  2. was it swaying that bad before the new tires?, broken belts can cause some problems..other than that you have covered the rear problems that i can think of...what shape is the front struts and tires like? i am assuming you had a 4 wheel alignments done after installing the upper rear arms?

  4. have who ever did the work check the connections on the battery explain to them what is going on, has to be something they did
  5. they bought the parts and labor i believe it was around 325 if i remember correctly,i already had the alignment lifetime contract so that is about $90. for a 4 wheel alignment,it was winter time and didnt want to fool with it,but looks simple as it is just 2 bolts and nuts to install on each unit, some one said you need to use a strap to hold the wheel straight when removing the trailing link i dont know but looks like it would be so easy and then take it in for a alignment...$77 times 2 plus tax then $90 for alinement and this was not the dealership it was quick lane service shop, which is associated with Ford dealerships all across the country...good luck ps check you tube for any videos on how to replace yours

  7. i dont have awd but i dont believe a warning light would keep a vehicle from starting, but you probally have a serious problem with your VISCOUS transfer unit, look underneath the rear end and see if you see oil stains that would be from a leak....good luck

  16. i talked to some tow truck drivers when this was discussed yrs ago here , they laughed and said they have them to use ,but there are different sizes for different vechiles but we dont bother to take the time to use them to much trouble they said,.. Just snatch and grab and go
  17. like stated above you knew the cable was bad, should have had it fixed when first was notified of it not tightening down. just replace it but since you will have it apart i would definitely have the battery charged up completely and then have a LOAD check done on it since it has went dead several times since being installed just to make sure it is still good.good luck
  18. look thur the forums there was some post on how to drain and refill it as it sounds like a bugger to do and there was mentioned on some of them being replaced,,,,as i have said before this is why i dont buy an awd vehicle ill just stick with fwd
