when posting please inform us of what engine and mileage for your vehicle.. you need to have it scanned for codes that have been created to know what seems to be the problem, any local part stores can scan it for free as well, with out the codes we would just be guessing...welcome to the group as well

Oil filter adapter leak close to the cooler 2009
2late4u replied to brmurph's topic in Engine & Transmission
since it isn't in stock anymore guess your best bet would be a part salvage yard like lkq or such, can the top part removed and then and resealed with thread sealant or such? have you checked with the dealership if they have a exploded diagram of this unit??? -

well i am still waiting on my abs module from the dealership that was supposed to be on backorder till the first of the year, and since it will be covered under my ext. warranty that is why i am on the waitlist, but at my last oil change i noticed some oil collecting at the base of the oil cooler unit so i cleaned it out the best i could and there wasnt a lot just hard to get to and have been keeping an eye on how much it is leaking which isn't much ( i use about 2 cotton balls taped to a skinny stick it and it soaks it up real good so its not leaking bad) i plan on getting it replaced as well when they do the abs unit...that way i will only have to pay one deductible have 138 k on the journey and i do my own oil changes

well after 138 k miles and 9 yrs, i open the hood and my little black cap that covers the oil filter canister has flew the coop.... no big deal its just an unused twist off cap that doesn't do anything so i call the dealership and its a 10 days wait to get it and $18, for the piece, so i got to thinking since i am so cheap ill just take that old plastic polictail sign that i had standing in the corner and cut a round 6 inch circle ,and it fit down in the recessed hole just right and i have it drying with the some black paint right now and then plan on a few drops of silicone around the edge and i can also use 2-3 small finnish screws i have to give it a bit more hold down strength. I have to save that money for the kids inheritance so they can go thur it like a hot knife thur butter....LOL

nope no idea here , But you might want to disconnect the battery cables up top and leave them off for 15 minutes or so then reconnect,,kinda like rebooting your computer,,good luck let us know if it helps

i googled this from your question....... Transmission range sensor ? on 2019 dodge journey.= also you might want to try this on you tube as well Depending on the car in question, the Transmission Range Sensor may often be referred to as the neutral safety switch or PRNDL (Park-Reverse-Neutral-Drive-Low) input and can be found outside the transmission box or on the valve body. -
