2011 Journey Wiper problems
2late4u replied to speedair01's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
check to see if at the wiper motor you are getting juice to it when trying the different speeds, probally your switch or the motor itself, if no voltage at the lower settings id say its your switch, if getting power on all settings then i would assume its the motor -

Auto locking and horn going off
2late4u replied to Cheeze's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
start by a load test on the car battery (part stores offer this for free have them check the alt at the same time) then i would remove the fuse for the alarm system and no i dont know which one that is, to see if this solves your problem. can be a lot of different things good luck -

Jkeaton is right a low or bad battery wont turn on any codes or cel -
never had any with mine either, sometimes its age combined with miles driven, also sometimes its with the auto supplier to the OEM manufacturer with faulty products, happens with all manufacture of vechiles....

watched this on you tube and also you can use just super glue and paper if limited in space for the repair,I havent tried it but was thinking might be good for the seat side panel that is always breaking, i have tried other repair for plastic parts but they never held up. will have to give it a try next time on this cheap plastic parts these days....

P06DD and NOT the Oil Filter Assembly Housing
2late4u replied to Mudshack's topic in Engine & Transmission
i would say you must have a leak somewhere for it to be that low already or some engine damage, or just sloppy work from the mech, i always double check after having work done on what ever they have done and in this situation i would have checked the oil level before i had left the dealership when picking it up. i have learned to do this after many many years of mech working on my cars that dont always finish the job 100 % -
was looking at my journey yesterday cleaning the engine and such and noticed i have a s**** load of leaves built up behind the plastic cover in front of the lower windshield i released the 3 major plastic rivets then thought well have a couple more and then it looks like a plastic Phillips screw on both ends of each side, tried using a screw driver to loosen them but they didnt seam to want to loosen up so I kind of said oh well, but i keep thinking i want to clean them out .....any short cuts or ideas other than use a little more force.. P S going to harbor freight to get some of those tools to remove the plugs so i wont damage them to bad , thank Jkeaton on the tip

P06DD and NOT the Oil Filter Assembly Housing
2late4u replied to Mudshack's topic in Engine & Transmission
do what you want, but as i said i would be at the dealership at 7:30 am tomorrow morning stating you just had warranty work done on the vehicle involving the oil pump and you noticed it is now low on oil let them check it out tomorrow and then tell them you have to go on your trip and then do what they suggest and you will have it on paperwork what has happened. its that simple.... -
P06DD and NOT the Oil Filter Assembly Housing
2late4u replied to Mudshack's topic in Engine & Transmission
i wouldn't put ANY oil in it.i would take it back to them to verify that the oil is low just in case something else pops up with your journey they worked on it it should be right from the start -
starting issues
2late4u replied to Classical L's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
check the forums all kinds of problems with non-starting issues, start with the basics battery, alternator problems, ground connections, and shorts,or electrical parasitic voltage draws...good luck -
there can be a leak at where the clamp holds the rubber hose to the frame at the calipers rust has been known to collapse the hose and prevent the calipers from working so there might be a small hole in one of the four hoses you have there have a mech check them out and or replace that hose
