  1. I still think the DJ looks cooler than most other crossovers. A refresh is probably a good thing though. The thing in the article that struck me is that there may not be any V6 DJs after the refresh. Dunno. Love the 3.6. Peace.
  2. Yes. The last year the chill zone appeared in the DJ was 2010. Peace.
  3. On my classic, tracks are listed in correct album order. I did buy an iPod touch this past weekend because the iPod software is newer and I thought the actual software version may be the problem. Haven't logged a ton of music hours but it seems like the skips are still there and the iPod takes about twice as long to catalog. This is a small problem, but its starting to P!$$ me off!! Especially after I rolled the dice and spent $300 to try to compensate for uconnect. Maybe its just my uconnect system. I have a good relationship with the local service manager, I think I'll speak to him. I do have the lifetime warranty too, so wtf. Peace.
  4. Here's Allpar's ideas regarding the future of the DJ. . . http://www.allpar.com/news/index.php/2014/08/the-journeys-journey Peace.
  5. Kumhos are fine. I'll get at least 45,000 miles out of mine before I purchase new. I put the Kumho 21 tires on my wife's ride. She's got over 10,000 miles on hers and they still look new. Peace.
  6. So. . . what was the file structure? File for artist/files for albums/song files? Peace.
  7. Well, my kumhos have performed well and lasted over 41,000 miles. I'm getting close to the wear bars and the penny test shows that my tread is close to 2/32". I can probably get another 5,000 miles out of them if I really tread lightly. I checked on the availability of the 255/50/19 destination st tires that appear on the crossroad edition and they are either hardly available or not available at all through Firestone. I'm still thinking about going to the 255 size when I need new tires in the near future. Tire rack will guarantee a 245 tire but not the 255 tire. Just wondered if there were any folks out there with the destination 255 tires that appear in all the crossroad photos. Right now I'm looking at 245/50/19 Firestone Firehawk Oval A/S or Indy designs. I also have had 255/50/19 Yokahama ENVigor tires recommended to me, so I'm looking at those as well. Yokahamas are expensive though. Peace.
  8. Did anyone who bought a crossroad actually get Firestone Destination ST tires on their vehicle? Just wondering. Thinking about those for my next set. 255/50/19 Peace.
  9. What iPod does everyone use? I have been trying to eliminate the short music skips that I get when I use my iPod classic with uconnect. About every half hour my music will have a skip or short dropout. I freakin' hate it. Tried a uconnect update. I have been told that the iPod classic software is responsible. Maybe I'll try a new iPod to see if that corrects it. Any help to correct this will be appreciated. Peace.
  10. You are saying that the phone reads the text and takes dictation, right? If not, you ARE the first person that I've heard of to get uconnect to do this. Peace.
  11. I like my uconnect, for the most part. Album are would be cool, but certainty not necessary. The phone functionality is fine. I was kind of annoyed that the text functionality does not work. I'm over it now. Love the Nav, voice for phone calls, and stereo (iPod, satellite, Sirius travel link, etc). All in all, the tech in our DJs is easy to use and good for its intended purpose. I think the stereo sound is quite good too, although many have voiced disagreement with that statement. Please post any useful info. Peace.
  12. I've got 41,000ish miles on my oem kumhos. I keep wanting to put new tires on the DJ, but honestly I think I got another 5,000 miles before they are shot. Tire wear depends on your driving style, your local street surfaces, and maintenance (air pressure and rotations). Mine still roll as smooth as they day I got my DJ. Peace.
  13. When did Dodge discontinue Gracenote? Does your 2014 say music cleanup powered by Gracenote? I think dropping Gracenote is great for future owners. I may be stuck with insufficient or no album art, but that's how it goes. I'd like to get ongoing Gracenote update availability. Even if it costs. Ideally, uconnect would come up with a flash to allow it to recognize the iPod file album art. That way if you wanted your AC/DC albums to show a pic of your dog, you could do that. Let us know if you get any traction on this issue. Peace.
  14. If they don't cover your rental, don't buy from them again. Tell others about your experience. Heck, tell the owner of the dealership if it makes you feel better. Maybe he will see the value of a lost customer. Sorry to hear about your ordeal. Keep asking them to cover your costs and don't give up too soon. Good luck. Peace.
  15. I had my cam phasers replaced. The entire repair took about a week and my dealer just gave me one of their dealership cars during the repair. I thought that was cool. No rental hassles. Peace.
  16. I'm at 41,000+ miles now. While I have not measured depth, they are not to the wear bars yet. I keep thinking I'm going to get some new tires, but I think I'll stay with these as long as possible. Like Journeyman, mine are still quiet and smooth. They track slightly right but I had my DJ aligned and it was within tolerances. I certainly can't complain. Peace.
  17. Got my updates today. No effect on the Gracenote file. Van Halen is still goofy. Will still be leaving it off. No artwork for any albums newer than 2011. Only spotty artwork for older albums as well. Gracenote is so disappointing. Anyway, if anyone finds out anything useful, please post. If anyone finds out how to update our Gracenote, that would be cool. F Gracenote. Peace.
