might be the rims, my new 2014 had a vibration as well i kept moving the wheels around till i finally narrowed it down to 2 of them and then took into the dealership and told them either the tires are bad or maybe a rim,,,it was actual a rim that wasnt right they replaced one of the rims they thought was bad and no more problems,,,,also just to be sure they didnt try to play a fast one i marked both of the rims in a certain way and place so they couldn't say ya we found a bad one and we re[placed it lie.....

so why did you remove it? where was the location of said button would help....LOL

Bearing noise? Only on Rt hand turn 2012 Journey R/T
2late4u replied to BULLSNBRONCS's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
did you replace the rear passenger side wheel bearing as well? -
man you sure have went thur a lot it looks like,,,WTH are you going to be towing? i installed the curt hitch myself and also installed the curt led wire kit ( stayed with the 4 wire flat connector myself) later on my 2014 crossroad, took about 2 hrs for this old man

just asking were the nut already installed or did they have to put them in?
-
use to use that method as well, but sometimes you can actually over tighten them , broke down and bought a torque wrench, and as said always tighten opposite lug nut til tight then go around in a circle just to make sure you didnt miss one using the torque wrench...also just a bit of advice go to harbor freight and buy a 24 inch breaker bar and a 19 metric deep socket,,, makes loosening the lug nuts so easy

google might bring that up, but i have just always torque mine to 100 lbs never had one fall off yet....2011 and now my 2014 oem wheels

Intermittent Starting Dodge Journey 2010
2late4u replied to nlj's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
has been discussed here quite a bit,,, look thur the forum ,,,Electrical, Battery & Charging there is No easy answer for this ,some have found odd reasons and solutions, best to take it to a shop that specialists on electrical problems also keep a list of when and what has been done so you wont get ripped off changing a part (battery )3 times...good luck -
welcome to the group. hope you got a hell of a deal on it?only time ive ever been in a limp home mode was a caravan and it was due to a transmission senor gone bad some codes you need a special code reader,,,first off if you are not sure of the maintenance on it, i would put in some new plugs, might help, then get some one that can read the codes and can do the repairs if you cant do it,,,good luck

hard to understand but clearly shows n how to bleed the air but dont remove the screw compleatly like he did.........
-
Zackr125 as stated above by ( 5rebel9 ) did you bleed the air out of the system after you replaced the thermostat,,,, easy to do google that on you tube as well
-
think the 3.6 has only one thermostat the 2.4 is the one with 2 of them
-
first thing DONT drive it with it being low on fluid even for a short drive and it not getting hot as YOU will damage your engine,,,sounds like you have blockage in the radiator as it will empty to the res but not let it return to the radiator as it should, could be as simple as a bad hose, clamps that might be partially loose, faulty rad cap or as bad as a bad head gasket,,,google or go to you tube for info on your problem , have you done a pressure check on the radiator,, be careful of overheating your engine while trying to fix this, might be cheaper to have it fixed by your local mechanic as they have all the tools and gauges if you dont ....good luck and please report back on what you find your trouble is

yes ask them to do a load test, and also have them check the alternator to see if it is putting out enough voltage as well ............but if your battery is more than 3 yrs old replace it and your problems, most likely will be gone,,,,,,,DO YOU KNOW HOW OLD IT IS????????? also if you keep blowing a certain fuse then yes you have a problem and if you are not sure what to do except buy new parts, i would recommend taking it to a shop that does electrical work -

might seem to simple but how old is YOUR battery and have it checked, since you couldn't jump his truck...i would def.get the battery checked or replaced before laying out any more money on this problems journeys act crazy with a low charged battery...good luck and hope its just the battery -

2late4u replied to Salah-Belkhodja Abdeslem's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
actually are you sure its a 2006 as i thought they first came out in 2008 ????? 2008 - 2011 Dodge introduced the Journey for the European market in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and tried to make a good impression for its new customers. While the MPV segment started to shrink, Dodge offered something bolder: a crossover MPV able to accommodate up to seven people and take them on long trips. ............ depends on if YOU want to keep it going and willing to spend the money,,,,first off you dont give us a location on where you live and that would give us your availability of parts either new or from a salvage yard and of course a local garage with mechanics who charge less than the local dealership would...that said 2006 yes you would probally be putting more than what the car would be worth in the U.S. but also if thats all that is wrong with it ,might be better than going out to buy something else that you dont have no idea on what condition it is in? up to you looks nice ,keep us informed on what you decide. -
Any used car CAN be a lemon, but yes journeys seem to have a bit more of a problem if you read this blog BUT as we all know you always here the complainers but hardly ever the ones with no problems. Myself i really like my 2 journeys ive have had and with only a couple of small problems i would buy another one if they were still making them,,, a lot cheaper than other so called better quality vechiles but with a cheaper price you have room for repairs if you have any,,,funny thing all Toyota and other high cost vehicles have repair centers as well
-
only time my CC wouldn't work was when i had a bad wheel sensor, of course the other lights (abs) had come on as well, i am sure there is a fuse for it, could be a switch or part malfunction, hard to tell, good luck and hope someone chimes in for your problem
-
the five seat has them for the rear not sure what you are referring to, also have the huge floor back storage area as well
-
since she hasn't reported results i would assume everything worked out in her favor, would have been nice to hear back from her tho
-
dont believe the come with remote lift-gate,,,that said all vech have their share of lemons,,i had a 2011 traded in with 70 k for my 2014 crossroad 118 k as of now and love driving my journey,,,have had a couple of small problems with them that the warranty took care of. i also purchased the mopar max warranty as well on the last one just so i can run the wheels off it.good luck on what ever you buy
