at least you know the neutral safety switch isn't the problem

have you tried putting the gear shift in neutral to see if it helps?

while i will replace the plugs on the 2.4 patriot that my daughter has which is a easy straight forward job doing it on the 3.6 is a different story and since it is only done every 100 k or around 8 yrs life is to short for such aggravation ,,the same for the trans service as well what extra i pay the dealership to do it is well spent especially since i have the mopar max warranty so if something comes up they cant say well you did something wrong while replacing this stuff....and also being 68 yrs old and getting a bit shaky as well figures into this as well....LOL

while i usually use the discount tire store in town,they have been running super great deals from the discount online site as well and the thing about doing it besides the better discount is if you buy the tire protection plan on line the tires i am looking at it is around $11 per tire and at the store it is around $16-19 per tire and also the tax online is about $24 cheaper than at the tire store as well, now they said well we can meet the price on the tire and also the protection plan but cant charge less on the tax...............only problem i ever had with their service is 1 time i had the r-bal done and then about 2 days later i went to do something under the car and thought well i remove the tire and my lug nut socket wouldn't fit on 2 of the lugs on the wheel .WTF so i checked the other lugs and found more of them deformed as well and yes i know the 2 pcs lugs from dodge tend to deform over the years but i found around 12 of them at this one time so i called them and told them about it and they tried to say about the cheap OEM lugs and i agreed with them, BUT not 12 at one time, and he said ya i agree and put me on hold and then said drive it back and we will put on some solid 1 pc lugs on the bad ones and i said well lets do all of them and he said that would cost them around $40) for them which is (bullshit), but i said well ill pay half , $20 for the whole set, which is about a little less what i would have paid off amazon, and he said okay,,,,,and i also always check my valve stems caps as i always find one loose out of the 4 after having the rotation and balance has been done.....other than that they have been great to do business with... i also found that when i ordered the tires thur the internet and they get delivered to the house, i always have checked the date codes on them and they are always just been manufactured within a month of me getting them so no worries about getting out of date or old stored tires as well

as above, i also purchase a lifetime alignment (around $180 at the time and with 4 wheel alignments @ $90. each pop it sure has paid off) from Quick lane for my journey and i have it checked every time i rotate the tires at 5 k,i get my tires from discount tire as well they are a great tire company...

you didnt mention your miles on the journey, or if you were having any problems with it, BUT knowing how much trouble it is to replace them why not go with the OEM plugs, why chance going with a different plug. i have a 2014 and had my plugs changed out at around 95 k along with a coolant change and transmission service at the local dealership, i would have liked to seen the plugs but forgot to ask to have them saved for me to look at....oh well to each their own but i would go with the OEM plugs .....

isn't it amazing as well, they never rot, turn green, or melt away

hell i remember pumping gas for 20 cents a gallon in Michigan when i had my first job ( 16 yrs old) of course back then gas stations had gas wars with each other and we pumped it and checked the air ,oil and water and cleaned the windshield and also there also was a free dinner plate or silverware to go with each purchase

you should have warranty go back to your dealership for some answers as well,please pot back what you find out

had mine done at the dealership , and they used OEM plugs, last over 100 K ,why not go with them?

it might reset by itself keep resetting the selection to different settings mine did that for a bit when it was new and then started working fine after that,if it doesn't restart by itself then check out you tube for blend door sticking, they say you can tap on it also to help it reset ,or you may need a new one not expensive just a bitch to get at it,,check out the forums as this has been discussed alot

as i stated above i would have paid extra for it after what i experienced going from the 3 zone to the 2 zone, it just cools off the journey so much better,but as i didnt need the extra seats and the 5 seater has a flatter rear area is why i liked it, but live and learn

thanks for the info, it sure might come in helpful for posters who are having problems,,my daughter was having problems with her older caravan and the problem ended up being a wire shorting out in the connector making her coil short out and go bad,was a hard thing to trace down as well congratulation on solving your problem

sun roof = possible leaks...3.6 more power but more expense on plugs and repairs if ever needed. 2.4 less power but enough for a daily driver easier plug changes as well, might want to see about a new journey if any left since they are being phased out, full warranty,lower interest rates on loans also should be able to get a better price on the bare bones one as at 19k that was probally what it cost someone when they bought it brand new....good luck with ever which one you choose

the fluid is your transfluid, the cv should just pop out i used a long pry bar to use to pop it off just dont damage the face of the seal and there should be just none to minala amount of trans fluid to leak out.be careful replacing the new unit in and not scrape the seal as it is being done,i havent ever replaced one in a journey but did several in my caravan,,check out youtube for videos on how to do it,, never had to replace the seal myself as it was always the cv joint going bad...good luck

try your local dealership for the correct part that said also check ....https://www.moparwholesaleparts.com for the strut this is what i found,it shows a exploded diagram so dont know if it is a complete unit or what also i would replace BOTH struts just so you will know for sure the are the same ,Good luck and also check your local custom car shops to see what they have to offer compared to the OEM brand Home MOPAR 68039642AG Suspension Strut, Right - Mopar (68039642AG)

just head down to your local auto part store and ask them,they always have helped me out, and i am sure they would take a look at it and have something to sell you

way over my skills,,, but good luck, I am and sure you will get it figured out ,and please report back on what you do to get it out.....

probally a torx screw head , just google that and you will see the shape

i do know that the pads they use on the journeys now are a great quality pad, also my daughter drives a jeep patriot on her mail route and the oem pads worked better and lasted longer than the wagner thermoquiet pads i replaced them with, and just this last time i went back with the mopar oem pads, they are a better quality pad

might be the iphone software, i would try a different (brand) type of phone before spending any $$ for anything, i posted on your other post any warranty left 3 yr/36 k?

my 2014 while i was on a trip all of a sudden went to max pressure but the engine sounded fine, next day got it to the dealership they said the oil sensor went bad but that the oil pressure was still normal just the sensor was shorted out he said a lot of the 2014 were having problems with this problem from the manufacturer supplier, i was lucky as i had bought the lifetime warranty on my journey so it just cost me my ded of $100 also got a free car rental while they fixed the journey havent had any other problems with it since,,,, cost at dealership is around 500 back then...days of cheap repairs are over unless you can do them
