The 2.4L World Engine is built with solid (matched at production) lifters
and most that I have run into do have a bit of lifter noise.
In the Caliber they also exhibited what could be injector noise to a certain level.
Sounds as if there is an electrical short/poor connection in the system.
I would quite honestly use the lemon law in your state as this could result
in a dangerous situation , see if it qualifies under Floridas legislation.
The DJ is "AWD not operator designated FULL TIME AWD" such as in
a JEEP product.
Again it only goes into AWD mode when slippage occurs in the primary
FWD wheels although all the running gear in the rear is turning.
You can not turn it on with a selector.
AWD does not engage on the DJ unless a wheel speed sensor
indicates slippage , then the rear wheel control system takes over
and engages the rear drive.
Try using the tranny in manual mode to see if it's present.
This has been a posted fault with the reserve bottle , not much to do
about it except repair/replace.
Mine has started leaking as of yet at 50K kms.
Live in east Burlington.
AHhhh!! the other great myth "FREE HEALTHCARE".BS
It's universal healthcare which means access to it is free to all.
I just renewed mine and it costs me on average $2200.00 CAN per year
and that's with my former employer paying an additional $1500.per year.
When you turn 65 in Ontario your drugs (most) are covered by the province.
Then they in turn tax your payments to your healthcare provider and add
another $300. bucks to your provincial tax yearly.
Does that sound like free???
I assume your talking about the headrests/restraints.
They are all adjustable but I believe '09s sit lower at bottom adjustment
but they are all basically the same.
As for entry height they again are all about the same with the AWD
version varying with the springing used.
Disconnect the battery at the negative jumper connection for 10 minutes
then reconnect,if that doesn't do it retrace your previous work to make
sure you did knock a connecter off in the process.
I would say local to start with as it could a over night
solution as some electrical turn out.
Of course it's up to you and as it is out of warranty
without a loner car your a long way from home.
