  1. i dont know if replacing the rack and pinon would require a alignment? but since they replaced the tie rods i would say yes there is a need for the alignment...that said had the journey hit anything that would have caused the need for the cradle to be adjusted ?..the reason i ask is my daughter use to use a minn van on her mail route and she hit a concrete block that messed up the alignment and most places couldn't fix it for her till we found one that they had to adjust the cradle and also had to use a bigger blot of one of the camber spots worked fine after they worked on it, also they didnt even charge extra for doing all that but they did gain a new loyal customer after that, and i also told them that as well, they just laughed and said WE take care of our customer thats why we are here.....
  2. no.... its not connected to the tpms, sensor,,,, also with these lights on your cruise control wont work as well,i had thoes lights on as well but the car part stores scanners cant tell you which wheel is bad IF that is your problem, mine was the drivers front wheel that was bad ,,dealer was already doing some maintenance work on it and they fixed it for about $59 for the part and labor,, but my air bag light was not on
  3. nope i just had mine done at the dealership yrs ago you will have to have the dealership add the sales code as well to make it work...
  4. https://www.moparpartsoverstock.com/
  5. probally a wheel speed sensor gone bad only dealership and bigger garage will be able to hook their scanners up to check which one is bad, the good thing the parts are around 30-50 each if that is what is wrong...
  6. no he is referring to the wire going to the battery there should bed an inline fuse installed within about 6 inch of where they hooked onto the battery, whether at the battery or at the upper battery jump post, this is used when a aftermarket tow hitch is used and with led lights you have to use that little converter box for your trailer lights. just google .......CURT 56330 Vehicle-Side Custom 4-Pin Trailer Wiring Harness for Select Dodge Journey...................... this is from amazon and will show you the little box seen on the left side of your rear brake light that converts led brake lights to the trailer lights they also have one for reg lights but i am sure you have the led ,,,the little box is probally bad ,or the fuse went bad check both.... cheap ass electronics i guess from china....LOL good luck they also show how to install this kit on you tube video if you google it to see what we are talking about...
  7. welcome to the group did you get awd or just fwd?either way congrats
  8. just did mine today as well both air filters, engine and cabin
  9. first off was the other car running while you tried to jump start?? second sounds like the solenoid is not kicking in for the starter to work ...are you 100 % sure your battery is good have it load tested and not just tested with a volt meter.... check ALL your wiring from battery to the starter to the starter ground to the alternator as well,if nothing found then find a good mechanic
  10. should be able to clean it good enough to be okay use some dawn dish washing soap,,,,,,
  11. https://www.lkqonline.com or look for your local junk yard
  12. what is not working? shouldn't be to hard to find where it goes as it only reaches so far,let us know.
  13. was just reading that on some engines after installing a crank shaft senor it has to be relearned or calibrated this might be your problem
  14. well since we now know what you have and what you are looking for,on mopar site that is$625 and i would pay that before paying that much for a dorman part. must be a special assy part that has been balanced together since it is a drive line shaft, would be cheaper to get one from a junk yard or a used part supplier if you are looking for a deal...as i have said before just another reason wouldn't buy an AWD just to many extra expensive parts that can go bad. good luck and i am sure someone will chime in on this part for you
  15. Failure analysis: Thinking back through the events when I replaced the rear pads, I remembered that the driver's side rear caliper was the first one I worked on. I had tried to use the universal cube tool to reset the pistons and I realized that I was turning the piston the wrong way. I ended up backing the piston out of the bore to the point where it became cocked. There must have been enough of an air gap to admit a large quantity of air into the cylinder, causing the loss of pedal firmness and authority. Lessons learned: Use the proper tools (i.e.: not the useless "cube" tool) for resetting the calipers. so it was the mechanics fault NOT the useless tool that turned the piston the WRONG way, by the way i use that same useless cube when i work on my journey and other vehicle that it fits ,,,LOL it works correctly every time for me,you must have got a defective one i would assume
  16. SHAFT. Front Drive. Right.. [3.6L V6 266.76 mopar part ,,,,you didnt mention which side you were having a problem with......auto part store would def be cheaper but then it wouldn't be as good as OEM are you talking about something else?
  17. are the stripes straight, one thing for sure no one can steal yours and blend in with the rest of them..looking good
  18. he there is one going according to your problem then there if different then start your own just be specific and give the most info on your journey and problem you can
  19. are you thinking this is a common dodge journey problem ?,you were rear ended get the insurance to repair it...
  20. i agree to the bad wire or ground causing so many problems
  21. most dodges you turn the key or push the start button 3 times then 3 times again and then 3 times again then wait the 5 flashes pause and 5 more flashes means it done and all is well
  22. (91°C × 9/5) + 32 = 195.8°F that is normal for a 3.6 engine at least that is about where mine ranges from 185-215 depending on temperature and driving conditions make sure you dont have a air bubble in the coolant system this was just discussed a few days ago check the forums for the post and or google on how to use the bleed screw to help remove the bubble from the system
