  1. that part that broke was probally the battery temperature sensor and that will keep a car from running...is this the part that was broken on amazon....Battery Sensor Compatible with 2011-2021 Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Replaces# 4692269AI Battery Temperature Sensor
  2. best to go with OEM mopar part, my dad yrs ago bought an alt from a local auto part store and had it installed on his caravan and kept having problems with it and the mechanic changed it out several times with a replacement from the store, and finally took it into the dealership and they told him on the engine and yr he really needed to go with a mopar alt ,so he said do it and got his money back on the auto part store one and he never had any other problem with that van or the alt.
  3. here in the states we tend to forget how expensive things are in other regions of the world, we bitch about a $20 delivery charge if we get charged that
  4. `i wasnt trying to be uppity, I just was saying with cars getting so expensive and complex that is why i purchased the warranty, i still like to work on my vehicles but most repairs are getting past my ability or ambitions..
  5. well since its a MOTOR mount bracket only have a few spots it can go
  6. glad i bought the mopar max lifetime warranty
  7. https://www.mymoparparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-engine-mount-bracket-68084049aa picture,, and cost of a new one
  8. check the battery FIRST before throwing money and labor at something you are NOT sure of... also have them check your alt while they are load testing your battery save yourself some aggravation.....good luck
  9. depends on the size where the battery is located is what matters, you can go with the new AGM batteries BUT they will cost you more than the older cell batteries would..
  10. why are you only filling it up to half full? if not wanting to spend the money to fix it just go by your mileage as a gage to determine when needing gas, 20 gals times what ever your average mpg is would be easy to keep track of till you get it fixed....avg price in the states is around $160 for the unit plus install, if that is the problem
  11. also just have someone with a different obd to see if theirs works?
  12. 2 quarts of the wrong trans fluid and a bottle of stop leak,,,yep you NEED to take it to someone that knows transmissions, be prepared for a big bill as well
  13. welcome to the group, 2 places for likey broken wires you found one of them and the other places is at the rubber boot between the drivers door by the hinge, glad you were able to fix it right, most repair places only do what they have to do to get it back out the door,,,take care and hope you have many yrs of driving
  14. why not just return it to the place you bought it from or contact the manufacturer for help on getting it to work,I doubt there is anything wrong on the journeys side of thee equation..also buy cheap obd and they only can check the basic problems from what i have read...good luck on whatever you find out
  15. just a thought you did use the tool to ROTATE the rear caliper piston back in instead of using a c clamp like it is done on the front caliper piston?????
  16. he shows how install the pads at a 45 degree angle clearly,,, unlike most other videos dont show or mention

    tires

great sale on tires with Discount tires till 11-27 just bought a set of Michelin for the grandsons car got 4 Defender t&h 215 55 17 80 k with road hazard warranty and free shipping and tax for $ 603 having them shipped to my house till we take them down next month to get them mounted and balanced at the local discount tire shop, that will cost about $20 a tire so around $703 for the complete set, i had checked around town at 2-3 othe tire shops and they wanted over $1000 for the complete job i really like using discount tire, they run great sales during the holidays and also using their credit card saved an extra $80 off as well check them out they are a great tire store
  18. I had changed out the OEM pads at 70 k at all 4 corners, the front pads didnt even look half wore out but I had already bought some Wagner Thermoquiet pads, so put them on and kept the old pads in the cupboard, fast forward so now at 120 k and i wasnt really happy with the Wagner pads I had been using them all my life, but was getting a lot of dust from them and also used them on my daughters jeep that she uses on her mail route and for whatever reason they dont seem to be holding up as good as they use to, so i ordered some Akebono pads and pulled the rotors and with 120 k looked liked they needed to be turned or replaced ,I wasnt having no problems with them but decided to take them down to the shop and they checked them and said yes they could turn them but would be at the min after being turned ( i had never had them turned before so was kind of surprised he said they were at the minimum after turning them)so i said okay ,probally should have bought some new ones but being cheap i didnt, well got them back and put on the journey and thought i'd compare the old OEM pads with the new ones and dam they looked same thickness as the new pads so I put on the new brake clips and reinstalled the old OEM pads and took it for a drive and everything is great ready for another 60-70 k i would assume, the journey seems to be braking a bit better and seems to be a bit smoother as well, of course i really didnt feel much vibrations before the brake job ,,,,one word of advice is to watch a youtube video as getting the new pads into position there is a trick when installing the pads into the caliper is to angle it in at a 45 degree into the brake clips, so you dont damage the brake clips...i was having a bit of a problem till i remembered that there was that trick to get the pads in the right way....
  19. I hate it when you are watching a youtube video and they are talking and you have the volume turned up so you can hear them good, and then they turn on the music so loud it will blast you out of your chair
  20. had a 72 nova 350 3 spd and during the winter time a huge piece of ice from the road hit it and was causing a bad noise also a scraping sound back then dealership just took it off and hit it with a hammer and then put it back on,,,ah the old days when things were simple dont know if a flex plate is the same thing as the inspection plate or cover that was damaged on mine
  21. i dont believe he was being HARSH, as we can only guess what has happened and what you are talking about, he is spot on the 2 first problems with broken wires in thoes 2 different spots and offers advice on the last one, you probally need to have it looked at by a good garage that specialises on electrical problems or by the dealership but they will be higher priced but will probally have a better chance on fixing these problems for you, good luck and please report back on whatever you find out to be the problem in case others come up with a problem you are facing...
  22. so did they replace them? or did you just pay them for a diagnostic fee and did the repair yourself?
  23. a bit more info might help....eng 2.4 or 3.6 ?,,,,miles on engine? did this start all of a sudden? what is condition of the oil? if you are handy try removing the serpentine belt and start the journey for a brief minute to see if noise goes away/
