2013 RT AWD Front End Clicking CV Axle
2late4u replied to Red Journey 2013's topic in Engine & Transmission
as to why one is higher than the other could be brand of the unit and also which side of the journey either way you got a great deal on both of the repairs as far as the labor charges, and the difference in parts can be a wide variance ...OEM mopar cv joint probally would have been at least 200 or more and the labor as much, that said the OEM part will have been a lot better quality as well tho.most aftermarket cv axles even tho they claim as good as oem isn't true,,,,you get what you pay for- 2 replies

have who ever did the work check the connections on the battery explain to them what is going on, has to be something they did
-
they bought the parts and labor i believe it was around 325 if i remember correctly,i already had the alignment lifetime contract so that is about $90. for a 4 wheel alignment,it was winter time and didnt want to fool with it,but looks simple as it is just 2 bolts and nuts to install on each unit, some one said you need to use a strap to hold the wheel straight when removing the trailing link i dont know but looks like it would be so easy and then take it in for a alignment...$77 times 2 plus tax then $90 for alinement and this was not the dealership it was quick lane service shop, which is associated with Ford dealerships all across the country...good luck ps check you tube for any videos on how to replace yours

i also remember them talking about a sensor i think its the one above the rear view mirror that controls humidity in the journey
-
i dont have awd but i dont believe a warning light would keep a vehicle from starting, but you probally have a serious problem with your VISCOUS transfer unit, look underneath the rear end and see if you see oil stains that would be from a leak....good luck
