welcome to the group

my grandson has a 2018 Nissan Altima and they have a big filter in a awful place to get to you almost have to bend it in half like a fan to get it to go in the slot, and the newer ones you have to remove about 8 screws and take the front of the glove box off to access it.

Engine RPM surge when coming to a stop
2late4u replied to DodgeaWrench's topic in Engine & Transmission
i would be leaning towards the transmission for your problem as well,,,, just wondering why you say a oem throttle body is not available? -
agree with 5rebel9 , dealership or a good electrical repair shop is best for you on this,YES expensive but sounds like way over your experience level
-
welcome to the group i also have a crossroad as well 2014

I once has a boat that after a long time acting up i finally found a anti -siphon valve mid way on the fuel line stuck at half open thus not allowing full gas flow.. since you say this always happens at 3/4 empty possible fuel pump intermittent problem?good luck

what about the coils,, .have they been replaced which eng assuming the 3.6? how many miles on the engine? might be cheaper to replace the eng with a good used one if no cause can be found... has the journey been worked on by the dodge dealership as they would know what is wrong more than a local mechanic, please post back with your end results as well good luck

if the sensor is easy to get to i would replace that first just to start with the easiest and cheapest fix first also check the wire connection there as well to make sure it is making a good connection, my 2014 had a oil senor go bad it read completely peg out at high but is really hard to get to but was covered under my warranty,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what ever you find to be the fix please report back on the answer

2012 3.6 AWD overheating and coolant gone after 1 min
2late4u replied to cbeja's topic in Engine & Transmission
parts run from 100 for unknown quality part to 300 or more for a mopar OEM and also you can upgrade to the newer style oil filter housing as well that came out in 2014. vidios on you tube on how to install or pay labor at a garage your choice..... -
agree with the above, yrs ago my daughter called me and said dad i think my transmission is going bad, said it was shaking and not driving right and seemed like the eng had a miss i went out there took it for a quick drive actually ran okay at idle but when driving you could feel it shake and hesitate went back and got to checking and one of her back side spark plug had loosened up as i could wiggle it a bit by reaching around to it, went and bought her some new ones put them in and it fixed the problem

2016 dodge journey awd crankshaft sensor
2late4u replied to Jpass74's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
as before this guy is hard to understand, i am assuming you have the 3.6 engine ( you never stated what eng) and this video would make sense why the dealership wants so much for the repair, the other videos were on 2 .4 i would assume...local garage with a competent mechanic should also be able to fix it cheaper than the dealership,,,good luck on what ever you find out and do ...please report back on that as well -
2016 dodge journey awd crankshaft sensor
2late4u replied to Jpass74's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
dealership parts counter should be able to point you in the right direction or the part stores where you do business as well...good luck P S being AWD shouldn't make much difference on this part location as the 3.6 engine is standard over almost all models it is used in -

2late4u replied to cbeja's topic in Engine & Transmission
is your dipstick showing way over the full mark? its either in the engine crankcase or leaking out somewhere, the engine is probally shot, sorry you have this problem -
not for sure on the programming but i dont think so, just add the lights and also you will need the new light switch, dealership should be able to tell you for sure, good luck also the oem fog lights really are not that great

Another Backup Cam Thread
2late4u replied to trevcda's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
my back cam does some of the problems you mentioned sometimes flipped, black and white and either not working and black screen with the disclaimer and or working perfectly, kind of a crap shoot when i go to park it, have checked the wires thur the hatch opining no problem there, would really be pissed about it but i use a medical scooter ramp on the back so most of the time i really cant use it. oh well hope you find out what your problem is,,,,also i use to work where they did a lot of surface mount soldering of parts like this article is talking about and yes there can be problems where parts dont get soldered or a bad attachment that can give problems done the line, but it is usually very rare that said it does happen, more likely a part going bad . -
sorry to say this but i really look forward to your post and hoping you are going to say got it done, i really feel bad for you as you seem to have my luck on fixing things, but hang in there sounds like you are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, just hope it isn't the train tho......
