  1. there are a lot of brands that say they are compatible with mopar systems, that said since you dont know what your machine used, i would if you have already replaced the thermostat is to flush it again and then use mopar coolant which will cost you twice of what the reg brands cost you... reg temp on a 3.6 should be around 100-106 at operating temp and around 112-115 driving on regular roads even during hot temperature, i have never seen mine over 118 at the most even in Alabama temps,,,now of course if you are going up mountain highways then yes it could go higher but i am not privy to what the max would be there.... sounds like you are having a restriction on flow of your coolant upon acceleration or slight hills.......HAVE you REPLACED the thermostat?????????????
  2. 240 is way to high, are the fans kicking on? might be time to put a new thermostat in and also make sure you bleed the air from the system? did you replace the coolant with the correct fluid should NOT be yellow more purple looking,
  3. well i live in alabama so no you must have something wrong, get it scanned for codes have the plugs been changed out with the proper plugs, has the eng air filter been changed out as well,
  4. Welcome to the group, take some time and look thur the forum for a lot of great info
  5. thought id post this off youtube on how to replace or fix broken wires in the upper left rear hatch.........
  6. it will just relearn your style of driving over the next few weeks,, that said i noticed you said the 4 cly so not sure if that trans is a relearn as well as the 6 spd trans,,,, John might chime in here in the next day or so and he will have better info on that
  7. Don't worry about it that small hole you see is the drain hole to let out water created by your exhaust, the dent might just now be the lowest drain spot due to being hit ,,that said it might rust out a bit faster in the next 4-5 yrs but i wouldn't be worried about it just depends on much salt they use on the roads up there.... all journeys leak water out of there...also welcome to the group
  8. i use the K-N air filter that you have to oil,,,also have the cabin air filter K-N as well.... Both have worked out great for me and no problems at 149 k on this journey and also the eng air filter is the K-N that i had on my 2011 and swapped out to my 2014 when i bought it actually swapped it out in the dealership parking lot with the salesman watching me......LOL so 12 yrs of use on it
  9. one thing about our transmissions , they learn how you shift and then if someone else drives it for a bit that drives a lot different from on how you drive it can recalabraight itself, that said my 2014 sometimes (not to often) will hesitate when shifting or downshifting if driven differently from what i just had been driving, not sure if this is what you are noticing ....also no mention of miles and if you are the org owner?
  10. we just got home from the dr office, I didnt notice it after it was warmed up today... one thing tho, yrs ago the dodge dealership had to replace my oil pressure sensor and they had removed the air intake tube that runs from the air box to the rear of the engine and when they reassembled it they left the adjustment clamp loose and the tube was kind of floppy at the connection band for around 4-5 months, and the journey was having a loud noise that went up and down with the engine speed till i finally tracked it down to that loose connection... LOL never trust any mechanic......
  11. i had a air bag light come on yrs ago and i checked youtube and i checked the wiring under the drivers seat and wiggled them and the light went off,, i had not checked for a code, but you might want to try that first.....please report back on what you find out,,,also welcome to the group
  12. if you have flushed it twice and as well trying to flush out the heater core still no heat on the passenger side the heater core is a dual zone core ,it will bypass the plugged side for the passenger side ,probally need a new heater core installed, also check the blend doors on the passanger side to see if they are activating as well, you will want to check out youtube for the shortcut on installing one...the water pump might be going bad since you have done all that you have said you have completed hard to give advise without the journey being checked out by a qualified mechanic, you can keep guessing on what to do or have it checked out before you overheat it and ruin the engine
  13. will do it this morning just for you....LOL
  14. mostly just warming up as i said i really dont listen for it
  15. yes i hear what you are talking about, doesn't bother me when i hear it on my journey, actually mine is a bit louder than that i think 149980 k as well
  16. Guess we will never know as posters are usually only concerned about their own problem and NEVER report back as to what fixed their problem, which is a shame as that is what does not help others that might encounter the same problem,,,, that said i have a 2014 in alabama and upon start up yes i do hear the power steering whine for a while, guess i have just got use io it the slight kocks i hear when going over a small bump or dip bothers me more than anything else, but it is what it is
  17. go det an OEM switch i would guess, did the replacement look identical to the old part?
  18. after your first post i googled it and seen what you are talking about the coolant filter ,and yes that would be a big help i would assume, BUT flush of the coolant thur the engine and or heater core would be the first thing i would do before changing out the next heater core,,, but the filter looks like it might be a good choice for you,,,please report back on what you end of doing.....AND by the way welcome to the group as well
  19. have never heard of a coolant filter, that said since you have done so many heater cores replacement have any reverse flashes done before the change? so what is the 3.6 jeep guys do with a coolant filter?
  20. i wouldn't buy any AWD vehicle, there is just to much potential problems and expense along with the maintenance as well..... and even tho i live in al and we only get a short winter of ice and snow, i grew up in Mi and somehow survived the long winters with just rear wheel drive... with FWD i can drive just about anywhere with ice and snow just as well as AWD
  21. you need to check out our forum under Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc. and this has been discussed quite a bit with lots of good info on what needs to be done as well, also youtube would be a great place for info as well..........also welcome to the group
  22. %rebel0 is being very correct on the price of 19 inch tires and i have had 2 journeys,, one 2011 with 17 inch tires which i balanced and rotated every 5 k and they were the OEM org kumos lasted for 55 k and still had good tread on them, when i traded in on for my 2014 with 19 inch which i am on my 5 set of tires (Name brand, cooper, and continental) and have 144 k and as well they have been maintained the same as the 17 were........
