  4. If your front tires grip better than the rear and you brake let say on a down slope your rear end may end up doing complete 360. Different tire features such as traction capabilities on a like surfaces can play havoc on AWD vehicles systems.
  5. Make sure you change the cabin filter (behind the glovebox) it may be saturated with doggy odour.
  6. Welcome to the forum. You do not need TPMS on your winter tires the DJ will ignore the lack of them and come spring just put your all seasons back and the TPMS will be back in operation. I don't use winter tires myself but I am sure there are many members who can suggest what they have used.
  7. I have driven Chysler products exclusively since 1984 both in a daily driver and for for business and despite a few quirks that I found minimal or were quickly resolved I have never had an engine or transmission failure. Mopar or no car!
  8. Or you could buy a smelly dog yourself and blame it!
  9. Or you may have to set your cellphone Bluetooth to "DISCOVERABLE" some models have a timed discoverable time period after which they can not be seen by the device you are pairing them with.
  10. No it only specs factory build items not add-ons which is the category your camera falls in even though it's essentially what comes with the DJ if factory ordered.
  11. They are integrated with the airbag system electrically. They only actuate when/if you are rear ended having said that people have replaced them in the past but you may have electrical problems/signage indicating problems. Much easier to buy a capable tablet and fix it to the seat with Velcro.
  12. While I understand this may not be applicable in this instance FYI: A point to remember is that the DJ DRLs are only actually "ON" that is powered when the gear select is in Drive. Turning the headlights on and putting it in Park getting out to check will result in no lit DRL.
  13. If you kept your window sticker check that , mine says flex fuel but I don't have the back "FLEXFUEL" badge either.
  14. I was going to go with an expensive all weather tire as my Khumos are over 3 yrs old but then decided that my typical winter driving does not command 2 sets of tires/rims hanging around. I have not owned a set of snow tires since 1968 and since I am retired if it's that bad out I just stay home. I just bought a set of 225/65/17 Michelin Defenders installed all in for $725.00 with free rotation every 10000 kms at Green & Ross that should last 3 - 4 yrs. The Khumos are 1/10 above the wear bars.
  15. At least the DJ isn't acting up!!! Life moves on.
  16. First oil change can be at mileage you personally feel comfortable then depending how you drive and what environment you do the majority of your mileage in and if you use synthetic oil you may set changes to what you feel comfortable with. Many of us older drivers are every 5000 guys I know I am , in any case if the change oil comes on do it.
  17. OP doesn't indicate model year - my original fob battery only lasted 2 yrs and I have better things to play with than fob.
  18. It's the tranny gear selector switch could be worn/dirty?
  19. So busy hands can't get at my $$$$$ of ham radio gear.
  20. Welcome to the forum. Lots of info here with regards to real-time owner experience.
  21. Welcome to the forum. DJ looks great!
