  1. either heater core pluging up and or the passenger blend door hanging up. passenger side easy to get to check out you tube for video on it
  2. start by a load test on the car battery (part stores offer this for free have them check the alt at the same time) then i would remove the fuse for the alarm system and no i dont know which one that is, to see if this solves your problem. can be a lot of different things good luck
  3. first off i would defiantly got to a different dealership for repairs, i was first thinking of the catalytic converter myself reading your post i had one go bad on my mustang and my sons camaro had one go bad but if its getting plugged up it will quickly not let the engine even start. as i said try a different dealership and keep track of your paperwork to prove your problems good luck
  4. Jkeaton is right a low or bad battery wont turn on any codes or cel
  5. never had any with mine either, sometimes its age combined with miles driven, also sometimes its with the auto supplier to the OEM manufacturer with faulty products, happens with all manufacture of vechiles....
  6. watched this on you tube and also you can use just super glue and paper if limited in space for the repair,I havent tried it but was thinking might be good for the seat side panel that is always breaking, i have tried other repair for plastic parts but they never held up. will have to give it a try next time on this cheap plastic parts these days....
  7. i would say you must have a leak somewhere for it to be that low already or some engine damage, or just sloppy work from the mech, i always double check after having work done on what ever they have done and in this situation i would have checked the oil level before i had left the dealership when picking it up. i have learned to do this after many many years of mech working on my cars that dont always finish the job 100 %
  8. was looking at my journey yesterday cleaning the engine and such and noticed i have a s**** load of leaves built up behind the plastic cover in front of the lower windshield i released the 3 major plastic rivets then thought well have a couple more and then it looks like a plastic Phillips screw on both ends of each side, tried using a screw driver to loosen them but they didnt seam to want to loosen up so I kind of said oh well, but i keep thinking i want to clean them out .....any short cuts or ideas other than use a little more force.. P S going to harbor freight to get some of those tools to remove the plugs so i wont damage them to bad , thank Jkeaton on the tip
  9. i bought some off amazon mostly the bigger ones that go around the wheel wells size i do believe there is a mix selection of varied sizes for sale
  10. do what you want, but as i said i would be at the dealership at 7:30 am tomorrow morning stating you just had warranty work done on the vehicle involving the oil pump and you noticed it is now low on oil let them check it out tomorrow and then tell them you have to go on your trip and then do what they suggest and you will have it on paperwork what has happened. its that simple....
  11. i wouldn't put ANY oil in it.i would take it back to them to verify that the oil is low just in case something else pops up with your journey they worked on it it should be right from the start

    Welcome

ohh, hope you have no problems from the wreck after its fixed....
  13. check the forums all kinds of problems with non-starting issues, start with the basics battery, alternator problems, ground connections, and shorts,or electrical parasitic voltage draws...good luck
  14. there can be a leak at where the clamp holds the rubber hose to the frame at the calipers rust has been known to collapse the hose and prevent the calipers from working so there might be a small hole in one of the four hoses you have there have a mech check them out and or replace that hose
  15. seems like someone told you to have the alt checked after having a load check done on the battery ,and you could have had that done for free at any parts store, but at least you found the problem, good luck after all. i am out of here
  16. that would be easy to check and or replace, the filter you should be using should have the 3 leg tripod on it. part # mo-349 mopar, actually that is the only filter iv ever used, i buy them from the local dealer and they are about the same price or cheaper then most aftermarket filter so i figure why try to save .70 cents or so on something you only do once or twice a year....
  17. sometimes might take a few days for someone to post if they have help or info, i have not heard or had any problems like this myself. good luck
  18. pull the fuse for the alarm till you get it fixed
  19. ok, so it did good till it didnt want to start,,, i am out of this one.....
  20. are you 100% sure they put in a brand new Battery? journeys act crazy with the electronics with a battery that is about dead, as i said i would definitely have a load test done on this battery just to make sure even new battery can have a bad cell in it.. and take the time to make sure the connections at the battery itself are clean and tight a loose connection could be a cause of the problems......it is a pain to have to recheck them but might save you some $$$$ good luck
  21. well thats what i was saying, looks like something has spilled on some of the pics the other ones looks like the paint is bubbling up from under the finish. i would just remove the plastic piece sand and pain it. trying to do it on the vec would be real hard.good luck
  22. the point you make sounds logical BUT you only hear from the ones that are having problems, you dont hear from the ones that dont have problems .All car manufactures have different problems with all the different models that they sell. sorry to hear about your problems. i assume you have no warranty on it ,did you buy it from a dodge dealership?have a load test done on the new battery most places will do this for free and have them check the alt to see if its putting out okay.good luck but as we all know if buy used you usually are buying some one else problems.
  23. good luck,,,,,, and please respond with whatever happens and detail what you did for future help
