It's a single 3" approx. pipe up to the spare tire which splits at that point to each muffler. The pentastar has the headers actually built into each head/cam/rocker assy so individual header are most likely not possible.

"$69 Dodge Journey Chip 60 H.P Increase"

By chance is your DJ the 4 cyl version? -
I believe you interpeted what I was stating incorrectly,I agree with you as that's exactly how my DJ shifts when using manual mode. I was simply saying that during upshifting (at least mine) won't go into 6th manually until I am at approx 63km/hr,it will flash the 6 in display but revert to 5.
-
Absolutely right with 6th gear change, I have found that it won't change unless I am doing approx 63 km/hr. I use manual mode quite often in the city to slow or anticipate traffic light changes or in heavier traffic to save on braking.

On the earlier Dodge Caliber models you could re-calibrate the gas pedal linearity by placing ignition to RUN but not start the car, then counting slowly to abt 15 slowly depress gas pedal to floor then release slowly all the way up. Turn ignition to off wait abt 10 minutes and restart. This got rid of any hesitation off the line and seemed to provide better acceleration. I tried it on the DJ but it appeared to make no noticeable change. -
No without pressing info it only shows the freq i.e. 102.9. When info is pressed it shows like this: Classic Rock 102.9-Lennon the 2nd line will change to indicate song title then go back to previous display. The info screen will stay on thru all station changes until you manually clear it or turn radio off.
-
No I realize what part you were talking about and that's why I said you would have to repaint it back to black with something such as Krylon which is made to fuse with plastic.
-
Your right with alternate freqs however my 4.3 does show name of station and if you press INFO button shows song/artist.
-
Depends on how deep the scratches are! Minor ones should polish out with FINE rubbing compound, deep ones may require a body work additive(putty) such as GreenStuff and a repaint with something such as Krylon.
-
Most car makers use 3M advanced adhesives nowdays, I know my Dodge Caliber was all held on with 3M. If they were to be "bolted" on the dental floss will break.
-
Probably nothing more than trim and standard features. I think you can be sure the running gear is identical, the difference with regard to noise levels from different sources is the extras in the drive train.
-
Has anyone tried to source BREMBO brakes for the DJ? Heavy duty and race bred, most likely not a cheap alternative. Tirerack is a vendor I believe.
-
Here is one way to go about it,if you want inbuilt you need deep pockets. That's why a lot of people use external systems. http://www.interfacingthefuture.com/2011/08/oem-vehicle-integration.html

Possibly it's the routing of the pipes required by AWD components. My FWD is dead quiet at all speeds.

2012 Journey Crew 3.6L - battery problems
bigtsr replied to slskene's topic in Electrical, Battery & Charging
In the past there was an issue with the body control module staying active and draining the battery. As for not recognizing the fob that could also be low battery or bad SKREEM. -
I suspect you have already hit the mfrs website for info. Possibly you should tackle the rewire yourself if you feel confident and do it according to the instructions. Who knows the guy that wired it treated it like house wiring where green is ground.
-
All the fwd Chrysler products I have driven have demostrated torque steer to some degree, you should try driving Caliber SRT4 in stock configuration.
-
Yes and the remote start can also be a PIA.
-
Both my fobs work with Panic button,I thought it was standard op on all Chrysler cars at least it has always worked on every one I've owned.

I would say that the TIPM had deactivated the tail lights but usually (past experience) it would require a reset (dealer) or disconnect of battery to return things to normal. Its senses any overcurrents.

Remote Not Rolling Down Windows
bigtsr replied to SueBOhio's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
Yeah no one asked me! What maybe an engineer in Auburn had a bad window experience. There is a knack to using them when you want to inch them down/up but I am sure past brake and software issues should take first consideration. -
1yr and 27,000 miles and still loving my journey
bigtsr replied to 2late4u's topic in Owner Impressions
" i am starting to notice a slight shuddering again when brakeing from a high speed or going down steep hills" I tend to use Manual mode when do these particular things as it easier on the brakes overall. I have had my first warranty claim on the brakes however, a woman sailed thru a red light smack in front of me and had to slam/lockup the brakes to avoid broadsiding her. It completely messed up the driver front rotor as it had a huge blurred/burned ring after. The dealer replaced pads and rotor under warranty the rest were alright and look normal. Long story shortened is that I brake lightly and gear down whenever I can. -
WeatherTech Mats and Cargo Liner
bigtsr replied to forcedintoit's topic in Accessories, Modifications
I have the WeatherTechs but you should also consider Husky Liners as they are cheaper and provide the same coverage as WeatherTechs.
