  1. hate bring this up but i would be ready to replace the heater core esp since you used such a strong acid by mistake, usually when you backflush a heater core it will start leaking down the road as the heater cores are a more fragile cooler than the rad. hoping for that not to happen to you tho,,to be honest replacing the heater core does not look that bad as some youtube videos show how to do a shortcut on doing it, and also by replacing it you would have to not worry about it starting to plug up again or worse start leaking inside the cabin at a difficult time or place, great write up on a frustrating repair that never seems to end...sounds like you are a good mechanic or car guy so guess you know your transmission is about to need to be serviced as well at 100k,,,take care and stay safe.....
  2. if you cant any paint you might have to just go to your automotive paint store and buy a small can of what you want and also buy a small sprayer as well they can be bought cheap of course what you pay for is what you get in quality...good luck also try ebay i would be certain they will have what you need as well
  3. google is thy friend ,took me about 3 minutes to find this for you 2012 journey.............
  4. they are just slowly killing off the dodge and chrysler name and business, they split off the dodge ram to just Ram trucks, cut back on the mini vans as they didnt want to compete with the higher price ones with the low cost caravans and pushed thoes buyers to the Journey and now cutting out it and hoping buyers will buy into the jeep vehicles or higher priced durangos or pacificas, thus reducing how many platforms that they are building,,used to be if you wanted the cheapest truck you bought a dodge ram, that has changed now you can actually buy a ford truck cheaper than a dodge and i get an employee retiree discount.. the old 300 is probally the next to get cut.
  5. i checked my paperwork and my driver side was the one they replaced was about 2 yrs ago and i was having them do a transmission service at the same time and they only charged me around $60 for the part and install and around 180 for trans service, thought that was a great price for the wheel senor and labor but i have a great dodge dealership that values loyalty,i hope they dont change....LOL
  6. just a thought i have heard you might be able to remove the sensor from the wheel and clean it off and reinstall it and sometimes they start working again, check out youtube on how to clean one...couldn't hurt as it might help....good luck
  7. i had a front one replaced but hadf the dealership do it for me.sorry cant help shouldn't be to hard to track by following the wire..........watch the following vidio should give you a good idea on how or where ,,this one is on the drivers side but about the same for passenger side i would assume... I have bad hearing and cant hardly understand him but the video is helpful.........
  8. usually the camera is mounted into the trim piece as a one unit i really dont think an oem can be separated of course this might not be an oem unit as well
  9. the OEM pads are great quality and just buy the local part store on the rotors usually are a decent price and quality
  10. Welcome to the group, my back up camera on my 2014 was acting up for over a yr and sometimes it would show things upside down for a second or two before it flippinging back right side up,it finally bit the dust, so i took in to the dealership since i bought the lifetime warranty ended up being a bad camera....so i guess you didnt buy it from the dodge dealership?

    Tires

255 50 19 will be the biggest without rubbing from what has been reported on here,,, also your speedo will be accurate as well the same as your 225 55 19
  13. of course they do,just find you a good electrical store of shop they should have one
  14. 'General Tire' altimax is a great tire i put them on my daughters patriot that she uses on her mail route, and they have held up great for her,and also i use to NOT buy the tire warranty (but in her case i started buying it ) cause she gets so many flats and also some tire damages i always get now even on my own tires as discount repairs or replaces the damage tires NO questions asked they are great, the only problem with them they are a 30 mile drive to the next town, I have been bugging them that they need to build a store in our town and he said it was in the plans but the covid virus has put that on hold for a while....

    new ram pickup

he doesn't hail or tow for work, just back and forth to his hunting camp and hauling his off road vec, he is a big hunter as well
  16. at 140 they wont be dropping the pan and replacing fluid i assume....
  17. what tires are you getting for $ 89.....i only use discount tire as well cheapest i see is 109 for the off brand name tire in the 225 55 19 then jumps to around 140 for the next cheapest, might be your region of the counrty that makes the difference
  18. same thoughts here as well , I wouldn't buy an awd myself just more things to go wrong
  19. first change the dam plugs they are wayyyyy over due use the oem copper plugs as well they are cheap and easy to do,have the alt checked and as mentioned replace both it and the decoupler with a new serpentine belt and also make sure your belt tensioner is still working correctly. also you never mentioned when the car was first purchased as that will decide if you still have power train warranty as it is 5 yrs from the date of purchase and 60 thousand miles, very important if you are having transmission problems...also are you in the U.S. ? Canada? or elsewhere as you didnt post your location also very important. with out such info hard to help you..
  20. rough running could be the plugs need to be changed every 30 k,,,,, have the alt and battery checked for free at your local part store,,,,,, also how old is the battery? how many miles on the engine? i am assuming the noise is just a very recent occurrence? also while having the alt and battery checked have them see if their are any codes stored. good luck
  21. from your yr and mileage you might still have power-train warranty still have you checked with the dealership? www.dodge.com/crossbrand/warranty/pdf/2016-Dodge... The Powertrain Limited Warranty lasts for up to 5 years or 60,000 miles on the odometer, whichever occurs first
