On my 4.3 system I go to settings menu/display/units. This allows metric US change.

I think he means more of a "How I did it and remembered to take pics" section, you could always post URLs to commercially available mod/upgrade kits so as not to fill up server space.

Key not detected
bigtsr replied to walker's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Key Fobs, Locks & Remote Start
According to experience and owners manual it is scanning/sensing for the fob continuously with regards to the RFID chip in the fob. Once you open the door via passive unlock it then institutes start alert sequence. -
Well on the 2011 it is called "Panel Lower Fascia" and is part # 05178283AC. Not having the parts book for the '09 maybe this will help you tho.

Iphone 5 with uconnect

When I paired my HTC Incredible it did the same thing, I deleted the pairing and did it again and this time a box came up (you have to tick) and it said ALLOW UPLOADING OF PHONEBOOK. Worked like a charm. I also had a problem with "0000" code so changed to "2002" at the same time. -
Congrats-welcome and enjoy your new DJ.

Amp/Sub

Try turning on BOTH your hearing aids. LOL Seriously I can't have mine above the 15 mark or it's just too loud,I am not an audio enthusiast so can't say it's great audio but it's loud. At the 20 mark you can hear it 30 feet from the DJ with windows all closed. -
The DTE is a product of the EVIC alogorythm that is shown as L/KM. Sometimes when I park the DJ (terrain influence) that DTE has changed, again calibration of the fuel level in the tank. Right now my fuel log kms versus liters shows me that DTE is wrong as shown in the EVIC. Rolly in your case 78-58=20 liters left,my log would say my DTE was approx 160 kms. I know your local drive terrain is quite flat but is your driveway/garage level. As a born and raised Windsorite I am sure my fuel figs would be better/more consistent than here in Burlington.

I agree that these (or some of them) are somewhat hinky. Mine on fill-up just barely touches "F" most times. I don't think it's a hardware problem as much as as a software/calibration problem.

I don.t know if it's common practice in all builds in the Chrysler product line but when my last 2 Mopars (Caravan Caliber) hit "E" with the low fuel light on the tank still had 6-7 liters in it. It was explained to me that this was protection for the fuel pump located in the tank, fuel (believe or not) is used as a coolant for the pump. It was a 74 liter tank and I very seldom got more than 65-67 liters in. If you overfill your system it starts to flood the evap recovery system which can damage components, give codes and cost money to repair.

I would simply follow hood washer lines back to source and disconnect both source and hood outlets. Take compressed air to clear hoses reconnect and test,if they still don't spray I would assume it's the spray nozzles at fault.

I keep a fuel/maintenance log also and after my first full calendar year of driving the DJ JAN/01/12 to DEC/31/12 with 95% city driving it has worked out to 20 mpg US or 24 mpg CAN. Total expense (gas/oil/etc) 16.1 cents/km.

Debating... 2012 SXT or 2013 SE? HELP!!
bigtsr replied to love-pink's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Competing Products
You should drive both the 4 cyl and the 6 cyl with real road expereince-I can asure you that will solidify your decision. The 4 only is marginally better mpg than the 6 and you don't say if your tow anything or general usage, believe me these are important factors in your decision. -
Is there any sign of washer fluid dripping under DJ? Does rear washer work? You can disconnect hose near supply/outlets under hood to see if it/where blockage is located or 813 miles have the dealer take care of it.

Yes if you want more realistic numbers don't reset the L/KM as longterm averaging comes into play. The only time to reset it is if you wish to find out what EVIC is reporting for a particular stretch of road. The most reliable way to calculate is still the manual fill to fill method kms versus liters used manually.

Yes lapses in driving skills are not defined by sex-it's just that women are huge multi-taskers and tend to be thinking of something else.

If you have the problem print it out and show it to your dealers service dept.-do it nicely if nothing else it will show them it exists.

2012 Journey Crew 3.6L - battery problems
bigtsr replied to slskene's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
The build date is on the drivers door it shows as MDH or Month-Day-Hour. TSBs don't get mailed to owners it is internal facility notice dealers usually driven by specific customer complaint and VIN # associated to that vin number. -
2012 Journey Crew 3.6L - battery problems
bigtsr replied to slskene's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
All these solutions are garbage-in the past there was a problem with this happening and there was a TSB for a flash to the Body Control Module which was staying awake instead of shutting down after ignition was turned off. This was posted on this board previously, the passive entry sense with regards to key distance is set to about 1.5 meters (abt 5 ft) so I doubt that is doing it. Call customer service and complain about your stupid dealer and for goodness sake Detroit is full of other dealers. -
Checked mine this am and idles when warmed up between 550-625 rpm.

Congrats on the the delivery rolly enjoy it!

If I want to open the hatch I use the release button on the hatch. It unlocks/locks all doors from that location.

All the fobs have a battery in them and I would say that is the basic place to start with diagnostic. The fob just pries apart-read the owners manual.

Yes can appreciate your frustration as not exactly an easy trip to local dealer in ThunderBay or Winnipeg for secondary help in reaching satisfaction.
