In agreement with OhareFred on this one.....my 2011 didnt have the OEM rear cam from the factory, i i checked with several dealership and they said it couldn't add the oem BUT they could add one that the rear view mirror would show the image instead of my 8.4 in dash screen, but it wasnt an oem, i waited another year and then the oem became available so then i had it installed
-
in the fuse box either the one under the hood or the other one under the glove box ,,just disconnect the negative cable under the hood and wait around 5-10 minutes then reconnect might help never know till you try
-
the camera is by the high third brake light and the image is in the rear view mirror ?. Any suggestions ?. so i assume by this comment t is NOT an OEM system that has been installed on your journey? my oem back up camera on my journey would occasionally do the invert but would always revert back to normal after a few seconds and sometimes just wouldn't work when it finally quit they said it was thew camera and lens in the rear hatch that went bad.... good luck on what you find out also who removed the antenna and then reattached it? if it was just a oil change?
-
by the way,,,, welcome to the group
-
great you found your problem, i have 2014 and had rear back up camera problems and i checked there but my wires looked great ended up being the actual camera in the hatch,,,just wondering tho did you cut the rubber grommet off around the wires or just switch it down far enough do do your repair

2014 JD - Replace original brakes after 125K
2late4u replied to DodgeaWrench's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
lol back when my 2014 had 70 k on it i ordered front and rear pads (thermoquiet from Wagner) went to change them and hell the fronts only looked half wore out but thought oh well change them out anyways, did all four corners well well thought id check them today, have close to 120 k so about 50 k on this set,,,still looking like over 50 % of pad left and rotors are still looking great as well no shudder or pulsations on the brake pedal as well , so I wont worry about them till around 150-160- k i guess,,,one note tho i havent really liked these Wagner ( seams like a lot of dust off them I think they have cheapened them up from yrs ago, I wouldn't buy them again just go with OEM or Akebona which are supposedly who makes the OEM pads. -
just thought i would post this as looks like the easiest replacement i have ever seen on an engine at least it is a better area better than the battery LOL,,,,not sure about draining the coolant onto the belt tho

looks like the 3.6 thermostat comes as a 1 pc unit with the 203 thermostats already built into it , Not sure someone could add in a lower temp one as well but i have no experience replacing one on this motor...looks like it would be easy to change out as well

Rear tapered shims to correct alignment?
2late4u replied to phoenix1151's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
dont forget you will need a 4 wheel alignment as well, had a 2011 never had a problem but my 2014 i seem to have a problem with it staying in alignment so much so while i was getting the new rear control arms installed at quick lane tire store they are associated or owned by ford motors dealerships, i bought a lifetime policy on my journey cost me around 180 at the time but at 90 a pop for a 4 wheel alignment i have already saved myself a ton of $$ every tire rotation i have it checked sometimes it is okay and sometimes they said it was a bit out but they always take care of me -
as mentioned above you should not have to use any additives for your journey to run correctly, it could be any of the above comments that is making it run a bit hotter , as said have them check to make sure all the air has been bleed out of the whole system.good luck and report back what you find.....PS is the place that replaced your rad and other parts a regular shop or rad shop? i would be having them recheck everything as they did the job and should have the knowledge on what is wrong

led turn signal lights not working
2late4u replied to santos's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
also a lot of led bulbs are made different and as cheap as they can, on the front remove the bulbs and rotate them making sure the connector is the same as your old bulb and that it is making a good connection and then reinsert back into the socket -
led turn signal lights not working
2late4u replied to santos's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
not sure why the fronts are not working, contact the place you bought them from for best advise on them, and for the rear you will need to add a load resistor this is from amazon or can be bought from most part stores but will cost more than amazon also i just copied this so not sure of their quality. also you will need them for the front as well on any light socket you use for turn signals only.... led draws/uses less power so when being used on turn signals thus the hyper flash.....4PCS ARTR 50W 6ohm Load Resistors - Fix LED Bulb Fast Hyper Flash Turn Signal Blink Error Code(Resistor gets very hot during working) -
guess RayRay needs to have this journey towed to a Qualified garage to figure out the problem as trying to help over the internet is NOT going anywhere with this poster...good luck on getting it fixed

that sounds better, as far as the heat range check out you tube for videos on how to bleed the air it is real easy just a simple screwdriver is used from the top of the engine by your oil filter, i would try to bleed it just to be sure also have your heat turned on in the cabin when doing it ass well, report back on what you find out and good luck

well if the battery is the oem them yes you need a new one, i have a 2014 and already changed mine out 3 times once when my Daughter need one and mine was 2 yrs old i gave her my old one, i usually replace mine every 3-4 yrs just to be safe and not have a problem in the cold rain or on a trip since it is in such a hard place to get....just makes sense -
Issues after trans solenoid pack replacement.
2late4u replied to TheHammer85's topic in Engine & Transmission
yes your right the jeep uses a different transmission that doesn't have a replaceable filter without tearing it apart, but the journeys do have one which only makes sense, guess they think they will make more $$ off it i guess -
Issues after trans solenoid pack replacement.
2late4u replied to TheHammer85's topic in Engine & Transmission
actually i dont think the the 2,4 trans has a filter as on my daughters jeep 2.4 the dealership said the filter is not replaceable without dissembling the transmission they just replace the fluid -
Issues after trans solenoid pack replacement.
2late4u replied to TheHammer85's topic in Engine & Transmission
still no mention of miles ,but doing a flush like posted before was the worst thing you can do to a non maintained trans, have always herd that will make the trans go bad quicker due to all the new fluid , have a feeling a rebuilt trans is in your future -
i grew up about 20 miles from Woodward Ave... almost every fri or sat night we were cruising it and racing from stop light to stop light, trying to not get caught from the cops.. LOL what a way to grow up and also going over to Windsor Canada for a quick bite to eat and and hit all the nudie clubs that would let us in,,,,,,wouldn't get home till around 4-5 am.....had a good friend that his neighbor father was an engineer and worked at Chrysler and he was always bringing home sleeper cars that they would build but look like and old ladies car and he would always be going down to Woodward and race and and show it off to the local car racers to get their opinion on what Chrysler had going for street racing

sounds like you need to find a qualified mech to fix this problem as your reg mech really doesn't seem to know anything about AC work and as from the questions you are asking us here on the blog indicates you are not applicable as well to find the problem ...not being mean its just AC work requires special tools and equipment and the know how to use it as well, also it can get real expensive real quick as well this NOT something that can be diagnostic over the internet,,,ask around of your friends for dealerships or shops that specialize in ac work as well....good luck and report back on what you find out
