Welcome to the forum. Which one are you referring to under the hood or behind the glove box door.

clock speeds up
bigtsr replied to tonyb's topic in Audio, Infotainment Navigation, MyGig, UConnect, etc.
Mine has done it from day one. I hear if you do 118 mph you can catch up to it. lol -
Does the rear window washer work? The reason I ask is that it is fed/powered by the same system as the front , so if it works then it has to be front tubing problem.

Welcome to the forum. We have the occasional post for battery drain , there was a past problem with the BCM (body control module) staying active. This was fixed in most posts by having the dealer flash the software covering its operation. One other thing is make sure your not leaving your keyfob too close (within 2 meters/6 feet) to the DJ when not in use. Does the DJ have any aftermarket electronics installed?

Welcome to the forum.

The DJ will tow that as long as it's the V6 , factory tow was electrical/cooling and many on this forum have installed aftermarket hitches/wiring with no posted problems.

That happened a lot in 2011 , Chrysler changed the Uconnect ordering process. This was the year they redefined Uconnect and if you wanted BT it had to be ordered as a separate line item many dealers weren't informed/cared and the dealerships ended up with these Uconnect only DJs.

Didn't see one DJ in those pics - like most from Bama all moonshine and talk!

Welcome to the forum. Forgive him - he just thawed out from a Minnesota winter!

No the brake assys are too big for 15" wheels.

I recall one posted with lights and bush bar and there was one with lights mounted behind the bottom grill work.

I don't recall seeing any posted pics here. Don't forget the DJ is an urban awd and certainly can't be compared to its cousin Jeep.

Urgent! Valve clearance, 2.4 09' DJ
bigtsr replied to Tadek Janczykowski's topic in Engine & Transmission
The 2.4 World Engine was manufactured with solid lifters clearance matched at the factory(unless export was different) so you are looking at replacements. -
Powertrain Warranty Inquiry - Our Beloved 2013 WinterChill Journey
bigtsr replied to 13DODGE's topic in Owner Impressions
They usually would be covered only in the initial warranty of 36k kms. As stated not considered part of power train and consumable as are brakes. -
I've had my DJ 3 yrs 9 months with approx. 90% city driving , the Khumos were replaced last fall at 41,000 kms and I just had rotors/pads replaced for the first time at 50,000 kms (32,500 miles). I can live with it.

Welcome to the forum. We all know what you're talking about with regards to the intake , however the existing design of the DJ air intake path is "cold air lead edge high pressure". Admittedly it could be less restrictive in its path and flow volume but with these highly computerized engine management systems what you're really talking here is about "looking good" hot air under the hood intake.

If it's not a "low tire pressure warning" but a "system failure warning" then either an individual (there are 3) receiver has failed or there is a bus communication failure which would involve a dealer. Try resetting computer by disconnecting battery at negative jumper post for 10 - 15 minutes first.

Electrical issue with 2014 Journey
bigtsr replied to jenniferose88's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
Body Control Module staying active will drain battery. It could relate to communications module involved in fob to vehicle command. -
EGR valve sounds like next best bet as this involves vacuum which will cause surging in idle.

random honking doors unlocking and windows going down
bigtsr replied to roxiekj's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
Welcome to the forum. There have been past posts about similar strange happenings. They have related to the door regulator module or broken wire in the loom between cabin and engine compartment. You may want to try resetting the TIPM/computer link by disconnecting the battery at the negative jumper post for 10 - 15 minutes. -
I agree that if you take the POS off at the battery the cable touching anything is moot. I was assuming (because of the DJs unique battery placement) that Joe Average would try it at the jumper point hence the wrench in the monkey works.

The reasoning is that the vehicle is negative grounded , if your wrench hits bare metal undoing the NEG no big deal while undoing positive is a dead short across the battery source and who knows what you'll screw up along with the sparks.
