  1. i would take it back to your dealership and show them what its doing as i have never had any problem with mine good luck
  2. just google ( vin on dodge journey) i just did and it should about 5 places on ther car most under the hood goog luck
  3. have not tried with a dead battery, and yes i would think it would be covered if your within your 3yr-36 k time limit, but let me ask why are you busting our chops. call the dealership if you dont like our answers or our help. sorry if i am taking your post wrong but as far as i am concerned try to find out yourself with your good key fob take out the battery and then try to start your car then YOU can then report back to us if it is poss. to do ,as i am not worried about it.....
  4. try putting a new battery in the key fob you can buy them from walmart.
  5. in the U.S. at all the dodge dealers you can buy a 2 yr or (4 oil changes) for about $65. and can get it changed at any dodge or chrysler dealership and they service all makes of cars chevy. ford ,for the same price.my daughter takes her chevy tahoe to our local dodge dealer for oil changes . dont know if they offer that up in canada but worth asking about guess it would be for a higher price but that is still a great deal about 16.25 per oil and filter change of course syn oil is extra

    Did it again!!!

kind of off the subject but did i miss something on the electric seat warmers when remotely started they dont kick on till you get in and touch the start button. dont use it much as weather in alabama is not as tough as you all get up north. seems like the drivers seat should start getting warm as soon as you hit the remote start. thanks for any help
  7. well the wife said our car wouldnt start,so went out and jumped it with my truck car started up and had the engine light on so took it down to advance auto and they said it was real low but read good to recharge but they rec. for me to change it, which i was wondering how much longer it was going to last as all my dodge vech. battery seam to die after 3yrs. so i went home jacked it up and removed the left tire and removed the plastic rivits with a screwdriver and pliers no problem then started (cussing dodge out)oh well then you loosen the battery tie down and then the pos. battery cable not to bad to get to,then the neg you have a elctric wire snap to undo and tuck out of the way, then the neg bolt to loosen is not the one you think it is, it is actual the little silver nut that is angling off to the right side of the connection, then tuck all your wires out of your way and i used a small flat bar to lift the battery up and out of the tray then pulled it out. then went inside my houseand to the computer and went to retailmenot.com and clicked on advance auto web site and got a $40. off code the went to advance auto web site and got their best batt $144.99 so tax and all about $110. paid for it then went and picked it up and put back into the car. one other note is the connection on the neg cable make sure you connect back up the connetor before tighting down you neg cable as it will turn tight agaisnt the battery box . also i noticed when i loosened the nuts on my cables they really almost loose and their was a little rust on the postive cable connector so as usual do i cleaned both the post and connectors real good and bought the corrension felt tabs that go on the battery post.also the engine light was gone after i started the car up. Maybe could have got away from changing tha battery after noticing the not real tight connetion but after this far decided to relpace the battery anyway. Not to bad on replacement of battery like any thing else kind of hard the first time 2nd time would be a breeze. sorry about no pics. as i i dont have a smart phone...good luck to others..........
  8. i would assume this repair would be covered under the 5yr 100k powertrain warrenty, not sure but worth asking about...
  9. i would not turn any rotor that you have been having problems wit warpage or shudder, you would only be wasting your time and money by making a bad rotor even thinner. that said had my first brake problem at about 10 k and the dealer turned them and then about 28k started having more shuddering so was able to talk dealer into replaceing fronts pads and rotors as a goodwill gesture. now about 30 k later( 63k usa) not having no shudder or any problems with my brakes also i dont do much in town driving i am thinking i will do my rears pads and fronts again in about march or april waiting on wagner to run their rebate offer about this time of year. since not having any problems front or rear with shudder or any rotor problems will just replace the pads. i know most people say you should turn the rotors when doing a brake job but have done this many times before with no problems.also if you use ceramic pads they WILL cause more heat and makes the rotors heat up alot more and i will not use them i always stick with wagner thermo-quite pads and they last forever for me.
  10. seems like it would make using the remote a little harder to use or might make it go off alot more often, dont really see the need for it , but to each their own. try going to some leather craft shows and get your one of a kind made, good luck,,,
  11. why do people post problems and or questions and never post back what happened or if they got it fixed? guess its easier to complain about something than share what they did to fix their problem or what they found out and how to resolve the problem......
  12. take it to auto zone or advance auto for a free scan
  13. better check the aligment on your town and country if they are wearing on the outside edges faster the the middle...
  14. maybee the Marks front tires were somewhat still good meaning the org owner never rotated his tires also city driving and hard stopping and fast take offs wears the tires out alot faster then normal. which might be true as he also posted about getting bad gas mileage if a different posting.anyways everyone has a different opinion of kumos and as i stated before i got at least 60k out of them and other bloggers have said about the same . so i think its more of how you drive(all city VS a good mix of hwy and city driving) and rotate your tires. happy trails everyone...............
  15. nope not covered under chrysler manufacture warrenty you have to buy coverage thur the tire manufacture, this is the same with all car manufactures, dont know why they would wear out so fast, since you bought it with 10k on it i would suspect the rears use to be on the front and he didnt rotate them untill he sold it to you. i have a2011 mainstreet and my 17 inch kumos lasted to about 60k and i prob could have got another 10k out of them but i wanted to keep good tread on my car.. good luck
  16. well if the R/T is that high think what a used viper would cost think alot of it is getting it shipped and taxes....
  17. i would take it back to the dealer as it should have been there from the factory, they might even fix the paint for you if not i would call the custermer support and go thur them offer to go halfs on the cost as it was dodges fault that the part was missing on that side good luck... also remember be nice and keep any and all paperwork on this problem....
  18. i was in walmart few yrs ago getting tires and the manager came in the room and told the lady her oil was changed in her car and ready to go, she said i wanted the burnt out tail light fixed not an oil change he said oh well no charge on the oil change and then she said my husbeen had just changed their oil and used syn oil what did they put in. he checked and said reg oil but didnt want to redo it with syn for her. she wasnt sure what to say untill i steped up and told her i would be willing to go to small claims court to witness what i had just heard. man that manger couldnt back track fast enough and re did her oil change with syn fixed her tail light with no charge i also stood outside in the garage while they finnished her up and my car. i have never been back to that store. i always watch my car while it is being worked on ,ihad one manager say i couldnt do that so i told him to take it off the rack, of course he let me watch.
  19. i would suspect the remote might have a short but would take it back to dealer and keep all your paperwork from each time they will sooner or later figure it out but untill then keep all your paperwork.. good luck
  20. should have not drained the oil i would of had it towed to the dodge dealer and explained what happened and had him drain the oil and then he would have been your expert witness when you sued the oil change place. as of now its your word against theirs if you have any damage and want to sue them for damages in small clains court. but thats how i would have handled it , hope their is no damage good luck
  21. most parts store in the U.S. ( auto zone, advance auto, amd others) offer free code scans.
  22. i just googled this problem and sounds like you got off cheap on this problem if their was an actual problem that they act fixed and it doesnt come back. have never heard of this one have had clocksprings problems before but only under warrenty and recall notice good luck. damm cars are getting just to dam hard to work pretty soon we really will have muffer bearings going bad on our cars LOL
  23. no filter that i know of, best guess the cold is putting a strain on your pump or maybee a little low on fuild. no problems with mine it was a little low on fuild i filled it up to just below the full mark but we dont get the cold that you all get up north . good luck
  24. for $301.00 ill just have to get use the stock box and just do without the extra gas mileage....
