ABS Module replacement C2200 C2206
2late4u replied to oscarmiked3's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
i am no mechanic BUT when my abs light came on and it ended up being wheel speed sensor when i tried to get the local auto stores to read it, they said they couldn't due to covid but more important that the abs codes and ability to read them were a priority code that only the dealerships could do or authorised mechanics. maybe someone else can answer your question with a better answer, but whatever you do to get it fixed please report back for others to learn from good luck.... -
look at the paperwork you rec on the warranty and at the end of all the listed coverage it should give you a phone # and the info you need to cancel it, and as well as stated above i hope you bought a mopar warranty and not a third party warranty as they have a lot of loopholes and make getting work done a lot harder from what i have read...good luck

well since the org poster never came back with an answer ( a 2 time poster) we will never know as suggested check your codes and also report back for others when you get it fixed,,,,most likely a thermostat problem or just extreme cold that you are experiencing, you could use a piece of cardboard to help from getting so much cold hitting the rad , nut i would just have the state changed out it that is the code

before making any permanent deal with the dealership maybe investing a few bucks with a lawyer might be advisable as this sounds like a cluster fluck,or at least let the dealership think you have talked with a lawyer but then of course all dealers get you to sign an agreement to a separate mediator as well,,, as for the price for a 2017 doesn't sound bad if they fix the rocker arm problem and let you keep the warranty since it was a certified journey as well, so many things going on here hard to say to stay with it or walk,,,that said i have a 2014 journey and love it, just remember at 100 k you will be due plugs around 250 there, transmission service at least 250 there and also a coolant change not sure i can't remember what i paid for that.good luck and you might as suggested to get corporate involved as well as they hold a lot of power over the dealership since they seemed to have slipped up here

where did you buy your journey chrysler or off brand dealership? also the warranty from chrysler is 3/36 yrs and miles and powertrain is 5 yr / 60 k, the ticking noise isn't an emergency problem BUT needs to be fixed and also either you were mistaken or the salesman is wrong on your coverage, i am assuming you bought a after market 3rd party warranty, and NO that doesn't sound right to have to wait,, you have signed paperwork that you bought a warranty,, hope everything turns out okay keep us posted,, also the warranty you purchased probally has a deductible that you will have to pay as well

well i just had my transmission fluid and filter done again at 109 k as of now, i had my daughters transmission serviced last week and asked how much for the journey and they said $189. so i had it done , well they ended up charging me $220 and when is said you quoted me $189 of course i expected tax but they said well the fluid was higher and whatever,, blaa ,blaa, so then i said did i get my employee discount and they said it was already figured in, kind of didnt feel like arguing ,so i said well ok dont worry about it, i just wanted to get out of there and i know know i am set for a long time as already had the plugs and coolant change dorn at around 95 k. and since i have the max warranty i wanted to have it all done by the dealership so if i have a problem they cant say well you didnt have it done right... they have a all new service dept personal the old ones treated me better but the new are still pretty good on getting things done quickly and also done right,,,

2late4u replied to Hernan_JourneyRT's topic in Accessories, Modifications
reminds me of my 2001 dodge truck i had that was only month or two old i took it down and had the muffler and converter cut off ( i know was supposed to be illegal to do that)and 2 flow masters put on and on my way home i stopped and filled it with gas and then went by where my wife worked and dropped it off and got her caravan to go fill it up and went home with it,,,,well when she came in the house after work ( she was late getting home) she was hollering there is something bad wrong with the truck so i only drove 25mph to get home LOL a 10 minute drive took her almost an hour,,, she didnt think was as funny as i did tho..... -
Chip Tuning for Dodge Journey 3.6 R/T?

i would be more interested how it sounds from the inside during accereating and also during normal cruising mode to hear if it was an annoying loud hum inside the journey,,,usually it sounds nice when you are young and enjoy the sound but can get annoying when on a long trip or wanting to listen to your music or talking -
For many years the caravans all had roof rails and the crossbars and then they just started installing just the rails but no bars (as many drivers never used it and also probally saved them a ton of $$$$$) and then they started not even putting the rails on the top.... just another way of saving $$ if they dont have to install them.

GLAD you took the time to post this for other journey owners,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,most posters after they get it fixed fail to report back on what they did

my grandson gmc truck it was an old the brake light part went bad about 2 yrs ago but i google it. and that is how i found the problem and also found out gm had a recall done on his type of truck but his had never been done so we were able to get it fixed for free from the dealership, i dont know if there is a recall on the journeys for this as this is the first ive ever heard that it was a common problem, oh well just thought you might want to check with a dealer to see if it would have been covered and maybe get reimbursed

first off Welcome to the group, second i am sure some will chime in maybe with some help as i know nothing about this stuff. and also in the states we dont have diesel but with this problem that shouldnt matter, hope you will be able to resolve your problem without to much trouble and hope you get yrs of service from your journey as well, stay safe and well -

sorry if we offended you as we dont know all what has been done or where it has been done, sounds like you need a different repair place this isn't fixable over the internet, yes Dodge dealership cost more but they give a better warranty and also they take better care of the problem, sorry you are finding this out the hard way, i hear jasper transmissions are one of the better repair shops , google them and look for one of their repair shops and they do offer longer warranties as well, good luck
