Air synced and set to cool but hot coming out on passenger side
2late4u replied to pzookey's topic in Climate Control
since you just replaced the alt i assume you disconnected the battery cable and then this new problem started up i would remove the positive battery cable at the top post and let it set for a while and then reconnect ,kind of like rebooting your computer and hopefully might rest or fix the problem....good luck -
also check the connectors on the fan wiring for a bad connection or shorted wires, yrs ago my daughter had a dodge car and was overheating and the cause ended up being a bad connection from the wire connector going to the fan thus letting it to sometimes work and then not work (was melting/shorting out on the inside of the connector we hard wired it back together and all was fine
-
i would be suspect the fan to see if it is coming on correctly ,,,and also you say it is loud that right there is enough to check it out before replacing any more repetitive parts like you are doing now

people can find out anything on youtube these days and how to fix it,i am surprised so many dont check that first, i watch fix it angel and South main auto repair the most just interesting to see them do the repairs...man if we would have had youtube 23 yrs ago it would have been great
-
thanks Summer for pointing that out to them, i wasnt that clear on how loud it should be, i did yrs ago replaced a blower motor on a caravan i had and after replacing it, it would click fairly loud for about 5 seconds or so but it was such a pain in ass to put in and i said to hell with it , i could live with the clicking noise once a day, surprisingly it never tore up and worked fine till i gave it to my granddaughter and she never had any problems with it as well

LOL i guess all the journeys with this problem isn't a safety hazard.............................(The Hill) – Tesla has recalled nearly 500,000 U.S.-based vehicles due to safety concerns. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Wednesday, Tesla said it plans to recall 356,309 Model 3 vehicles made between 2017 and 2020 over concerns that the car’s rearview camera cable harness may be damaged by the opening and closing of the trunk, which the company said could prevent the rearview camera image from displaying.

as mentioned above replace the thermostat as it is real easy on the 3.6 and ues the rng temp should read 185 at least after being warmed up,,,,dont forget to bleed the air as well after replacement. if you are still not getting enough heat from the heater could be the heater core getting plugged up as well check out youtube for the quick and easy way to replace the heater core

Odd issue with no charge on cold start
2late4u replied to pzookey's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
best to go with OEM mopar part, my dad yrs ago bought an alt from a local auto part store and had it installed on his caravan and kept having problems with it and the mechanic changed it out several times with a replacement from the store, and finally took it into the dealership and they told him on the engine and yr he really needed to go with a mopar alt ,so he said do it and got his money back on the auto part store one and he never had any other problem with that van or the alt. -
here in the states we tend to forget how expensive things are in other regions of the world, we bitch about a $20 delivery charge if we get charged that
-
`i wasnt trying to be uppity, I just was saying with cars getting so expensive and complex that is why i purchased the warranty, i still like to work on my vehicles but most repairs are getting past my ability or ambitions..

check the battery FIRST before throwing money and labor at something you are NOT sure of... also have them check your alt while they are load testing your battery save yourself some aggravation.....good luck

Battery replacement in 2012 DJ RT
2late4u replied to mamallama's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
depends on the size where the battery is located is what matters, you can go with the new AGM batteries BUT they will cost you more than the older cell batteries would..- 7 replies

why are you only filling it up to half full? if not wanting to spend the money to fix it just go by your mileage as a gage to determine when needing gas, 20 gals times what ever your average mpg is would be easy to keep track of till you get it fixed....avg price in the states is around $160 for the unit plus install, if that is the problem
-
also just have someone with a different obd to see if theirs works?

2 quarts of the wrong trans fluid and a bottle of stop leak,,,yep you NEED to take it to someone that knows transmissions, be prepared for a big bill as well

Liftgate Electrical Issues
2late4u replied to Matthew Brown's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
welcome to the group, 2 places for likey broken wires you found one of them and the other places is at the rubber boot between the drivers door by the hinge, glad you were able to fix it right, most repair places only do what they have to do to get it back out the door,,,take care and hope you have many yrs of driving -
why not just return it to the place you bought it from or contact the manufacturer for help on getting it to work,I doubt there is anything wrong on the journeys side of thee equation..also buy cheap obd and they only can check the basic problems from what i have read...good luck on whatever you find out

just a thought you did use the tool to ROTATE the rear caliper piston back in instead of using a c clamp like it is done on the front caliper piston?????
