well at least you have it back repeated times for the same reason under warranty and since you say you are over the 36 k but didnt say how far you are sometimes if its close to the 36 k they will sometimes fix the problem again under a good will appreciation gesture, but you will probally have to go above the dealership head to corporate to get it they did it twice for me on different vehicles be nice but firm that you have had it in before for several times and it was never fixed that it keeps coming back. might want to try a different dealership[ even if its inconvenient to you....perhaps dodge care will speak up here and offer you some help...take care and keep us informed on what is happening

Rear Wiper Madness
2late4u replied to lytefall's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
remove the black rubber cover for the wires at the top left side of the hatch back, and check by squishing the rubber sleeve downward to see if you can see any broken or wires with the insulation scraped off, this is the most likely place for broken wires,if so you can splice them if you feel capable to do it. i checked mine when my rear camera was acting up but there wasn't any broken wires there, then i found on you tube by accident that the Dodge chargers were having a lot of the same thing happening to like mine was, and it ends up being the actual camera lens is going bad.oh well wait for it to go out then claim it when i have to go in for something else on the max warranty i have -
1.5 yrs of warranty ,then use it probally the one remote buttons are not making contact when pushed, maybe something has contaminated the fob housing causing the problems take it apart and try to clean with some electrical contact cleaner if you want to fix it yourself BUT that might void the 1.5 yr warranty you have left good luck

just check with your local dealership on the frt end change and if the parts are interchangeable and just change your bulbs out to led will be the cheaper solution than buying the whole units themselves as they are Expensive and when they quit working they have to be serviced at the dealership only..good luck

Clunking Noise During Low Speed Gear Shifting
2late4u replied to Darton's topic in Engine & Transmission
since this is in Km is this outside of the power train warranty that is offered by Chrysler?if you are still with in the limits i would take to a different dealership as they should be required to fix it. as you suggest i dont believe the fluid and filter change will solve the problem. maybe dodge care will chime in on weather you are in the warranty range?- 5 replies

well thats a great way to get advice by calling names from whom you want help...to be honest their isn't much can be done if the pedal height is not to your liking. i use to work for Chrysler in St Louis and drove the vans off the line and to be honest the ones with adjustable pedals that CAN be ordered(and to be honest might could be redone at the dealership but u am certain the cost would be extremely high) had a feel to them that i didnt like dont know if it was the angle or just the pressure feel when using them..good luck finding a fix for your problem

beside the cost of the cables and also losing space inside the vech, i wouldn't bother with it as i just replace it every 4-5 yrs and i always pick nice weather as i choose when to replace it

one or two of our members have had to replace that unit kind of pricey to have it done at the dealership check the forums for more info

back up camera
2late4u replied to 2late4u's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
seen this video on u tube but it is in Italian and there is no translation version but i believe what is happening to my journey. he starts the journey and then the words come up above which mine says i believe check your surroundings and then goes blank as his does , he shows how to replace just the camera and then his rear cam starts working, this is the first u tube i seen showing info other than the broke wire u tube.. just thought id put this here in case some one else has something like this going on ,,,since my knee is still healing i dont want to mess with this right now and also havent stopped by the dealership yet to check on what is covered on the max life warranty that i have... -
CD stuck in player
2late4u replied to Dtlantzy's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
sounds like the ejection assy. is out of alignment if you still want the cd player to work run by a stereo shop and let them work on it otherwise you will probally mess it up more yourself by pulling the cd out. the assy get out of alignment over time from having a cd in 24 -7 and the vibrations of the road traffic -
maybe a bad connection at the battery but i would almost lay odds he will be back in a couple of days

back up camera
2late4u replied to 2late4u's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
well nice day today,so i tried to see if there was any broken wires in the rubber boot for the back up cam, since i had it added at the dealership after buying the journey the big white cable and the 2 smaller wires ( i guess positive and negative) are not wrapped in the loom as the other wires are , nothing looks broke or cut all the other wires look great, no other problems then just the random working not working of the back up cam. had the parking brake on and put car in reverse while moving the wires and wiggling them didnt make no difference . oh well guess ill wait till something else needs work under warranty and then have them take a look at it -
well 1 yr old battery should be good unless its got a bad cell, first try to start it in neutral to see if its the park switch has went bad ,then i would pull the battery and have it load tested to see if its still good. guess you could check the strength of the battery at the the remote post with a volt meter but if thats good i still do a load test on the battery, there is also a battery temp sensor that is built into of the batter cables and that could have went bad as well,,,,good luck on what you find and please report for others that might have this problem as well

yes your battery can run the lights ut not enough to start it..you need to have the battery load tested at the auto shop like you said you were going to do??/ look at it this way replace the battery with the best one you can buy its 4 yrs old at least and going into winter time.

well the update on my knee with the mri said the tendon had come apart but the patella wasn't broke, so on sept 17 had surgery again. dr comes to me after the surgery says I really dont know what to tell you your tendon wasn't torn apart, looks like it is healing great but your patella is broken so he had to drill 3 holes thur the center from the top to the bottom and then thread stainless steel wire thur the holes and then then twist them tight to hold the bone together, he said i dont know why the mri was so wrong.so anyways i am about 3 weeks past the surgery, the staples have come out and just putting reg weight while walking with crutches, no pt yet but this feels really weird and tight having that wire in there and i can only bend my knee just a bit. good news after a lot of future pain and suffering i should get all my knee flexing back that i will need but usually the wires will have to be removed somewhere down the road about 6- 8 months and they have to cut about the exact amount they had to the first 2 times which is about 3 inches below the knee to about 4 inches above the knee. takes about 20 staples to close it.but right now no real pain just a pain in the arse as i cant hardly do anything i really want to

well the back up camera was starting to mess up sometimes and has almost quit working now not a real big deal since i have the fold up trailer lift for my wife's scooter so when not in use and in the up position it blocks the view but when we are carrying her scooter it does help. now i do have the max life warranty with a 100 ded, but i was wondering if it is just the wires in the rubber boot shorting out or broken if that would be covered???? i was told when i bought the warranty pretty much if it was mechanical it would be covered, i have been going to call the dealership or go by there but keep forgetting, also i have heard that if the wires are broken they replace the wiring loom and is kind of pricey. i have moved the rubber boot around before to see if it would lose reception back when it was messing up but didnt try to remove the boot ,or if the wires break up in the hatch or in the cabin roof area, or do they break inside the boot... has any one had any dealings with this problem that you have seen or fixed yourself i have watched some you tube videos on it but not to much info there??? if the break is in the boot i feel confident that i could splice it back together again but if it would be covered under the max life warranty then might just let them fix it and pay the 100.. thanks in advance
