thought i was pushing it with my wifes 3 wheel scooter and its only about 1/3 the weight you are trying to carry you are way over the Tongue weight of the class 3 hitch for the journey we- also use a carrier that extends about that far behind the bumper and has a fold down ramp to load the scooter,,, and i have some problems with the rear getting out of alignment and is probally due to us pushing the limit with her scooter, i dont believe it will be worth it to make it possible to haul such a load...Griffin Mobility use to makes a tow behind unit that would carry the chair but it runs around $ 2700 it looks like a small 2 wheel trailer that the chair loads onto....sounds like they really need a bigger vehicle to carry the weight that you are talking about...good luck

there has been plenty of owners upgrade from the small screen to the 8.4,can be expensive and you also have to change out more than just the screens, i believe the wiring is the same just different connectors..most of what iv read most use a kit from the internet, look thur the forum for a lot more info also you should be able to you tube some info as well,,, might take a bit but there are some great people on here that can post what you need to do but might take them a day or so to see your question... good luck and report back after you get it done... -
Adding a Back-Up Camera
2late4u replied to Dan H's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
why did you not go OEM, after market parts usually dont work correctly with new car software, good luck but id check into returning the back up camera and go with yes more expensive OEM and save yourself a lot of trouble,,,,,good luck -
i have used K-N air filter for the engine on my 2011 and then kept it for my 2014 and still use it up today, no problems 70 k on the 2011 and 107 k on my current 2014 crossroad,,,also save yourself a bunch of $$$ and buy the K-N cabin air filter as well i clean mine twice a yr just wash it out, shake off the water as best you can, then spray it with some air fresher and stick it back in

Front Suspension Overhaul - Some Tips
2late4u replied to TheCarCzar's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
as he said great write up and thanks for posting it for others as well, AS OhareFred did i also bought a lifetime warranty on my 2014....I see you are from up north i was raised in Mi myself but moved to sunny al about 45 yrs ago and the great thing about that is the undersides of our vech look just as clean as the top sides do no rust or corrosion for the most part making repairs a lot easier... just wondering what was the mileage on your journey as that is a lot of repairs for a 2016 and also what brand of struts did you use the Monroe quick struts or did you fool around with compression the springs as well....sounds like you did quite a job and know you are glad its done,,,,, take care- 18 replies

also be smart and replace the plastic tubing with rubber tubing as well at least from the washer nozzle to the side of the hood and then part way down the fender as it cracked on mine where it bends at the corner of the hood, also helps keep it from freezing as well

Engine RPM surge when coming to a stop
2late4u replied to DodgeaWrench's topic in Engine & Transmission
also you tube has some good videos on how to measure your oil dip stick so you can use it as well for your transmission dip stick,i went ahead and marked mine with the fluid level in the trans and it was right on with the instructions from the videos, i just marked my dip stick on the edge with a small file mark real easy just wipe it off good when getting read to check the trans... -
Engine RPM surge when coming to a stop

use to do that to my daughters caravan that she used for a mail vehicle every oil change would replace a quart of trans fluid, didnt cause no slippage of the trans by changing to much at one time -
i had a friend that bought a new jeep with the 3.6 couple yrs ago and he was going thur some water with it, slow and steady and not deep water as well. engine went dead and the jeep dealer said the water got into the engine thur the rear seal and it wouldn't be cover it under the warranty,,,, but he said later on his auto insurance covered the repair which i found hard to believe but he said it was true...P.S. he had bought the max lifetime warranty when he bought the jeep as well

my grandson has a 2018 Nissan Altima and they have a big filter in a awful place to get to you almost have to bend it in half like a fan to get it to go in the slot, and the newer ones you have to remove about 8 screws and take the front of the glove box off to access it.

i would be leaning towards the transmission for your problem as well,,,, just wondering why you say a oem throttle body is not available? -
agree with 5rebel9 , dealership or a good electrical repair shop is best for you on this,YES expensive but sounds like way over your experience level

welcome to the group i also have a crossroad as well 2014

I once has a boat that after a long time acting up i finally found a anti -siphon valve mid way on the fuel line stuck at half open thus not allowing full gas flow.. since you say this always happens at 3/4 empty possible fuel pump intermittent problem?good luck

what about the coils,, .have they been replaced which eng assuming the 3.6? how many miles on the engine? might be cheaper to replace the eng with a good used one if no cause can be found... has the journey been worked on by the dodge dealership as they would know what is wrong more than a local mechanic, please post back with your end results as well good luck
-
if the sensor is easy to get to i would replace that first just to start with the easiest and cheapest fix first also check the wire connection there as well to make sure it is making a good connection, my 2014 had a oil senor go bad it read completely peg out at high but is really hard to get to but was covered under my warranty,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what ever you find to be the fix please report back on the answer

2012 3.6 AWD overheating and coolant gone after 1 min
2late4u replied to cbeja's topic in Engine & Transmission
parts run from 100 for unknown quality part to 300 or more for a mopar OEM and also you can upgrade to the newer style oil filter housing as well that came out in 2014. vidios on you tube on how to install or pay labor at a garage your choice..... -
agree with the above, yrs ago my daughter called me and said dad i think my transmission is going bad, said it was shaking and not driving right and seemed like the eng had a miss i went out there took it for a quick drive actually ran okay at idle but when driving you could feel it shake and hesitate went back and got to checking and one of her back side spark plug had loosened up as i could wiggle it a bit by reaching around to it, went and bought her some new ones put them in and it fixed the problem
