  1. Good to hear it's resolved - tnx for reporting resolution.
  2. My DJ when parked in the garage is approx. 6 ft from my wifi router and I have not experienced any problem as you have laid out. It would appear that interference and or a problem with the BCM (body control module) is the culprit. A while back I read a post about a DJ owner with similar experience and he felt it was his cellphone interfering with the fob signal.

    Rubber Mats

Re WeatherTech Canadian Tire/PartsSource (subsidiary) sell them here in Ontario. They have a 1-888-905-6287 number for the HO which is about 6 kms from my house here in Burlington ON.
  4. No he's got the commission and generally marginally successful sales people move on because they don't follow up and keep their existing or past client base happy. I generally buy a new car every 4-5 years at the same dealership since 1984 and I still get calls and greeting cards (albeit corporate) on a year to year basis.
  5. Yes I have read posts about the low gas starting also but have never let it get that low to verify that happening.
  6. You always replace plugs as a complete set. If you are going to do it - do it right the first time. The coil packs being more costly it's ok to replace the bad one only they are either good or bad.

    Rubber Mats

There is also the "HUSKY" brand mats availiable for the DJ. Cheaper than WeatherTech and more industrial in appearance but every bit as good I bought a set for my sons Caravan.
  8. The VW engine used in Europe export DJs sometimes goes into limp mode because of a bad EGR assembly according to posts I have read. There are no diesel DJs in NA that's why help regarding the engine are few and far between.
  9. Yes mine comes on when below freezing along with rear window defrost and the side view mirror heat.
  10. I would suggest if you can't unlock it using the inside door switch that it's an electrical problem. I would first try disconnecting the battery at the negative jumper point for 10-15 minutes to reset the TIPM to see if that is where the problem originates. 2014 model should still be covered for true electrical problems.
  11. They have been using the plug coil packs for a while as I had them on my 2007 Caliber , lot easier to troubleshoot misfires.
  12. If those are the original TPM valve stems then they gave reasonable service life for that year. There have been a number of them that have cracked/failed within your timeframe. They change the design/material in 2011 to circumvent this problem.
  13. Access to the coil packs on the Pentastar is not that easy as as it is a transverse mounted V6 , the cover however is easy to remove and sits on ball and socket pressure points , just lift straight up and take a good look at the mounts.
  14. Usually the owners manual will give a fuse designation chart. Try resetting the TIPM by disconnecting the battery for 1--20 minutes. Have any aftermarket electronics been added to the DJ?
  15. Jags run those damn rubber bands the trendies call tires anything thicker than a human hair causes a bump.
  16. The cables to the rear are generally close to the body (shell) panels. You might try disconnecting the DJ battery at the negative jumper access point for about 10-20 minutes and see if the TIPM reset resolves your problem. Maybe remove the screws used to secure fire ext.
  17. Ramp to ramp jumps are hard on rims!
  18. Happens in all wx conditions. By the way Lobitz68 Minnesota is further north than where the most populous part of Canada lies - southern Ontario.
  19. Could not have auto start feature - first clench!!!!!!!!! Sorry that would take 2 clenches - read the manual -lol
  20. Like all the black cars I have owned - look great for 15 minutes or first rainfall -lol
  21. Operative word was "BUMPS" and the reason for my suggestion.
  22. The 4 cyl used in these vehicles (World Engine starting 2007) require OE plugs changed every 30,000 kms so start there. Read the codes stored to see if it is a particular plug coil assy.
  23. Again as I said "the driver makes the difference". You can have the biggest, best awd in the world and if you don't have experience to reference to you will be a crappy driver in the element.
  24. I just an article on MSN news about the 35 worst automotive recalls - not a Chrysler product in the lot.
