"Moaning" noise after releasing breaks
2late4u replied to nojourneyfan's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
my dodge truck would make that noise every so often not real loud ,didnt worry about it, have you had your brakes done lately, did they replace the rotors or turn them?its just the pads releasing from the rotors ever so lightly, depends on the pads as well of what quality they are...pads could be glazed up so many different things could cause it other than the noise dont worry about it other wise do a complete brake job with high quality parts...good luck -
2013 Dodge Journey will not start
2late4u replied to Karol's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
even new cars can get a bad battery with a bad cell in it,like you say dealership time -
using this size will show you doing 70 but will really be doing 71.no big deal . i have run this size since my first oem wore out would like to go to 255 50 19 but the tires are always more expensive there than the 235 size so that makes them just perfect for me
-
no problem that is what i run on my 2014,
-
bad plugs most likely they need to be changed at 30 k, bad gas, transmission going bad,so many different things can be wrong
-
^^^^ as above mentioned guessing can get expensive have it checked at the dealership and get a detailed report for a service diagnostic charged usually around $100 also once fixed make sure you do a trans-service of the fluid and filter, and a coolant flush and refill as you are due for them as well
-
so i would say you wont owe the tank cleaning fee as well....keep us informed and good luck

old oil or over due oil change does not make a car engine run bad, might be a weak fuel pump and the engine not getting enough fuel or plug up fuel line would be my guess, had a boat that the fuel line anti-siphon valve was stuck have way open. long summer before i finally found that, kept pulling fuel pumps and filters draining gas thinking i had water in it,changing filters and plugs. would run okay at idle but trying to go faster it would run like crap... what kind of plugs did you use OEM i hope?

what was your problem and symptoms that the TIPM was able to fix?
-
well i dont see no hazardous rags or clean up charges on there, as most shops charge for such things, and no gas doesn't necessarily clean everything clean it leaves a residue on parts.maybe they had to clean out the gas tank. did they charge you anything under the warranty? dont see where you owed anything so whats your problem.. good luck i think you will need it...

just run by your local dealership they will be able to help you out in just a few moments or tell you if you have a problem
-
well not trying to stir the pot but 10 yr old mechanical part that breaks can be replaced no problem but 10 yr old software updates on electronics is a whole another story look at window updates they only go back so far.and my chrome laptop with google i just recently found out they have a 3-5 yr end of life updates as well. it still works okay but no more security updates for it.of course they dont tell you this when you buy it...
-
so you buy a used journey at car max and buy their warranty and then blame dodge for not wanting to fix it? something is not right here sounds like your beef is with car max not dodge...raise some hell at car max,but unless it has less than 3 yr/36 k on dodge has no skin in the game...good luck might want to try some junk yards for a used tank

i believe mechanicalidiot had one installed he said it took like 3 hrs for the install so doesn't sound like a quick grab and go repair, you could go by your local dealership they might be able to give you a heads up on it

2012 Service AWD light, traction light, ABS light...and more!
2late4u replied to uckybay79's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
yes,, it could from what iv read on the subject, now i would also be concerned about the awd service light, you said it keeps coming back on after going off.i dont have and dont want awd but have you ever had it serviced????? as that might as well be the cause of your light problems.. a lot of posters here here have had problems with the power transfer unit low of fluid and other problems. i would replace the wheel bearing hub first then later on i would advise you to have the fluid serviced on the power transfer unit as well as that can be $$$ to replace and it also is a bitch to service from what iv read about...good luck and keep us informed on what you find out.....
