  1. In the past it has being called the "rear diffuser panel", possibly an inquiry at your local Chrysler dealer parts counter would verify this as they have visual parts listings.
  2. Will only turn off automatically if you have and use the remote start and then after 15 minutes.
  3. Your absolutely right it doesn't cover the edge lip. There are a few on existing Chrysler products already in production that can be ordered and modified that have the lip cover but these are prohibitively priced. Some are also seemingly availiable from overseas but then again shipping and the fact that some won't ship to NA. This suits my needs and was reasonably priced.
  4. The Powerflow has a graceful arc to it and if you dry fit it you will find it covers the OEM moulding quite well and it is flexible.
  5. My 2011 SXT also has express up/down on both driver and passenger windows.
  6. Have you tried Princess Auto or The Parts Source?
  7. If you have no luck at Cantire you can goto Action Car & Truck I know for a fact they carry it,it's made by PowerFlow. http://www.actiontrucks.com/locations_retail.php

    Sightings

I have been told and believe by my daily sightings of DJs that on a per capita basis more are sold here in Canada than anywhere else.
  9. It sounds as though you have your problem in hand and after all is said and done that's what warrantees are for "stuff happens". All Journeys/Fiat Freemonts are assembled in Mexico. I have driven Chrysler products exclusively since 1984 and have never had a seal leakage with the exception of a rocker cover gasket on a '90 Caravan.
  10. Sweatshirt probably absorbs/muffles/dampens the sound but wouldn't hurt to check the spring as mentioned by tanboxer in post #14.
  11. Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum.
  12. The bumper protecter I use covers 90% of the bumper it's only $38.00 and availible at Cantire. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?/gallery/image/516-dj5/
  13. If it is indeed the rubber causing the squeaking you can buy a silicon base rubber/weather strip treatment/lubricant and apply it with a Q-tip to see if that quiets it down. You might want to try taking a thin slice of quality hand soap and rub it in the rubber grove, I have a clothes dryer that the rubber drive belt starts squeaking every 6 months and handsoap shuts it up.
  14. I am running latest verion of IE still a problem.

    Rear View Mirror

Yes I have noticed this also,it seems to be every 2 weeks and I am the only one driving the DJ.
  16. Same problem here as of the last few weeks-thought it was my puter!
  17. Are you applying the brakes when this occurs? Does it occur if you use manual mode and downshift manually?
  18. Congrats - there is a whole thread dedicated to towing and hitches I would suggest you read it as there many aspects to the different owner experiences.
  19. Congrats on the purchase, welcome to the forum.
  20. Cam sensors will turn on check engine light but not sure what they would have to do with traction control. 15000 miles so you have had at least 2 oil changes and unless you have them done at a dealer (I may be wrong) putting the wrong viscosity oil in will play havoc with a VVT engine giving you varied faults. Let us know whats found.
  21. There are really only 3 kinds of posters on automotive forums: 1 Really happy owners who are usually the appearance modders. Little annoyances don't bother them much as long as it starts every time. 2 Really unhappy owners who need a place to vent where unlike their dealers no one shrugs their shoulders and says we can't help. p.s. these people are sometimes formerly happy owners who went too far with their mods. 3 Those who don't know about car forums and have no place to vent or get help. Watch out for these people on the highway! That is until they find us.
  22. Not a lot of weight in the hood assembly as it's aluminum. Possibly if your fixated on struts the suppliers have bolt-on assys.
  23. Give it sometime to shake (pun) the bugs out. Get some milage on it,preferably a moderate road trip if possible. Generally 5000-10000 km total will reveal most genuine concerns which you should have noted by your selling dealer. Get that first oil change at 3000-5000 kms. Mine had a slight vibration and clunked occasionally R to D but at 10000 km has disappeared.
  24. Yes I noted the sensitity while washing it just hosing it down with the fob in my pocket or sitting on the driveway guard wall trips the system. There was an owner who had developed the habit of leaving the keyfob in previous vehicle (locked garage) so her kids could use it,she could not figure out why the DJs dash lights would flash randomly. Turned out removing fob to a hook on wall resolved it.
