did you have a problem leaving the fuse in the in line fuse holder?

still having problems with this harness. i rec the replacement today havent installed yet, but i did buy a led tester from harbor freight and it shows the juice going to the trailer connector working on both the left and right side but when hooked up to the trailer connector only the left side works ,the right side blinker and brake doesn't work, i actually dont have the trailer hooked up to the journey with a trailer ball hitch ,just the wire connector, not sure that should matter since the left side works great but not the right side, I am going to hook up a wire ground from the journey to the trailer just to make sure that cant be the problem,,, this has got me stumped as this is doing the same thing on 3 different trailers that i have tried it on....

also make sure you have a good seal on the air cleaner box since it sounds like a vacuum that goes up and down with the speed also any of the tubing and connections -
you mean other than any other 6 yr old car, if its been maintained then shouldn't be nothing to worry about i have a 2014 crossroad with the 3.6 and love it have 102 k on it,only had 2 problems with mine 1 was the oil pressure sensor went bad was covered under my max warranty and also have had my upper rear trailing links replaced with adjustable ones as the OEM are non adjustable.,the 2.4 is easier to work on like the plugs but you are supposed to change them out every 30 k but $12 for the copper plugs and dont use anything different and half hr and your done.... i would change the plugs and have the transmission fluid serviced as well along with the coolant service also..also in city driving will not be that great if that brothers you

when working on the rear the upper rear trailing arm is a non adjustable OEM part, the bottom ones are adjustable, i ended up going aftermarket with the upper ones as you can buy them so that they can be adjusted, they can be bought off amazon ,rock auto or most local part stores

11 yrs old and also fairly high mileage as well like john said nurse it along go to a thicker oil and save some $$ and keep an eye out for a low mileage engine like he said from lkq or scrappers in your area just be careful who you buy from or run it till it pukes and then scrap it depends on what you want to do , I wouldn't put a lot of money into something this old unless i really wanted to keep it.good luck

actually seen it was made in mexico on 2-22-20 at least they are sending me a new one with no problems,so that is a good company policy,,,have a great weekend

only problem so far is when it is hooked up to a trailer only the left side trailer lights work, checked with Curt tec support they said to check the wire on the right side where it is spliced from the factory, they have had some problems i guess,so checked that unplug everything and re-plugged it back up again still not working on the right side only left side working ,all of a sudden right started working,,put the lights back in buttoned everything back up,everything still working got home from my stepson house, fixed lunch and then went back outside to try it on my neighbors trailer and dam only the left side working, checked everything again nothing just the left side working so i called Curt tec support again told him everything and he said well i dont have a clue as to the problem so ill just send you another one and said take care..oh well so much for plug and play ....

looks like you have covered all the possibility on parts make sure everything is in line also check your alternator and the decouple pulley as well if it starts dragging that could cause the belt to slip and or heat up and come off also as well the ac compressor pulley, good luck

first off hope every one has a great Easter weekend and stay safe,,,have had my hitch installed for couple of yrs and never installed the towing wires as i just use the hitch for the wife's medical scooter carrier, but got so bored this last couple of weeks in the stay at home mode i went ahead and ordered the curt wiring harness from amazon for about 450. total and installed the kit and went to run the wire to the front and went to run the wire behind the plastic wheel well and was having a hard time due to the wheel being in the way so i finally decided to remove the wheel and that is when i relised that last time (3 weeks ago) that i had the wheels rotated and balanced at discount Tire that 3 of the nuts on the rear wheel the 19 mm socket wouldnt go on the other 2 slipped over the lug nuts just right, i thought what the hell so went to the front tire and 2 of them the socket wouldnt go on the lug nut, so went to the other side and found a few as well ,so i called the tire shop and they start to explain well ford and dodge use cheap lug nuts that are 2 piece lugs and they go bad after a while i said well i understand that and know that as well and if i had 1 lug nut deformed i would say your right but to never having any problems with them and all of a sudden i have 10 or more go bad at one time I have to believe to is more of a problem from the last time you all did the service work than just a coincidence and he did agree so he said well come on in we will remove the bad ones and replace them withnew solid lugs and i said well i have to drive about 25 miles to the shop and i really dont want half and half good lugs and bad ones how much for a whole new set and he said well we normally charge about45 for all four wheels but how about 20 and said i am on my way, so got all that done and finnished running the wire up to the jump post and got the install finnished..LOL other than the lug nut problem the install went fairly easy just in case i ever need to use the tow hitch with a trailer....things never go as planned but glad i did it just in case i ever had a flat tire later on down the street that i found it sooner than later

Change the plugs and use the approved copper plugs and also engine air filter -
could be your brake pads, could be just about anything from what you have explained, pull the wheel and look to see what you might find ,check for loose connections as well ,also check your front end control arms, tie rods, and other such parts......... good luck

since he doesn't say where he is from only gold plans i see listed seam to be from Canada and they have different lengths on the mileage as well, as always we need as much info as possible to help.

CV joints all four corners of your journey,,,also might be the awd transfer unit going bad, has it ever been serviced as well?your brakes really shouldn't make hardly any noise when spinning them by hand as the calipers should release almost completely. What shape are your brake pads front and rear looking like? and do you have any warranty left is the Big question? also CV joints would make the noises going forward or backwards when doing the figure * or sharp corners as well
-
fwd drive or awd? sound bite not working for me,,,usually CV joints only make a noise ( usually a clicking noise not grinding)when turning go to an empty parking lot and make sharp turns while doing a figure eight pattern you can google this on you tube, also if it makes a noise when turning right then its your left CV joint and vice versa,as for wheel bearings if going bad they should get a lot hotter than normal if making a noise you should be able to feel near the rotor, jack the journey up and put a jack stand under it as well and rotate the wheels and see if you feel any grinding noise or motion also try to shake or move the wheel google this a s well on you tube.....hope it is one of these 2 things a lot cheaper than a trans.

so i guess it is a 2009 or 2010 ,what size engine? get it worked on before it does major damage, lifters?
-
went out and checked mine again and yes it does slide forward but it is a real hard push not like how easy the front seats move, best way to slide mine forward was to put one hand towards the rear as far as you can then raise the leaver and push forward, might help if you have someone lift the lever and you use both of your hands to push it forward.also to get to the rear bolt it looks like you could access that bolt by removing your foldable rear floor and reach it from that angle good luck

Bad AM reception new symptom
2late4u replied to jimmyk's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
would assume the antenna ,but if FM working okay, it could be the radio itself, try replacing the antenna and the wire, check your connections real good ,and if all else fails hey its only the AM part of the radio -
thought id post this just came out

2014 crossroad went out to start the car today nope wouldn't crank, tried using the end of fob ,nope just one small click sound , when locking doors with the fob they lock okay no horn beep, neighbor brought over his battery charger he put on jump start nothing but yet when he put it on the charger style it showed almost full charge.,called for a tow to take it to the dealership and i asked him to try to jump start it he gets out his jump box and the car started up, so i ran it down to the local garage and they checked with with a load test and it was reading good but at just above bad level, i ask what he would charge for a battery 114 plus tax and 20 for the install,he said well give it a few days and maybe it will be okay so i said put that interstate battery in. the other battery had a 3 yr full warranty and it was 3 yrs and 2 months old... for 20 bucks i dint want to fool with installing the new one..oh well have to spend that stimulus money on something i guess. the click i was hearing was just a faint sound not a real distinct click like the old time solenoid did.
