  6. my back cam does some of the problems you mentioned sometimes flipped, black and white and either not working and black screen with the disclaimer and or working perfectly, kind of a crap shoot when i go to park it, have checked the wires thur the hatch opining no problem there, would really be pissed about it but i use a medical scooter ramp on the back so most of the time i really cant use it. oh well hope you find out what your problem is,,,,also i use to work where they did a lot of surface mount soldering of parts like this article is talking about and yes there can be problems where parts dont get soldered or a bad attachment that can give problems done the line, but it is usually very rare that said it does happen, more likely a part going bad .
  7. sorry to say this but i really look forward to your post and hoping you are going to say got it done, i really feel bad for you as you seem to have my luck on fixing things, but hang in there sounds like you are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel, just hope it isn't the train tho......
  8. most of us dont bother to go to all the trouble of checking your info under your profile, so YES it does matter when asking for help to include ALL the pertinent info with your request for information ,,, just makes good sense and also makes it a lot easier...also they quit making paper back manuals,if you have the cash they do offer online from what iv heard but expensive
  9. had to google this as have never used one before, well the fluid doesn't look yellow or clear,of course it doesn't look blue either,,,, more green color, i would remove more of the org coolant before doing your next test, good luck
  10. had a friend yrs ago and he said every once in a while his caravan wouldn't start and he would use a hammer and bang on his cat to loosen it up and then his van would start, of course this is only worked for a bit till they clog up completely

  12. well being a 2012 you might have a heater core starting to plug up since you said it wasn't working great before this happened.you might trying flushing heater core in a reverse flush to see if you have trash or contaminants in the core. also there is a quick way to remove the heater core and replace with a new one on you tube. good luck

  16. never heard this was a common problem with the lights, also sometimes my journey takes a few seconds of cranking as well, no worries in my head 2-3 seconds of cranking is no concern
  17. I would assume all the windows work off the same fuse so if the others are working its more the switch or motor. or maybe a broken wire...also there are 2 fuse boxes ,,one under the hood and the other under the glove box up high behind the carpet...good luck
  18. IF they tpms is the original from the factory then it is 9 yrs old the battery is going bad in it most likely
  19. i use syn oil and mopar oil filters and i change it myself at 5-6 k intervals, i have a 2014 3.6 and 106 K on the clock and only once have i seen the change oil lite, yes i could go a lot longer according to the manual but I decided 5-6 k was good for me, when i do change it i havent lost a bit of oil and it still looks clean but i have the mopar max lifetime warranty and plan on driving it till the wheels fall off
  20. LOL so much info you have given, try telling which side of the eng, what is near it shouldn't be to hard as they only reach so far the other connectors should be close by..Give as much info you can for a better answer to your question, good luck
  21. just wondering what you consider high for a ded ? hope you can fix this yourself seems once they start having problems with the nav it becomes a head ache to figure out,i am sure there are some on here who can help you ,might take a while for them to see your post so be prepared for a couple of days to see some help
  22. there has been a few on here asking how to fix a misfire on there 3.6,,As always all car manufactures have certain problems with their vehicles, and they improved the brake rotors after 2012 so no more problems with that, and have read that some have starting problems due to battery drain on their electrical system, that said i have had none of thoes problems and really love my journey. my advise would be a 3.6 with the 8.4 radio screen and i would stay away from the Nav radio as some have problems with it and also real expensive to update, also unless you really need awd just go front wheel drive as there is less to go wrong with all the extra drive train, which can get expensive to maintain and repair. good luck
