  1. looks good but i also liked the chrome look as well
  2. welcome to the group, glad it worked out on the repairs with the warranty, i had a 2011 main street traded it in at 70 k on my 2014 crossroad only problem i had on my 2011 was the undersized brake rotors so be aware of that with yours have 118 k on my crossroad but with this one i bought the lifetime warranty on it ,only had to use it 2 times so far and nothing serious...anyways make sure you do your sch maintenance on it and it should treat you right
  3. hmm, hate to say but it might be easier just to get a girlfriend with a newer car...LOL just kidding
  4. welcome to the group sounds like you are a real organised person,, hope everything works out for you...all this lined up looks like a great weekend to get it done
  5. yes everything is fine ,yes there was a mix up, they corrected the problem gave us free install, every time my daughter has had a flat or ruined tire they have went out of there way to get her back on the road even working after closing time to do it once, they are such a great company to do business with, i dont have a cosco membership so i cant comment on their service, but discount tire has went over and beyond for our tire needs,,, and as far as time wasted was only when the tires had too be remounted ....as i said she got her Michelin defender th tires with an 85 k mile warranty mounted and balanced out the door for a total of 109. per tire i would bet cosco would not have matched that price
  6. this code shouldn't be the reason the journey is not starting, but here is some info
  7. so how old is the battery? journeys like a good battery, just because the radio will work or the lights come on doesn't mean its good enough to start it,also after you get it fixed MAKE sure your alternator is checked to make sure it is putting out enough to keep the battery going...good luck P .S. i have a 2014 as well and i already replaced mine at least twice already..i live in AL and heat can be hard on batteries as well
  8. hate to ask this so dont get mad but just to be sure you didnt tap into the turn signal light did you by mistake ,,,also i had a 2011 traded it in with 70 k and have a 2014 now with 118 k with just a oil sender repair and some upper rear trailing link/control arm that i had changed out for alignment problems i went with the aftermarket ones that are adj the oem are non-adj i am going to run the wheels off this one...LOL..........P.S,. just a thought you could just hook it up to your power outlet and then put a switch in between to use a get around not ideal but since you said it works that way might save a bit of $$ instead of buying something else sometimes i wish i had a switch to turn my rear cam on all the time
  9. guess ive havent seen anything of the rear heat control actually showing on the info screen?what is it showing?also my daughter never says anything about noises and problems with her patriot it almost comes to a breakdown or i notice it...KIDS LOL
  10. welcome to the group, that said had mine installed thur the dealership, can you contact the company that made your unit for help? i assume when you say reverse position you are talking about your reverse back up lights...correct. good luck
  11. well after getting everything settled and also getting the free install on the tires and rec my credit back on my card for the free install $498 minus a 60 rebate for using their credit card drops them to $438 divided by 4= $ 109.5 total each tire on Michelin defender 85 k with full warranty of the life of the tires....cant beat that price at any other store.....lol I did have a mix up at the tire discount store when i told them i had bought tires off the online store and wanted them to mount and balance them i waited a bit and they said got you all done,I went out and looked at them and thought they dont look right but started to get in the jeep and all 4 tires are still in the back WTF,,, so i go back inside and tell them hey just want to be honest but you all used your tires and not the ones i bought off the internet, the manger said oh hell so sorry about that and pulled the jeep back in and got the correct tires installed and was apologizing a whole lot, took another 20 minutes...kind of surprised they didnt offer something for my delay but everything had been paid for or given and i didnt want to ask them to do anything else as they are usually a great efficient store in Madison AL
  12. I agree with 5rbel9 on the nutserts should be there...when you say ( Reason been missing screw holes on headliner. ) what are you saying they dont want to cut the holes or what...... as mentioned above anyone that does headliners should be able to help you ,and as i asked before are you trying to use oem handles from the dodge dealership or after market ones,,,also the dealership should be able to help you as they know what needs to be done of course they cost more BUT it would be done right
  13. check out you tube for many more videos as well
  14. maybe a local auto body shop could offer you some help of course they would want to be paid, that said what have you done since buying the handle also was it oem? or aftermarket if so maybe they can offer some help as well, they usually are nut inserts welded in or can use a tool to use a nut insert that is pressed into the holes, you may have to drill the holes if they are not there...good luck
  15. first off find a different mechanic,or at least get a second opinion, the clicking noise is your blend door actuator resetting once they get power which is when you open your doors or resetting after you turn off the car and you get out it should stop after shutting off your car just sit in there for a 1 minutes without touching anything,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,......from google........ How do I know if my blend door actuator is bad? When you start the car, or just the AC system, and notice a knocking sound like someone tapping on your door, that is indicative of a problem with the blend door actuator. Inconsistent Airflow: If the blend door is moving back and forth, then the airflow will be diverted incorrectly or maintained incorrectly.
  16. What are the causes of the P2099 code? Some potential causes of this trouble code may include: The mass air flow sensor could be malfunctioning The mass air flow sensor’s circuitry could be damaged The air inlet tubing connected to the intake manifold could have a vacuum leak allowing unmetered air to enter the engine The oxygen sensor(s) or circuitry could be damaged Anything that could cause a rich condition, such as a faulty fuel pressure regulator or manifold absolute pressure sensor The powertrain control module could be malfunctioning Replace/Repair These Parts To Fix OBD Code P2097 Fuel Pressure Regulator – A fuel pressure regulator is a device used to control the pressure of fuel supplied to the fuel injectors on an engine, even during dramatic changes in fuel demand. Controlling this pressure is needed so that the fuel injectors can receive and dispense fuel at a known rate. So, it is important to replace faulty regulator now! Mass Air Flow Sensor - A faulty mass airflow sensor will cause problems similar to low compression or low vacuum, and will also show symptoms similar to when your vehicle has low fuel pressure from a faulty fuel pump. Thus, replace damaged/faulty MAF sensor today! Electronic Control Unit – ECU monitors the temperature differences in the boost converter with the help of the temperature sensors to prevent the converter from overheating and malfunctioning. Thus, replace faulty ECU immediately. Oxygen Sensor – The O2 sensor can also be at fault leading to lean or rich engine conditions and thus affecting the engine performance and improper fuel consumption. Buy new sensor and replace the faulty one now! Engine Control Module - ECM failures and faults can be very difficult to find and resolve as these are very rare and might require a complete reprogramming of the system to avoid wrong codes from getting stored in the system, leading to misdiagnosis. Replace it now! Exhaust System Parts – Are you seeing this error code flashing? Well, it could be due to malfunctioning exhaust system parts. In addition to this error code, the driver is likely to experience a noisy engine, decrease in power and acceleration. We strongly recommend you to purchase new exhaust system parts from Parts Avatar. Powertrain Control Module - Faulty PCM can disrupt the normal functioning of the vehicle by affecting the transmission system and the fuel delivery system. This will cause the system to store wrong OBD error and thus can lead to misdiagnosis. Diagnostic Tool - In order to be that DIY guy, you need few diagnostic tools to get your car problems pointed out easily. Our diagnostic tools collection will come in handy to do so, so why not have a look?
  17. so did it work fine and no problems after the trip to the dealership or was it still not shifting right and then you cleaned the tpmi/pdc module and has it stayed working fine after that
  18. i am NOT a mechanic but over the yrs have had several ac units fixed on cars and usually when a system has been run out of Freon they always replace the dryer unit ,and then they will find the leak, fix it then pull a vacuum to remove any air and also to verify the system is sealed then they had the Freon to the system, most of the times a leak is at the o rings or hoses..good luck it can get expensive
  19. was the dryer replaced when you had the Freon added ? also did they pull a vacuum on it or just added the Freon.? and ya find and fix the leak
  20. wow thats high, of course its been a couple of yrs for mine, i worked for Chrysler here in al and i always bought dodge vans or trucks and the bans at around 90 k would start leaking trans fluid thur a seal and they said to fix that would cost almost as much as a rebuild almost minus parts, i would just fix it them give it to the kids or sell it cheap to other relatives,,,,where are you located just wondering?
  21. it is a 4 speed BUT go to your dealership with your VIN# to get the correct info before checking for a used trans, now not sure how much a used one goes for and also rolling the dice on it, i know the last 4 spd in my caravan only cost me 1200-1300 for it to be rebuilt (about 2-3 yrs ago),,, with a 2015 i would lean towards the rebuild from a reliable garage vs a used crap shoot...but that is up to you...good luck on what ever you decide
  22. well I didnt see no mention of miles but on a 2012 dark fluid, and then a flush, only good thing i can point out at least a trans job on the old 4 spd isn't that bad, the last one on a caravan 4 spd was around $1300...have you taken to a transmission shop to see what they think is wrong with it? like 5reble9 mentioned maybe changing the filter and new fluid might help try that before replacing anything else..... i mean changing ecu and throwing other parts to it is going to get expensive, might as well get it redone if you think the journey is worth it,,,,,good luck and report back on what you find out
  23. well it sure didnt come from the factory with an inline fuse, why not follow where the wire goes to?is the fuse blown as well?
  24. well I rec 2 of my tires ordered, only problem is one is a 215 65 16 and the other is a 235 50 18 (the wrong one) and didnt rec the other 2 tires,so i called Scott at discount tire online and he did some checking and came back and was apologizing a lot and said he had the other 3 tires sent out today, and said he didnt know how it happened and then kept apologizing some more, and i said well i wasnt to happy about all this happening, but not a big deal as my daughter didnt need the tries right away and as we already had the warranty and they are giving us free install and balancing i really couldn't complain to much, he said just leave the wrong tire outside tomorrow and fed x will pick it up. and the only reason we buy the warranty is since my daughter is using her vehicle to delver the mail she had to have 3 of the last tries replaced due to nails and screws ruining them on this last set, her last set of tires were continental tires and they lasted her a whole yr, which in postal use is a long time///LOL
