now if i looked at the evic i see 24or 26 or 22 always a little diferent. that only tells you what you are getting at that time and doesnt figure in stopping and driving i just posted 45days to vegas post and had a running total of about 2200 miles and avg22.7mpg loded with a 3 wheel medical scooter and some city driving while we were there. then reset it before coming home and on 1800 miles we got about 24.3mpg so you are getting about what you are going to get. all roads and driving experince will affect your mpg.. good luck p. s. both of my vech were frt wheel drive.

well left out from al going to vegas and took 3 nites going out about 1800 miles, no problems and was getting about 23mpg figuring mileage by gallons into miles of course evic was reporting a little better .this figure included city driving once we were out there so i was happy with it, was loaded with a 3 wheel medical scooter so there was some extra wight. once there had a problem with the unlocking and locking the car by touching the handles or trunk button but thought well wait till i get back, then the next moring the air would only come out thur the floor vents, started it and shut it off and all the movments thur the air control buttons but nothing changed so called a local dealer and made a apt. for cople of days down the road to take it in. well the day i was to take it in the air started working okay thur all the vents so called and cancelled the apt. and since then no more problems with the air but the locks still acting up every once in a while also if i get out of the car with the keys and then start going towards the rear of the car and the wife gets out and locks the car it will sometime beep as if the keys are still in the car. will let the deaker look at it next time when it goes in for the oil change. got sick for 2 days with some bad sea food man that was rough. well had a great time and didnt lose all our money that we took so drove home and was getting a little better mpg about 24.3 and evic was always saying a little better. of course the elavation helped get alot better mpg. but ended up real pleased with how the car drove on the trip.....

well my 2014 has a slight problem sometimes unlocking and beeping at me 3 times after i get out and manually lock the car and shut the door as i walk by the rear hatch corner the car will beep three times and unlock it self. or it if i get out and the wife locks her side as she gets out and i am by the rear of the car it does the same thing. not happing lot but enough to be a need to have it checked out next time it goes in the shop, but of course they will say they have to see it happen before they can do anything and as we all know a watched pot never boils... P. S, also when it happened with the wife locking the car she does not have her key fob with her, for some reason the car thinks there is still a key fob inside the car while being locked.. will be going on a long vac on monday so wont be able to talk to a dealer for about 4 weeks.. will update if and when i find out anything......

i agree with lobitz68 as you can buy a 2014 right now with 4k rebates and prices getting better as the 2015 are now being sold . and with a 2013-2014 you get the upgraded brakes that are alot better than the 2011-2012 as far as the transmission problems i am on my 2nd journey and would recommend the journey to any one wanting one..ALL car manufactures have some problems with their trans and brakes and as lobitz68 stated you can buy an exteneded warr over the internet at a great discount i was just checking and for my 2014 crossroad i cab buy a bumper to bumper mopar unlimeted yrs and milage for $2245.00 from zeigler dodge dealership. which i plan on doing after i get back from my vacation.. so check around for your best dealer but i would go new vs a used one....

check with your dealer to be sure but if it is frt wheel drive only and not all wheel drive then yes you should be able to use a tow dolly with the front wheels lifted , but as i said check with your dealer just to be safe......

i had the weather tech window guards on my 2011 and first time i lowered the rear window bang out the window it went i stopped and gotl it and only a small scratch on the edge of it but not bad ,and when i bought my 14 crossroad and i traded in my old one i took the front guards out but have not installed them on my new one and not sure i will. seems like after i put them in my 2011 i got a little more wind noise or road nosie. so i guess that was a waste of $75. for them oh well maybe ill try to sell them on craigs list...........

Well getting ready to go on a long trip and needing a little more room in the back and with the 2 seat option you have a 3 section lift floor that gives you more storage. problem is when dodge designed it, they put the side with the carpet on to match the car on the back section that you have to lift up,it is very hard to use the way you have to lift it so. I just flipped the whole thing upside down and put the smooth vinal side face up and it makes it alot more sense and you can then lift the one end section up with one hand instead of having to wrestle with it the way it comes from the factory you have to use two hands to flip both sections just to put something under there. What the hell was the dodge enginers were thinking when they come up with their way of doing it.Have had the car for about 2-3months and have been fighting with this since I got it... LOL oh well

well if they are clicking while turing then they are bad sometimes you cant see the dry bearings inside the boots,have never changed them on a journey but i did my daughters 2007 caravan and it really wasnt that hard after you do it you wonder why they charge so much check out you tube for vidieos on hoe to do it..... good luck

well my 1st journey my11 had a few clunks every once in a while but over all about 75k miles with nothing to make me worry untill the end and then i got a code saying something about the trans while in the repair shop which they said it was a glitch in the system and nothing was wrong i ended up buying my new 14 crossroad journey and with about 4k on it so far and getting ready for a trip which will add about 5k more, havent had had any problems so far so knock on wood...so i guess i am a happy camper with my journeys.......... P,S, which engine did you have????????

at least your dealer said it could be done. my dealerships in al. said they have no idea on how and they said they called the main help center where ever that is. just what did your dealer tell you has to be done????
