hope it works and maybe some one else will chime in on this,it has been discussed quite a bit on replacing one but cant remember anyone talking about it had to be calibrated
-
found this on goggle dont know if it really works ..good luck............... Blend Door Actuator Motor Calibration Turn ignition key to the on position and turn on the HVAC system. Move the key to the off position. Open hood (bonnet for the RHD guys) and locate fuse #15 in the fuse box next to the battery. Remove the fuse and wait 1-2 minutes for any capacitive charges in the system to dissipate. Replace the fuse. Turn the ignition key to the on position. You can now watch the motors move as the system goes through the calibration routine. Leave the key on for a couple of minutes to make sure that the calibration routine is completed before turning it off. You will also be able to hear additional activity as all the doors and fan speed are calibrated. You may have to run the cal routine a couple of times to get the system back to full functionality. If the position of the new door is significantly different from the point at failure, the system will successively move toward the new correct position setting. It may take two or three cycles for the system to move to the correct position.

from your video that doesn't look any thing like a cv joint for the front right side unless it is missing a bunch of the part. like rubber boot and the outer metal covering.....google Cardone New® - CV Axle Shaft $47.31 - $55.92 for a picture of what it should look like

dealership would be able to give the correct name and OEM price, and with that you could go aftermarket but be careful of the quality of the aftermarket parts....sometimes the cheap ends up costing more than the OEM route

driver side tail light doesnt work
2late4u replied to DECK55's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
might want to disconnect the curt wiring harness from the both sides, not hard to do and see if that makes a difference, cant remember, do you have led taillights or the reg bulbs, if regular bulbs remove and check the connections in the socket and also the bulb, my daughters jeep had a bad connection in the connector and had to replace it...just a thought.good luck and report back on what fixes your problem.....if led light housings you should be able to exchange the right to the left and let them hang to check to see if the problem stays the same or moves with the housings -
any part store would be able to answer this as well with a price,,, but for thoes with a answer, what size engine, which side of the journey, fwd where the axle is or at the rear.... info would be helpful

Back up camera
2late4u replied to dalarieanderson's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
check the wiring in the upper left hand side of the hatch they have broken wires found there before, that said my 2014 acts up as well either completely black or black with the warning at the top or sometimes image upside down then readjust and then normal. or sometimes it works just fine. havent had time to take it to a dealer to get it fixed just waiting for it to go out completely. hope you find out what it is please report back on what you find out for others with this problem -
lol my back up cam started working again today after not working this last week....oh well
-
dont go to pep boys they ripped my granddaughter off on her ac work, go to a qualified ac shop for your journey
-
might sound stupid but has the battery been replaced or checked, Journeys dont like a near bad or bad battery, try jumping it to start or charge the battery up to full charge,my 2014 battery just went bad a few weeks ago and acted just like what you are talking about lights radio and other things worked just wouldn't try to turn over
-
so true on the waiting to get it fixed ,have been doing the same on my back up cam it has been acting up for about a yr now sometimes inop sometimes works but image is upside down for a sec or 2 then works right, but as of a few days ago it just quit either black screen or black screen with the words on it, i have the max warranty as well so it will only cost me the ded of $100,but since i have my wife's med scooter ramp on the back it blocks the view mostly, so kind of have been waiting on something else to need to be fixed before i take it in, i have checked the wires in thee upper rear boot no problems there.. oh well at least when i do take it in they will be able to see what is wrong with it....LOL good luck on getting your noise fixed things like that you can live with until it gets on your last nerve
-
recheck all your connections as something happened during your install, please report back on what you find for others to learn
-
yes the plastics cap can be over tightened to tight and crack it or the housing, that said wear and tear on oil changes shouldn't cause this unless over tightened, i have a 2014 my self but i do my own oil changes. sounds like you are going to need a new oil cooler installed, weather you go half with them or whatever they are offering is u to you, the part here in the states is about $ 200 U.S.good luck
-
well the dealership would probally be around 100-150 i would guess, reg mech should be a lot less after he takes a quick look with you there he should be able to give you a quote,my regular mechanics if they cant fix it they dont charge me anything, and actually had that happen twice... just check around
