  1. just time for a new battery make sure cables are clean and tight also apply some corrosion spray on the post and cables before you close it up
  2. No its not the cvt transmission when we were looking for her a car i made sure she didnt get anything with the cvt, hers is the 6 speed 4 wheel drive model , one of her friends bought the same yr patriot with the cvt trans and she already had it replaced... i do the maintenance every 30 k on the plugs and whenever she needs brake pads,,,we also had the dealership do the tranny service on it at around 80 k i believe they said there is no filter in there they can change unless you remove the trans they said they do offer an aftermarket filter that mounts outside the transmission case but the daughter didnt want to spend the $$ on it,as she has already ordered a new right hand jeep but they said it will take about 6 months to get it
  3. hate to ask but what was the before mpg ? i would assume that is all city driving with a lot of stop and go?
  4. sounds like a trip to a transmission shop is in your future
  5. my daughter has the 2.4 in her 2016 jeep patriot that she uses on her rural mail route, it has 125 k stop and go miles on it and still going strong, she has replaced all the wheel bearings at least once and 1 oxg sensor 1 set of brake pads all the way around and many ,many ,sets of tires...LOL
  6. why not ask your local jeep dealership for the specs on both the wheels ,would be the best place for the correct answer
  7. what i posted was the price of a complete remote start kit not just the fobs,,,,,as i have heard only new fobs can be programed once and used fobs cannot be programed ,also needs to be done correctly...my advice would be go to the dealership as it looks like you are just throwing $$ at the problem,,,one question was your original fob have the remote start button on it as the is an upgrade over reg fobs that require extra equipment and programing

  10. try some junk yards/Auto salvages yards
  11. you might want to remove the bluetooth fuse as that has seemed to be problems for some journeys owners along with the glove box light coming on even tho the glove box door is latched

  13. if i remember correctly from past post, since you have installed led into your high beam your drl will stay on full high beam when ever you are driving.weather day or night. the load res wont stop that from happening they only help stop the flickering on the led lights... at least this is what we has been reported here in the past....

  16. better late than never,,,, welcome to the group
  17. Well it is 2 yrs old first i would get it load checked and also have the alt checked to make sure it is producing what it should, (BETTER to know it is good than to think it is good)then i would take the time to remove the cables off the battery and clean then and the post real good and then reattach them tight and then also spray some corrosion spray to the terminals and then go from there, also check the grounds up at the jump terminals to make sure they are clean and tight also the starter and frame as well. all this is free and just makes good sense take some steps, before chasing other thoughts as to what is happening
  18. well you could remove the window control panel from the door and test to see if you got power to the switch ,I would guess the motor for the window has went bad, the wires going thur the door frame to the door in the the rubber boot are know to be a problem area for broken or frayed wires that might be a problem.,,,good luck and welcome to the group
  19. i hope you try to get a refund on the defective unit....
  20. TrueDrive 2014 Dodge Journey - Wheel Hub and Bearing - Front, Driver or Passenger Side, AWD/FWD +5 Hover over main image to zoom $61.99
  21. actually the tone ring is built onto the cv axle at on all i have ever seen as it spins around ,the abs wire sensor pickup sends the signal to the computer. i am sure that is how it has on journeys as well, that said your wheel bearing as well could be going bad and that as well can cause a wheel speed sensor to show as bad depending on how many miles you have on your journey.....here is a link showing replacing a tone ring,,( i didnt even know it could be replaced but for the trouble and cpost a new cv axle would be the quicker and easier solution as well)
  22. yes when you google your 2013 journey 3.6 oil filter it will bring up pictures of this design 2011-1013
