ive had the small front one pop off several times but it just pops back on. but had problems with my 2011 with the side plastic one break off as it is held on by plastic clip built into the side its self. i tried glueing it but ended up drilling a small hole thur the middle of it while holding it in place then ran a small black screw with a large head thur it. and i never had any more problems with the plastic side coming off and since i used a black screw it didnt look bad and took care of the problem...

just bought a new 14 crossroad and the dealer wanted 2500 for just a liftime powertrain warr. i was looking for the bumper to bumper lifetime and he said chrysler didnt offer it anymore but found a web site www.chryslerwarrantys.com that seems to offer such a policy for around $2391. non transferable saying it was aval. not sure if i want to pay that much as i only kept my 2011 mainstreet 3 yrs with no prob. except a battery and had just replaced the rear pads and put on some used tires. of course wasnt really had planned on getting rid of it but my saledman offered such a great deal on a trade on this crossroad...... just checked they wanted 1097, for the liftime power train warr. so that is a big discount from what the dealer offered. -
just traded in my 11 mainstreet for a 14 crossroad so far likeing it, i have the perforated seats with leather trimm the one thing had to add was heated seats for the wife, also had a back up cam installed. the crossroad doesnt have all the bells and whistles that my mainstreet had but not worried about that any way. like the 19 inch wheels untill i have to replace the tires i guess, lol.. just wondering if i should get an extended warrenty was checking online looks like would cost about $2381 for a bumper to bumper lifetime warr. if you keep it 10yrs would make sense but if i only keep it 3 or 4 yrs then looks like wasted money. since it cant be transfered?

www.mopar.com/ then click on dodge then click on journey and then scroll down to the back up cam it will fit your crossroad with the right radio in there which i am sure you have . like i said 305 retail dealer install about 90. they also have to add the sales code to your vin for it to work. since i am a chrysler ret. i get 25% off parts so about 225. plus the install of 90 they tried to raise it to 170 but i said no and started to walk out and they came after me and said they would do it for the 90. so check it out all mopar parts covered by the dodge warrenty. well just got my cross road back got the cam installed and also had heated seats put in but since they were put in aftermarket the passenger side could not have the heat put in the seat bottom just the back which was okay because of a weight senser in the seat bottom for the air bags if it comes from the factory with heated seats they use a different senser oh well at least it will help heat my wifes badck and that was all that matters because a happy wife makes a happy life...... -

i am having a back up cam installed today on my 2014 crossroad had to have them order the unit 305 is the list price thur mopar and got them to install it for 90 they wanted 170 but i got a little loud with them since i just bought the car from them and also had a back up cam installed on my last journey about 4 months ago. also i have the 8.4 screen. have the dealer run your vin # to make sure your radio is compatable with the back up cam. also my parts dealer was a new guy and at first said it couldnt be done but he finally got the right parts list up and said hey we can do it. go to the mopar partsweb site and it will show you the cars that the back up cam fits and with what radios.. good luck -
well alot has happened but i did trade in for the 2014 crossroad. they cleared the code on my 2011 and said give it a week to see if there really was a problem. got the crossroad for 9k out the door plus my 2011. drives real good guess i will be complaing when i need to replace the 19 tires. oh well. got home yesterday and was getting ready to post update and a bad storm came thur and a limb tore my electrical wire and weatherhead from the hiuse so was able to get that fixed today and with getting the wiring updated and up to code will cost me alottt $$$ but had to do it..

well dropped off the journey and will hear back later, looked at a 14 crossroad journey and really liked it, a little upgrade from my mainstreet it has the 19 rims not to sure if i want them. they are wanting my car and 10,676. for the crossroad. it list out for 27.5 k and with my chrysler discount and 4k rebate it is about 20834. which is a better deal than i got on my 11 mainstreet. trying to get them trade with 9 cash instead of the 10676. they want. dealer just called and said they cleared the codes on my mainstreet and engine light did not come back on and for me to drive it and if it happens again they would have to check the trans or what ever..LOL so any way i can upgrade to a new journey for about 9k or 10,6k and start over with a new car and full warrenty? what do you all think?
-
well coming home from the movies stopped at local drug store then was taking off and the engine light came on, car driving okay but stopped at next parking lot turned car off and also opened gas cap then tightened it good and started car back up and light still on so went to the local auto zone and they pulled codes with their meter messagess on the inboard computer so the codes mean poss. trans slipping and or speed sensor is out of range. pulled codes up on google and not much info one said probaly have serious trans repair. oh well i have 69k on the speedo well see if the 5yr/100,00 warrenty is any good. also have had dealer service change trans oil and filter at 45k .also no codes are showing up on the cars message center . well take it into dealer thur morning if poss. hope all goes well

60k Miles, Time for New Brakes
2late4u replied to onecrazyfoo4u's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
well i will use advance auto rotors when i do mine in a couple of months already got the wagner thermoquiets pads with the discount and rebate they cost me 62- 20 coupon code and then the 15 rebate for around 25 plus tax and then when the wear out will turn the pads in for a free replacement from advance so that dropps the cost to about 13 plus tax for the pads and the rotors run 51 each so 102- 40 coupon code from retailmenot.com drops the rotors cost to 62 plus tax. so total cost for first brake job would be about 87 plus tax for the fronts and will be even cheaper on the next brake job. plus i have always used advance auto rotors with no problems on all my cars and my daughter does a postal route with her own dodge caravan and about 3 brake jobs ago i had to replace her rotors and used advance on hers and they are still going strong and believe me she is real hard on her brakes. hope you have a good experince with the callahans brakes let us know how they turn out... -

passenger side broke once during warrenty, dealer replaced then broke again after warrenty was expired so i tried glueing the hook back on but didnt hold so i held the part in place and drilled a hole then used a small black screw thur the plastic into the metal base no more problems and looks okay.
-
looked at auto anything and they had the class 3 curt hitch for 130. plus free shipping and they wanted 54. for the wire kit is that all is needed to install this hitch.did you have to get the dealer to flash the computer or since you hooked up to the battery and not using the journey existing wires that you didnt have to go back to the dealer...
-
have had the issue with the trans bump and have had all the updates but it still does it sometimes oh well about 68k and still going strong....

well been a little over a month an about 3k miles later I have noticed alot less brake dust on my rear wheels i used wagner thermoQuite ceramic pads and i am very satisfied with them would recommend them to everyone, but i am staying with the reg thermoQuite pads for the front which i have already bought and will put them on later this year with new rotors at the same time.....
