I had the same thing you just mentioned - vibration and wet rotor sound...in my case it was the front rotors and I had them replaced. I have 46K on a 2011 R/T and have had at least the front rotors replaced each Spring. My dealership has a 1 year parts/labour waranty...and though the brake wear is minimal I haven't had a set of front rotors last a year without warping.

I put on the same hitch as "wingit11" and it has been a great hitch. You don't see much of it under the bumber and it installed with the help of a neighbour in just over an hour. And like the comments above...the hardest part of the installation was dropping the exhaust.

If the radio doesn't come equipt with the nAV you cannot add it later.

If your journey came with the towing package...you might need to get the dealership to do a flash update so the module will work...that was an ongoing issue with the 2011 - it was not plug and go like promised.

The only time I had my AWD go out on me is when I had a flat and the donut tire size throughout the AWD because of the mismatch in tires. Once the tire was repaired the AWD warning reset and it hasn't been any issue since.

Agreed...there is something else going on for your rear rotors to wear out before the front. I am at 34000 km and I have had the fronts replaced twice under warranty and the backs once. The rear rotors were due to siezed brake housing which they are having problems with.

I just had my second brake job done at 28K and both parts and labour were covered under the parts warranty written right on my invoice from the dealership. I was told that brakes were covered under warranty if installed by a dealership for 1 year unlimited unlimited KM's. What were the intervals of your first two brake job's. This last time they put 3 sets of fronts and 2 sets of rear rotors on and pads all around within 4 weeks. It ended up being the rear brake adapters were seizing up which I was told was a common problem on the Journey's. Unless your past the 1 year mark of surprised the dealership is not standing behind their parts. My issue wasn't the wear on the pads but warping rotors.

I had the front rotors relplaced under warrentee at 14K and because of the 1 year parts warrentee had all four rotors replaced at 28K. Problem is that I was back three consecutive weeks because the front rotors were warping within the week...the dealer said one time is was a defective rotor...the second time my guess was due to the fact the dealer over torqued the wheels (130lbs minimum)...ont he final time they through in pads as well. With a 1 year parts warenttee...my guess is I will have free brakes for life!

I had my front rotors changed under warrentee at 13K and just had all 4 rotors changed again under warrentee at 28K...the fronts were a parts wrrentee and the rear they "good willed" because of the ongoing problems. The dealership I go to has a parts.labour warrentee on their work (including brakes) of 1 year unlimited KM...so if the rotors last as long as these first two sets I'll never have to pay for rotors on my Journey...as they will never last the year. I'll sit in a shop for 2 hours a year for free brakes anytime.

The amp issue has been an ongoing issue...I had mine replaced about 6 months after I got it. Being a brand new car and the dealer saying the issue is the amp...I would demand that they install a new amp instead of waiting for a fix. On my amp it wasn't a programing issue but a component issue.

I beleive the it is the sensor for the automatic lighting system - it detects the daylight to determine when the automoatic lights come on.

Jag, I purchased the tow prep package but remember it doesn't come with a hitch...either way you have to go out and purchase one.

I put a hitch on my 2011...It was a Curtis/Hidden Hitch...it has a higher tow rating then the Dodge Hitch and drops below the bmumper when installed. It's a tight fit around the spare tire...and I got away from the veritcal hitch. I would assume that the frames on the 2011 are the same as the 2012.

My 2011 Journey is in today for them to repaint the drivers front fender...the paint was beginning to peal up near the windshield.

You can replace them wih 235 55 19's - most tires companies sell this size and I have seen them online for as little as $175 per tire.
