  1. Welcome ! I would have thought the Crossroad model would have come with AutoHeadlight feature, check the headlight switch as that's where it has been in the past.
  2. Sounds about right load/speeds,I am quite sure it could do better with lower speeds but that's an drivers prerogative point.
  3. None of the DJs manufactured to date have rear hatch auto open functionality. Standard fob has at most lock/unlock(with 2 front windows down long 2nd press), auto start and panic alarm. With only 1 fob it usually takes a dealer to set up a second "new" fob.
  4. I have had mine almost 3 yrs and it does not do this, again a dealer that is not willing to go the extra mile. Find a good mechanic have it re-routed or an extension added to it and divert the water path.
  5. I as far I know the possibility of it running for 9hrs is a near impossibility as the system has a 15 minute timer built in. It also will only remote start two times in a given period of time, yes mine remote started one day in my garage when I leaned against the counter top in the kitchen so I know it can happen. It would appear that remote was activated a number of times over 9 hrs.
  6. I honestly don't know if it is possible. There are stand alone dvd players availiable and some people have used 10 inch tablets fixed to the seatback for dvd/games.
  7. That's why PAYPAL is the way to go when dealing with any cyber sale. Dispute resolution and a feeling of increased security, has not failed me in many purchases on the net.
  8. Seriously before you play with the headrests again disconnect the car battery at the negative jumper post or you could end up with a facefull of airbag. The headrests (restraints) in fact have a minney airbag in them and when activated they blow out to protect your neck/head.
  9. The wiring is for the active head restraints which are part and parcel of the airbag system. Hope you don't start having problems with warnings popping up.
  10. Yes I had the passenger side break, I attributed it to my wifes need (short legs) to sit on the edge as she gets in the DJ. My side is good as I am tall and sit directly on the seat when getting in. At first I used Gorilla Glue to re-attach the piece of plastic that broke but a month later it broke again. I then used a heavy duty plastic tie wrap and drilled 2 small holes in the cover and tie wrapped it to the steel support and it has been fine for over a year.
  11. I was understanding that the (OE) "CHROME" wheels were all cladded on the DJ at this point in time,so plastic chrome coated. Are these what you have?
  12. Google "2009 Dodge Journey owners manual" or read the one that came (IF) with it as it explains about the keys. You need 2 fobs to program them yourself.
  13. You may be hearing the fuel injectors actuating - often mistaken for lifter noise.
  14. I would suggest you could paint the cover and if done properly with lets say KRYLON plastic specific paint it would be easier to maintain it with regards to dust/dirt removal. I have seen many painted covers at car meets some of which cost $500-$1000 for custom colour/graphics. The factory finish is a dust magnet without a doubt.
  15. The large engine cover just lifts straight up and off so it can be cleaned out the engine bay. The secret is to not let it get to this point by wiping it down semi annually at least , I pop the cover off and use a damp rag quarterly. Looks as if you work in a quarry or went for a dip in Fanshawe Lake.
  16. None made DJ specific but the Avenger version can be adapted. Top of the page put "CAI"/"COLD AIR INTAKE" in search box and it will give you all that's posted here.
  17. Drive to Detroit and find a car stereo shop. I would take some canned air and blow it out first as it could be just dust like I had in one of my Caravans.
  18. I have a Samsung TAB 3 8.0 which if and when I need gps is held on my sunvisor with 2 ginormous elastic bands , it has the best gps receiver I have ever used.
  19. Don't worry Terry it will warm up soon and you can polish the DJ , Pontiac and the kayaks.
  20. Fellow on my street just came home with one 2 weeks ago.
  21. I have the v6 but I tend to be a hyper-miler mixed with moments of NHRA madness. My mixed milage numbers (90-95%) city driving over the winter have averaged 11.9 L/100km but the last 2 fillups have shown individual improvment so that should go down to 10.9/11.0 for the summer.
  22. Well first hand wash of the new year - no new door dings at least. Here's a pic of the roof rail done with Wipe New last September. I am happy as all the blacks are sparkling black after the brutal winter.
