Doors not locking
2late4u replied to Nay82's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
so is it all the doors? what about each door locking with the controls on that door or are you talking about the master control on the drivers door?does the hatch lock and lock with the out side button? are you also saying none of them will lock or unlock using the key fob? since you say the key doesn't work so that would only be for the drivers door,, if the key wont unlock the door then it is the lock itself in that door,, a broke wire or fuse won't strop a key from working.,,,either a dealership or possible a glass repair shop could fix the door lock for you -
dodge dealership with the vin # would be your best advise for this question, good luck

thanks for the next poster to ask the same question

Front Suspension Overhaul - Some Tips
2late4u replied to TheCarCzar's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
not for sure myself but it is there to pull the tire in or out for alignment purpose, actually the non adjustable looks more out of line than the adj one is also, would it depend on what angle you are taking the picture...also there is a rubber bushing in each bolt hole as well.- 18 replies

thought i was pushing it with my wifes 3 wheel scooter and its only about 1/3 the weight you are trying to carry you are way over the Tongue weight of the class 3 hitch for the journey we- also use a carrier that extends about that far behind the bumper and has a fold down ramp to load the scooter,,, and i have some problems with the rear getting out of alignment and is probally due to us pushing the limit with her scooter, i dont believe it will be worth it to make it possible to haul such a load...Griffin Mobility use to makes a tow behind unit that would carry the chair but it runs around $ 2700 it looks like a small 2 wheel trailer that the chair loads onto....sounds like they really need a bigger vehicle to carry the weight that you are talking about...good luck

Adding a Back-Up Camera
2late4u replied to Dan H's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
there has been plenty of owners upgrade from the small screen to the 8.4,can be expensive and you also have to change out more than just the screens, i believe the wiring is the same just different connectors..most of what iv read most use a kit from the internet, look thur the forum for a lot more info also you should be able to you tube some info as well,,, might take a bit but there are some great people on here that can post what you need to do but might take them a day or so to see your question... good luck and report back after you get it done... -
Adding a Back-Up Camera
2late4u replied to Dan H's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
why did you not go OEM, after market parts usually dont work correctly with new car software, good luck but id check into returning the back up camera and go with yes more expensive OEM and save yourself a lot of trouble,,,,,good luck -
i have used K-N air filter for the engine on my 2011 and then kept it for my 2014 and still use it up today, no problems 70 k on the 2011 and 107 k on my current 2014 crossroad,,,also save yourself a bunch of $$$ and buy the K-N cabin air filter as well i clean mine twice a yr just wash it out, shake off the water as best you can, then spray it with some air fresher and stick it back in

Front Suspension Overhaul - Some Tips
2late4u replied to TheCarCzar's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
as he said great write up and thanks for posting it for others as well, AS OhareFred did i also bought a lifetime warranty on my 2014....I see you are from up north i was raised in Mi myself but moved to sunny al about 45 yrs ago and the great thing about that is the undersides of our vech look just as clean as the top sides do no rust or corrosion for the most part making repairs a lot easier... just wondering what was the mileage on your journey as that is a lot of repairs for a 2016 and also what brand of struts did you use the Monroe quick struts or did you fool around with compression the springs as well....sounds like you did quite a job and know you are glad its done,,,,, take care- 18 replies

also be smart and replace the plastic tubing with rubber tubing as well at least from the washer nozzle to the side of the hood and then part way down the fender as it cracked on mine where it bends at the corner of the hood, also helps keep it from freezing as well

Engine RPM surge when coming to a stop
2late4u replied to DodgeaWrench's topic in Engine & Transmission
use to do that to my daughters caravan that she used for a mail vehicle every oil change would replace a quart of trans fluid, didnt cause no slippage of the trans by changing to much at one time -
i had a friend that bought a new jeep with the 3.6 couple yrs ago and he was going thur some water with it, slow and steady and not deep water as well. engine went dead and the jeep dealer said the water got into the engine thur the rear seal and it wouldn't be cover it under the warranty,,,, but he said later on his auto insurance covered the repair which i found hard to believe but he said it was true...P.S. he had bought the max lifetime warranty when he bought the jeep as well
