bigtsr replied to roxhar's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
Mine only starts to chime after I step out and close the door initially , then it chimes all the time opened or closed. -
I think these posts are using the diesel and they do develop shuddering problem with acceleration if the EGR valve is starting to fail ,previous posts have pointed to this problem.

Radio Sound Problem
bigtsr replied to DHP's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
The clock in my '11 gains time as did quite a few others according to posts. There is no update for this problem, it's never really bothered me so I ignore.it. -
Transmission woes shifting to drive is slow
bigtsr replied to Dusty256's topic in Engine & Transmission
I had a '98 Caravan that the solenoid pack needed to be replaced and it did not generate codes just erratic shifts. -
I have said from the get go when they started flogging these units here in Canada that I'll pay the extra 10 bucks a month for insurance before plugging one of these units in to my vehicle. I have no control over idiots that cause me to accelerate or brake in emergency situations and I refuse to deal with them.

bigtsr replied to Dusty256's topic in Engine & Transmission
Sorry to hear of your problem. 2009 may have been on the road since '08 and if you don't have service records I think you will have to bite the bullet and pay for tranny service. It could be the solenoid pack on the tranny which is replaceable. -

Power windows in a 2010 Dodge Journey
bigtsr replied to timo's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Welcome to the forum. Have you tried resetting the TIPM by disconnecting DJ battery for 10 - 15 minutes? Failing that I don't believe individual windows have their own fuse so I would suspect controller/motor for that door seeing that neither switch has control. -

bigtsr replied to journeygal's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Open the hood and have someone actuate washer the hose may have become disconnected and you'll see washer squirting out , simple reconnect. Does the rear still work? -
Largest Mopar gathering in Canada "MOPARFEST" happens this weekend AUGUST 15-16 in New Hamburg Ontario near Stratford. Often upwards of 1800 - 2400 cars new/used/modified with a for sale area and entertainment.

Todays DJ does not have a typical flasher module (not sure about AVP) the signal process is controlled by the TIPM module and the sound is generated by the pcb in the dash.

Radio Sound Problem
bigtsr replied to DHP's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
If your DJ is still within its warranty period/mileage there should be no charge for software update generated as Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). There was a software update some time ago for radios came on at increased volume. Sometimes disconnecting the negative battery cable at the jumper location for 10 - 15 minutes will resolve weird electrical goblins in todays version of the DJ. -
Metallic Rattle @ Rear Passenger Tire Area?
bigtsr replied to aysia's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
The rear pad actuators don't just push in , they must be rotated/screwed back to start position. -

2010 Dodge Journey R/t Stoplight Switch replacement
bigtsr replied to MOSC842's topic in Brake, Chassis & Suspension
I have not ever had one fail so can't speak from experience but if switch and mounting are similar there how to vids for Caravans and Chrysler cars on Youtube go there and search "Dodge brake switch replacement". -
If the battery isn't a defective unit (and they do fail from new) then connection at either the battery or the starter (which has been posted before) are a distinct possibility.
