My situation differs from yours, since I'm in the security industry and have tools and things like portable monitors and pigtail video adapters available to me. If you have a device with a composite video input you could probably use that and cobble a cable together. Otherwise you might want to wander by a stereo store that deals with backup cameras to get a diagnosis.

You could have shorted out the wiring harness, or there could be something wrong with the video input of the radio too. It would be best if you could actually connect a monitor to the video output of the camera to verify that there is no actual signal . . . . . and if there is video, then test where the wiring goes into the radio to localise the problem. If you bought the part online from a dealer you do have an equipment warranty on the kit.

Worse is that the Travel Link Sirius offers in Canada is nothing at all like what they offer in the US. So even if you could add the sales code it wouldn't give you the data the way it does in the US. Why? Because they like spending time on the phone explaining why what the manuals say doesn't match the reality.

At issue is that the radios they're installing have already failed and were simply reloaded. There were no repairs done since they have no idea why they fail, especially since not every radio has failed. That implies that they are sending out units as replacements that are predisposed to failing, and as such simply condemning you to a cycle of failures. That's why you want to be able to reload your own unit at home. It takes lot less time out of your life - and if you get a decent unit (as in it goes for a long time without failing) you won't be forced to send that out when it fails again down the road and risk getting a replacement that lasts 4 weeks. Mine has yet to fail (I know I'll regret saying it), but I have the tools to repair it if it does crap out.

Yes. You just acquire the RB5 module and plug it in. You will need t procure an unlock code for the new radio. If you have an active Sirius subscription on your current radio you simply call in and have it transferred to the new. Then, be aware that lots of people are selling radios that they claim have the navigation feature, but don't. One member here bought THREE separate radios from THREE separate sellers and not one had the navigation option - in part because there are many, many different part numbers out there and there is no universal decoder ring to tell you, as a buyer whether what you are getting has or doesn't. Then there's the simple fact that there are 3 versions of the RB5 in circulation - while the newest is the most desirable (it has access to traffic and it's maps can be updated relatively simply), it also is the one that suffers from a 'can't unlock maps' issue. Also, you will not have access to Siruis' Travel Link service in an upgraded installation. Not fatal in this era of smartphones, but just one more issue. I did the upgrade and have no complaints. -

Just like mine. Yes, those wires do go to the back. But for the life of me I couldn't find the other end. In any case someone is going to have to remove those wires. If you know how to unlock the pins (there's a white plastic bar) then great. I had my dealer do it since they were charging for an hour and he service manager said that they could get it done in that amount of time. It took them 90 minutes but they didn't bill me for the extra . . . . . Note that I connected the camera's power as directed to the cigarette lighter socket up front, but in retrospect I probably would have wired the power to voltage out back, since that's how the OEM wiring does it. Not serious, though, it works well enough except IMO for the way FCA programmed it; I would have turned the camera on when shifted into reverse as it does now, but left it on until the transmission was switched to Dive or Park, since you *might* (in my case that means often) shift to neutral while still rolling.

My '14 is a 2 row. They can be ordered that way. But there is more to the conversion than that extensive list - if you don't have the 3rd row of seats you don't get the rear air . . . . . .

Quick note; The instructions aren't as emphatic as I'd have liked about this: There is a stud poking out of the bezel that fits through a hole in the inside of the hatch and there's a nut that needs to be removed before that bezel comes off. The trim comes off first. It took me 20 minutes of prying and poking before I realised it. Hopefully I've saved you enough time with this advice to allow you to have an extra beer. Good luck with the install.

IN THEORY (note the caps) all you should require is the bezel with the camera. But my Crossroad likewise was supposedly pre-cabled. It would explain why you can't find a kit for the newer vehicles, because you only need to buy the part. But there is a risk to buying less than the 2011-2012 full kit with the cabling. I couldn't find the cabling in the rear. Obviously no one who has done it has seen your post, so you'll need to go with what's been posted. If you have no Bluetooth you also won't get the voice activated features since you won't have the buttons on the steering wheel nor the auto-dimming, microphone-mirror.. -

Guys; Put him out of his misery, give him the info and save him the trouble of looking it up The answer is that you aren't going to be adding OEM Bluetooth to your vehicle. If you must have a handsfree system I suggest buying something from any of the many vendors out there. I used a Garmin navigator that both supports Bluetooth (most do) and also implements voice command. My old 3790 did and the Drivelux 51 does too. That way I the unit mounted ABOVE the mirror and the wiring hidden in the roof liner and running down the pillar to the fuse block. Or you can just trade in your vehicle for one that has the feature. Cars cost a lot more there than here. 100K miles? Or kms? Brakes tend to need replacing more often on the older ones than the new ones with the bigger disks, but I got 55K out of the ones on my '11 when I traded it in because the deal was too good to resist. Rust? Good question. I have my vehicles sprayed and that has proved to be effective.

The quick answer is 'no'. And even if you could you'd still have to pay the extra $600 to activate the nav app.- the 8.4A is a closed system, so if you bought a Charger or 300 you'd still be stuck for the activation. If you want in dash and go aftermarket you will lose some functionality. The simplest and cheapest way to add nav is to install a self contained device like a Garmin 3790 with speech recognition.

There's another thread about this where the answers are posted, but I suppose it needs to be included here as well. To get the 'more icon' requires that sales code RSM be added to your vehicle; though why the do this is beyond me, since this is a Sirius feature and could have very simply been tested by the radio the way Traffic is - if you had an active subscription to the service, then menu would appear. Instead, this is like the DRL codes. They exist, but unless your vehicle shipped with them enabled, FCA's software will not allow them to be added and they have said that they will not change it. Admittedly you can get a lot more functionality out of your phone, but that wasn't the point.
