  1. Strange occurrence as I think it has been posted once before, I appreciate not everyone is capable of doing this but my first effort in this case would be disconnecting the negative(-) cable from the battery boost point for about 5-10 minutes in an effort to reset the TIPM as it may save a tow/dealer cost.
  2. We had that ability when I bought my '07 Caliber in April of '06. We could track it thru the assy process and the shipping path right to the delivery point.
  3. Gas mileage no matter what terms of reference you use are influenced by many factors wx,temps, vehicle condition, other drivers but quite considerably by you. This tank EVIC is showing 10.9L/100km with 50-50 split city/hwy at temps of -15 C to -22 C but I will believe only what and when I calculate after next fill.
  4. The owners manual tells you how to bypass the shifter locking solenoid as I stated in post #3 this thread , don't have the manual download it from Chrysler/Dodge.com .
  5. It is also possible that it is the door stop/hold detent and roller assy. My roller has a flat spot and makes a discernable noise when I open the door so I lubricate heavily with white lithium grease which helps.
  6. Well I have never heard it that loud but one thing that actuates when you step on the brake is the shift lever locking solenoid. It is located in the console and it sounds as if it has come loose , it is accessible thru the console in the storage area.
  7. As I stated in another thread the EVIC screen in my "11 DJ notified me that the fob battery needed replacement. Have you seen that screen?
  8. It is possible to change but Chrysler wants a bundle of cash for it. Some owners have successfully exchanged with units for sale on Ebay that are from China , possibly use search feature on forum to find instances or someone who has done it will chime in.
  9. Mine does this also and a number of other '11 owners have reported this , I rely on my cellphone for the time as I haven't worn a watch in 15 years.
  10. The uconnect screen should turn off after approx. 2 minutes if you remain in the DJ , if you open the door after turning engine off the screen should disappear immediately.
  11. Could be be as simple as snow build up in wheels , goto a do it yourself carwash and hose the tire assys down thoroughly wit h high pressure spray.
  12. Air pressure has no significant ties to tire size. 38 lbs is 38 lbs .
  13. I have experienced the very occasional single ding with no EVIC message or notification in the "messages" area , I think I have finally found the linking action for this behavior. I noticed this week when I would passively unlock the DJ by touching the driver door handle briefly then not opening the drivers door but instead opening the drivers side rear door first to put something in the rear that when I came to get in the drivers door that I would experience random sound alerts (dings).
  14. In 2001 your fob wasn't always interacting with your vehicle as these newer models do , everytime you approach your DJ the fob and the body control module are sensing and even more so if you take advantage of the remote start feature.
  15. If the battery in your fob is low the EVIC screen will show a pic of the fob and will display "BATTERY LOW" , just had that happen on my '11 DJ. I have not experienced this personally but even if the fob battery is toast you can start and drive the DJ by pushing the the "start" button the non key end of the fob as it supposedly has an RFID chip in the fob.
  16. As for android there are a number of fones that work, I am using a HTC Incredible S with Froyo 2.21 on my '11 4.3 Uconnect and it is flawless.
  17. Yes the oil filler cap on my '11 DJ shows 5w30 as well.
  18. 3 on my street including mine and it's not unusual to see quite a few when out and about shopping.
  19. I bought mine at Canadian Tire and it was cheaper than NAPA.
  20. You do not need the TPMS sensors in the winter wheels as the DJ will after a few kilometers stop reading it and stop dash signals.
  21. Every new car sold in Canada comes with a block heater.
  22. I had my first vehicle notification pop up today! The chime sounded and the evic screen read "Keyfob battery low", I have been using the same fob for 2-1/4 years. Pried open the fob and replaced the CR2032 lithium and all is good.
  23. The metric readout always starts high on the right side as you accelerate and once you reach speed it moves to left indicating less Liters/100 Kilometers.
  24. Generally you should have one of these seatbelt clamps, they usually come with seat sometimes affixed to rear of childs carseat.
