  1. your best bet would be the dealership part store for info on fit and other specs, and to be honest we dont usually get to many questions on trans overheating on journeys and might be because the have such a low towing limit most that do are over extending their journeys limits,,,good luck on what you find and please report back for others to learn
  2. welcome to the group , the above video even tho hard to understand can help you out quite a a bit ,also check out motor city mechanic on you tube as well he has a lot of great info on journeys,,,,,you tube will be your best info o repairs as there are hardly no repair manuals anymore
  3. the misfire isn't there always, kind of like a ghost here and there but for whatever reason when it's happening I can unplug cylinder 2 coil pack and there's no change To the motor, meaning I'm not getting spark but why? And why at random times and other times it can drive for 30 minutes or more without issues................... I would definally check the wires and connetors to this coil pac as your statement points to a broken wire or connector making a bad connection at times...good luck
  4. stop by your local body shop and just ask them, they would tell you how to get the covers off the rails themselves should be held on with a bolt that tightens into some nutserts for the threads
  5. some have said the bluetooth module can cause a battery drain, check the forum out a lot of info there on thoes that have had a problem like yours, good luck
  6. shouldn't matter as long as you are cross tightening the lug nuts, but always a great idea to drive the vech a bit then recheck the torque again
  7. any luck on your water leak,i was just watching a journey repair video and they were chasing down a wire shorting out problem on a 2012 and it ended up being a rear camera wire that had been improperly installed on an aftermarket unit but while doing that he noticed water stains on the headliner like yours, he said the customer brought the journey back later and he fixed it and it was from where the antenna was mounted on the top rear but in this case someone had mounted one of thoes shark antenna and didnt get it sealed correctly, also he pointed out that there is a electrical unit or small box that also was getting wet,so you might want to recheck and make sure that is not where your leak is ,i know you said you check it but that is the most likely place,of course it could be the roof rails spots as well. good luck and please report back on what ever you found to be the problem
  8. didnt need it for myself, things like this is why i bought the max warranty, just put it out there for the ones that might need it

welcome to the group, you need to have a 4 wheel alignment done not just a 2 wheel they usually run around $79-$99 for it good luck
  10. when you rotate them make sure both front to rear, i had a similar problem with my brand new journey, dealer kept saying the tires were balanced and no problem, i kept moving one tire at aa time till the problem went away and then marked the tire took it back to the dealership and explained what i did they checked it out and then replaced the tire no more problems after that,,,and these were brand new tires with less than couple hundred miles on them
  11. https://www.infotainment.com/products/replacement-uconnect-touch-8-4-inch-radio-display-screen $299.95 if you ship your broken one to them to fix or$399.95 for one already fixed......looks simple to install just plug and play .............................here is a different manufacture https://www.factoryradioparts.com/
  12. i read somewhere that the screen is replaceable and looked easy to do ,google should find the part you need whether OEM or aftermarket,,,good luck P.S. might want to check out the scrap yards as well
  13. iv read and seen ads for aftermarket drls and remote start, but dont have no experience with them.
  14. at first i was going to say maybe a bad sensor, but when you said it started to sputter it could be more serious as trans problems that said you didnt say which engine you have i its the 2.4 have you replaced the plugs? at 57 k you would be over the rec 30 k interval to replace them, if you have the 3.6 then the plugs should be good till 100 k not sure what you meant in your last sentence so is the problem solved or still having a problem and also maybe when they worked on the journey they messed something up with the trans sensor,,,hard to tell from here.good luck and i am sure someone will chime in on this problem you are having
  15. also welcome to the group, and just a warning your battery will probably need changing soon ( if it is the oem) and every one will tell you journeys dont like a weak battery, might want to watch out for a good sale on one and watch a few you tube battery replacement vidios and do it on a good day instead of waiting for it to go out on you at a bad time or bad weather
  16. glad you got it fixed and it was a simple thing like a clogged drain outlet
  17. thats what i was going to say as well
  18. Was just working on my step sons dodge truck and i seen it was wet on the passenger side carpet real bad, he said it had just started doing that this last week.pulled the carpet back and seen it was leaking around a plastic part that had no holes or screws, so i cranked up my air compressor and crawled under the truck and then seen the drip tube coming out of the firewall for the ac water to drain and nothing was coming out so i shot some air into the drip tube and then it started draining so we dried off the inside of the cab with towels the best we could and also dried off the rubber sound padding under the plastic part where i seen the water dripping from and no more drip, ran the air for about 10 minutes and it continued to drain out thur the drain tube,so hope we got it fixed, havent heard back from him since we fixed it........by the way what we were org doing was putting a dash skin cover over his broken plastic dash and also the instrument panel as well, looked really good after we did it and and unless you are looking really hard to see what we did you wouldn't even see it....good way to fix your broken or damaged dash they fit just perfect and the color was spot on as well got it off amazon was about $212 for both parts
  19. sounds great and try to keep a positive attitude, and when it is over go on FB and give them a great review for fixing your problem and mention names as well on who helped get it right, keep us informed ,and by the way welcome to the group
  20. calling their service dept might be a quicker way to fix the problem and also will let them know you are having a problem with your purchase from them either way hope someone will chime in on a possible way to fix your problem
  21. why not just go back to the dealership for them to show you how to add your phone or for them to see why it wont let you do it,,,good luck
  22. my daughter had a caravan that acted like that and she thought it was the trans and i changed the plugs and actually one of the plugs was loose and that fixed her problem.......that said i also had a boat that acted like that,if i took off slow it ran fine ,idled fine but if tried to take off fast it would die out, of course the boat shops were already booked up for at least 2 months before they could look at it, i tired everything, even pulled the fuel pump off and checked it pumping good off the engine ,put a fuel/water separator on it ,changed plugs and points and anything else i could think of and then my dad thought about following the gas line and it was there we found the anti-siphon valve was stuck in the half way open position enough gas to idle but not to run wide open under a load, so yes could be injectors as well but think its the plugs first
  23. yep i would be upset as well since he said he just bought it,but that is one reason i dont like to buy used if i can avoid it. battery thur dealership probally around 150 at least ,plugs around 150 as well and trans service around 200, and have no idea on the cost of a fuel system cleaning, I did the plugs on my daughters 2.4 jeep was about $11 for the plugs and 20 minutes to install them they need to be changed out every 30 k and only use the OEM copper plugs, i would bet that is the problem
  24. my 2011 with the 3.6 didnt have a dip stick as well...not sure if ther 2.4 with the different trans has one or not i think it does,,,,also with my 2014 i cleaned off my oil dip stick and inserted it into the trans service hole and marked it where the oil was showing with a grind mark also checked on you tube and measured it off and it was in the correct level... i remember when i was looking at my new 2011 and said where in the f is the trans dipstick... LOL car manufacturers are getting so cheap
