welcome to the group ....have you scanned your journey with a good quality scanner?? What causes ESP BAS Light to come on? When your car’s warning light comes on, it means that something is wrong. Illumination of the ESP BAS light indicates a malfunction of the Brake Assist System or Electronic Stability Program. The most common causes why the ESP BAS light comes on are given below: Bad wheel speed sensor Faulty brake switch Bad steering angle sensor Damaged or faulty wiring Bad brake pads and calipers 1) Bad Wheel Speed Sensor................ Following are the most common repairs that can fix the illuminated ESP BAS warning light: Replace wheel speed sensor Replace steering angle sensor Repair brakes Recalibrate the steering angle sensor Install new brake switch sensor Fix wiring issues Reprogram or replace the PCM

Need Advice - Sound coming from rear wheel
2late4u replied to tdottrucker's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
put the journey on a lift and then check each rear wheel as you spin it for some noise or binding ..wheel bearings can sound different to a lot of people ,,,my daughters caravan 3 of the wheel bearing was replaced but then she started getting a bad noise and most everyone said it was her rear diff going out...OUCH well ended up putting it into the dealership and they said nope it was the rear wheel bearing had gone bad, a lot cheaper fix...and also 2 other mechanics when i asked them about the last wheel bearing if it was the problem and they checked it and said no its not the problem.... BUT once on the lift have them check the noise if coming from your flex coupling is what it think its called since you have awd -
2015 Journey no power at all. Zero.
2late4u replied to nes593's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
i have NEVER used a dealer battery in either of my 2 journeys ,,,2011 and now 2014....just use a good quality battery correct CCA size and group size, and have never had a problem with them..clean terminals and tight as hell and then spray with battery post protection against corrosion -
PLUS have it scanned for codes as well free at most part stores

Front driver side brake sticking
2late4u replied to Nil Skrzypczak's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
have read where rust will build up under the bracket that holds the rubber brake line going to the caliper and can put enough pressure to reduce the brake fluid,,,also has the caliper slide pins been cleaned greased ,as well as the brackets that hold the brake pads in the caliper been cleaned and greased as well -

ECM short causes no-start
2late4u replied to 09withmindofown's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
might just want to remove the connector and see if there is any Corrosion on the pins or see what might be the problem,,if you called the company that you are talking about to see if it is truly plug and play?- 7 replies

2late4u replied to 5rebel9's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension

Yup, Another low speed front end clunk.
2late4u replied to 5rebel9's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
the clunks or knocks i have heard sounded kind of like a problem i had with my 2009 caravan which i found out was the sway bar on one side had worked the bushing out of the clamp probally wasnt tightened at the factory to begin with, but that clunk was a lot louder than what i hear from inside my 2014 sounds like something is loose just a bit, but i checked it all over and never found anything never did complain to the dealership as it seemed to be a non fixable noise from what had been discussed here on the forum... NOW as far as squeeks if you are hearing them, i was able to find and fix that noise there are 2 round body rubber bushings one on each side just behind the front wheels and you dont even have to jack your journey up i used some silicon from amazon and sprayed them real good and that worked for a few months and then heard a few squeaks so i sprayed them again, after that time i havent heard any more squeaks for over a yr now DuPont Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant Aerosol, 10 oz 4.5 out of 5 stars 5,373 $7.99$7.99 ($0.80/Ounce) FREE delivery Thu, Oct 27 on $25 of items shipped by Amazon Or fastest delivery Tue, Oct 25 ) -

nope it is the strut bearing mount, at least that has what has been told for the last 8 yrs, my 2014 makes it as well kind of irritating but have got used to it,,has been discussed to death on the forum,,,surprised you havent read about it...i dont remember it happening on my 2011 main street -
sounds like you got a deal on a journey with a lot of problems,as far as the ac that is probally a blend door actuator problem check out youtube for more info on thoes i believe there are 3 of them drivers passenger and one in the middle...as far as the rest for others to comment on...good luck and welcome to the group
-
