no mention of your miles on the journey but probally due since its a 2011 might be a good idea to have the filter and fluid changed along with the rad coolant
-
didnt know it was an awd journey, hope it isn't to big of a repair bill, report back on the fix and cost for other posters that might have the same problem....good luck and stay safe

welcome to the group, dont know what trans quirk you are talking about but the journeys are prone to have a clunk now and then when going from park to drive or vice verses, and make some creaking noises going over speed bumps or uneven pot holes
-
could be a lot of things maybe a wheel bearing, hard to tell without hearing it

welcome to the group, i had a 2011 main street, and loved dodge journeys i traded it in with 70 k miles on it for my 2014 crossroad that i have now, cruise thur the forums for some good and bad ( LOL ) reading

the upper rear trailing link (control arms) oem are non adjustable, i have had problems with my 2014 with them wearing out the inside of my rear tires due to that, your choice is to replace with the org non adj part or part a higher (about 80-95 per side) plus labor only 2 bolts easy to do, then when you get your 4 wheel alignment which cost about 80-100 if they get out of adjustment or the Bushings wear they can be adjusted

Flywheels are typically found on vehicles equipped with manual transmissions, while flexplates are used in vehicles with automatic transmissions. A manual transmission has a flywheel that is attached to the crankshaft and has a clutch disk in between the pressure plate and flywheel.................................................. What causes a Flexplate to break? Aside from a manufacturing defect, the only things that will cause a cracked flex plate are improper torque on the plate bolts at the crank and torque converter and the most common cause of transmission to engine misalignment; sometimes caused by missing alignment dowel pins that mate the transmission to the engine. ..........had to google flexplates thanks for posting your problem and what they found it to be.......

dont know why i have had problems with mine unless its the added weight from my wife's medical scooter that we carry on a rack that is held up by the tow hitch,, never had a problem with my 2011 but at that time i would load the scooter into the rear hatch back,,,but got tired of that with my 2014.. LOL and also was couple of yrs older as well

what was the total cost for the new torque converter and labor? just wondering
-
dont forget to get an alignment ,did you go with the oem ones i kept having a problem with thoes things and went with the adjustable ones they are after market but a better design to them?

had a 72 nova and during the winter on my way to work going thur the Mi snow storm and all of a sudden heard a scraping and slight banning noise as i was almost at work so after i got off the noise was still there and stopped at the chevy dealership on the way home and it was the inspection plate that covers the bottom of the bell hosing had got dented inward by some frozen ice from the road...

i believe if you type in the vin # at the dodge web site it will bring up the options on it, or maybe the dealership would pull it up for you and yes 10 grand for a 09 seams way to high
