    hey all

    Welcome to the forum!
  3. Some past posts regarding similar problems have pointed such things as rear drive unit seal leaking and the fact that 4WD units are tire size sensitive i.e. low pressure/mismatched sizing.
  4. Balancing and rotation are generally not covered unless you had a specific agreement with your dealer at time of purchase.
  5. Areas that might be cause of vibration/shimmy in the past posts are warped rotors , brake pad hung up (not retracting) ,poorly torqued wheel nuts ,tire failure (broken radial belt) and recently posted a build up of dirt between the rim and chrome cladding on wheel rims.
  6. From posts covering cruise control one of the faults that causes intermittent operation is a bad wheel speed sensor so you might want to check those out.
  7. There is a 2009 parts manual PDF file on this site which should list all numbers - I can't remember what forum it's in but it is here. It was posted by BC owner I think "ARMAGEDON" was his user name.
  8. I don't know how different the ignition interlock system is on the DJ but my previous Dodge Caliber had an interlock cable from gearshifter to steering wheel assy. To make a long story short reports quite similar were remedied by rotating the steering wheel against the locking mechanism. In several instances the cable required adjustment when this was happening often.
  9. Strange marketing - I was of the opinion that all had both working but maybe CVP model does not as incentive to upgrade purchase.
  10. I am not a mechanic but a bad 02 sensor will give you codes and MIL light in dash display and have never heard of one starting a fire. The PTO unit will get very hot when lubrication/clutch assys overheat and it has been posted before that they can burn up.
  11. The radiator cap on my '11 DJ V6 is located in the coolant collection bottle and according to the parts manual I have the number 04596198 CAP RADIATOR. The seal cap on the actual radiator is listed as non serviced item from manufacturer.
  12. I don't understand why if the fob has left the car that the alarm ding ding ding didn't alert you, mine is loud enough to hear 5ft from the DJ.
  13. Tnx for posting back with the solution. I am going to crawl under and check mine although I have not experienced rusty water droppings to date.
  14. If you want to see if you have a particular brake that is hanging up I suggest you try some hard stops with "skid control" turned off. I thought I had one and when I did this sure enough the one I suspected locked up while three other braked smoothly - it was a defective rotor that they replaced under warranty.
  15. It will be interesting to see installation and results. Chrysler VVT engines are hard to coax more hp out because of the computer driven tune, you may experience better gas consumption due to less restriction along with more noise because of draw down. Most of todays cars have cold air intakes from the factory at least cooler than under hood air so if you can capture airflow from factory inlet path you may gain better performance.

    Hi all.

    Welcome to the forum.
  17. Yes I am on Caliberforumz , I was one of the founding members in 2006.
  18. Redtomatoman that procedure is for shutting DJ down in emergency while driving i.e. floor mat jams accelerator pedal.
  19. My '11 SXT works the same way with regards to ACC and I guess it can be a pia for someone who uses it a lot.
  20. There was a software flash for hard shifts 2011 or 2012 as I recall. You may want to open a complaint with Chrysler and check other dealers as they are not all cut from the same cloth.
  21. Yes always serviced by same Mopar dealer both personal and business.
  22. Yes welcome to the forum. You can try a system reset by unhooking the DJ battery at the negative jumper terminal and let it sit for 10-15 minutes reattach and see if it cures the problem.
  23. Call Chrysler customer hotline and open a complaint file with regards to your problem and/or find another dealer. Numerous other owners experienced this and had reflash done no charge.
  24. Yes the premium sound system amp is under the passenger seat.
