Towing Mirror

i doubt it as the journey is really not a towing vehicle, you might find something by calling some camper stores or handicap vehicles shops -
2015 Dodge Journey - Worst vehicle ever made?
2late4u replied to Mudshack's topic in Owner Impressions
guess its just the luck of the draw on getting a good one, I had a 2011 (with 70 k and no problems with it) and loved it so much i traded it in on my 2014 and have 112 k on this one and have only had 3 small things go wrong with it and they were covered under my warranty -
if you are having to add BRAKE fluid every few months then you have a leak, just clean everything thing as good as you can and then when it leaks a bit you will know what area to examine for the leak, might need to have a qualified mechanic check it out since they have the proper tools and knowledge to troubleshoot the problem, good luck

Horn Shuts down engine ONLY
2late4u replied to Deadboltdon's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
really have no idea and never heard this one before ,might be related to the clock spring,,if you dont want to pay for the dealership diagnostic fee, then your only recourse is not to use the horn i guess, not trying to bee funny or rude. -
Headlight Wire Replacement
2late4u replied to 12 PACK's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
id go the short route and just splice into it the closet you can to the light .Why go any father and maybe do more damage? -
yes of course they will fit, that said be aware your tire replacements for the 19 inch will cost you a lot more than the 17inch and i had a 2011 with 17 inch and they lasted me almost 55k before i replaced them and then traded it in on my 2014 with 19 inch rims which i like the look BUT the cost and not much selection on tire brands unless you switch to a 235 55 19 or 255 50 19 ,and as mentioned before the cost of the 19 inch tires are high priced. you might want to go to 18 inch or 20 inch rims as the tire selection is better with better prices..either way good luck and also you might want to check out for your self sizes of tires compared to the oem by googling tire size comparisons calculators

my mistake thought you were talking coolant temp and not the oil temperature

2015 Journey gauges going crazy
2late4u replied to Dcarroll1002's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
Definitely have your battery load checked and also the alt ,local parts store will do this for free, journeys are bad to act crazy with a low battery charge also make sure the battery clamps are clean and tight. -
couldn't hear any thing wrong and it was to short of a clip for my ears

never knew or read anything about a transmission repair under a regular car insurance, i did have a friend where his jeep suffered an engine lockup due to hydro (water )getting into the engine and his max warranty wouldnt cover it because they said he went threw the water to fast and causing the water to enter thur the engine cover plate and the seal between the engine and trans but then he found out his reg car insurance would cover it

thanks for responding back as dragonaut did not report back, important for others to learn and try to fix their journeys, welcome to the group -
ended up going with a 4 drop and 3 3/4 rise made for a perfect height when using the 3 3/4 rise position for towing the trailer and he had 16 inch tires on the trailer as well

Growl / Loud Gear Noise During Moderate Acceleration
2late4u replied to tsteves5's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
i just had an experience with my daughter patriot, she had already had both front and left rear wheel bearings replaced and developed a loud noise and it wasnt a droning noise or grinding but sounded more like a thumping noise that got louder with speed until you got to around 50 mph and then would quite down a bit, her regular mech said her right side wheel bearing was good as he had checked it out and that it was her rear end going out, anyways long story short i put it in the dealership expecting a 2500 repair bill and they called and said it was her right side wheel bearing was bad even tho while spinning it while on a lift it made no noise.... so that 2500 bill ended up being just around 400 which is high for a wheel bearing it was a lot different than what i was expecting -

i would say wheel bearings , they can go bad and sound different at different times depending on the load from the vech -
forgot to mention i have a crossroad with the 3.6 engine

didnt try to say they were a shop that makes and installs them, yes it is a manufacture that rebuilds them and also sells them thur their authorized shops, was just giving a different option of going thur the dealership or regular transmission shops, have heard a lot of good things about their products

already have the hitch and wiring but getting ready to borrow my sons trailer and i need to get the receiver hitch and ball, class 3 and know i need a 2 inch ball but what drop or rise is every one using, or would a straight hitch work okay,,.trailer is just a regular size 6 by 8 i believe and will just be hauling 2 tractor scoops of cotton seed mulch from the local gin co-op, (this stuff is real light not like soil),,by the way this stuff is the greatest, it doesn't pack down hard like dirt stays loose ,and keeps the weeds out great, and looks just like regular soil....anyways just wondering what to buy to hook up to the hitch
