  1. The office is at 1164 Walkers Line in Burlington just north of the QEW. Google WeatherTech.ca
  2. Why would one buy carpeted all weather floor savers if the initial idea is to not having to clean carpeted surfaces? I'll stick with the WeatherTechs as they have a distribution point 6 kilometers from my house.
  3. By the looks of it the monitor is the replacement for the rearview mirror.
  4. No you can move the hooks quite easily - I bought the WeatherTechs with 1 hole and just moved the one closest to the door over.
  5. Batteries in Chrysler products I have owned (many) have averaged 3.5 to 5 years before needing to be replaced. Do you have any aftermarket electronics added to the DJ? Several instances of people with the so called rust inhibitor modules have been going thru batteries like cake at a fat convention.
  6. Depends on the dealer or Chrysler dealer programs but as a general rule they are not covered.
  7. Abs experience the first time can be scary. Pulling one way or the other is not the norm , on a uniform patch of ice it should be straight as an arrow providing you have the steering wheel in neutral direction. The idea is that with the brakes lock full on you can steer in the direction desired while ABS essentially pumps the brakes. It is normal for the car to feel like it's going to shake itself to pieces.
  8. Your NEVER an ex-ham - the ticket is yours til you croak!
  9. When this crappy wx is over and I detail the DJ the tale will be told with regards to durability of Wipe New - until then it's just another dirty crossover.
  10. Rolly it still is as black as when I applied it although I must confess I haven't washed the DJ very much this winter.

    A hello

Welcome to the forum. I am sure by reading you will be a informed buyer.
  12. That's the way the process should happen - too bad it's not the norm.
  13. Did they indicate the build dates of those reporting failures? Not all dealers perform TSBs as they are meant to and not all owners have the train of thought to note minor indications that might trigger a tsb at a good dealer.
  14. Once the fob is back in the car the EVIC warning should stop , at least it does in mine.
  15. I agree with most of his comments about apples and oranges - his last paragraph is his allowable rant just as Journey41 had his in his post. Have driven both and there distinct differences and as a non off-roader urban driver I really like the Cherokee where as guys on the Jeep forum tend to be hardcore users with different standards. Again there are usually only 3 type of people on car forums happy dedicated , pissed off unhappy and people stuck with questions looking for help. Usually not good to get in a pissing match.
  16. The Cherokee Sport also comes with a 9 speed transmission in the 3.2 version.
  17. I realize this is easy for me to say but "FIND ANOTHER DEALER" Having said that I know geography and locale sometimes make this a chore but my first instinct is that the dealer you have now is either lazy or just doesn't care.
  18. Ok then it's either the TPMS signal receiver or it's associated wiring , I don't know for a fact that the TIPM(voltage/current/power/bus management) could turn it off but that's always a third possibility in todays current Chrysler product. Seeing that it's '13 I would definitely try to have the warranty come into play.
  19. Sounds strange - water + cold = ice , so where's the water coming from? Try parking in a different spot or back in instead of driving in to see if it's environment or just where you park.
  20. Firstly the battery in the fob is not warranted and it's a 2 buck item at the dollar store. My fob battery lasted 2-1/2 yrs then the DJ evic told me it was getting low. If I remember there is a post stating that a forum took his battery out to try it and it did work , it's done with RFID chip technology.
  21. "it keeps flashing when I start my car" Are you talking about the tire symbol at start or a message that you have a low tire? They all flash on boot check in the display on initial start.
  22. I usually replace OEM tires when vehicle hits 3 yrs on the road irregardless of what they appear/have left on them and this August I will most likely go with Hankook Optima 4S AllWeather. The Kuhmos have done well but they are soft and by fall they need replacement mostly due to my slightly aggressive starts prompted by the Pentastar.
  23. My '11 DJ has a setting under climate that (to me and that's my setting) will blow heat down to feet and up to windshield , seems to work.
