  1. I test drove a 2010 with the 2.4/4spd auto and it was in estimation like pushing a marshmellow with a rope,I had a Caliber 2.0/CVT at the time and with the 500 lb weight difference added in I was disappointed. The dash finish was also not what I was looking for-glad I waited for 2011's and bought a Pentastar/6 spd.
  2. Thanks,I'll have to try all the features again. I personally don't see it as a major sticking point but raised my curiousity level.
  3. I always carried my keys either in my pants pocket or if wearing jeans I would hang them from a carabiner off a belt loop. Having said that I accidently leaned against the kitchen cupboard abt 3 wks ago and hit the "remote startbutton " 2x. My garage is located beneath my kitchen and when going down to the family room I could hear the car running. Garage was full of fumes needless to say I don't carry them anymore.
  4. Gamezone-weather on a 4.3 system!!!!!!! Something new for 2012 or am I missing something on my 2011 4.3? Take a picture of the screen showing this and post it.
  5. I have only been on here for abt 2 months and don't recall seeing any posts regarding this issue. If your still in warranty and haven't been the cause of the problem I would suspect a defective hinge assy should be covered, possibly the spring itself is replaceable.
  6. Is this what you are referring to with regards to spring? It's purpose is to hold open at set detents in the arm.
  7. Yes I am afraid the change is permanent-I grew up in Windsor and my grandfather was born in Detroit.
  8. Welcome to the forum. Detroit to Augusta wow big change in weather and attitudes! lol
  9. I know nothing about the '09s but it may be as simple as a switch mounted on the emergency brake assy being or out of adjustment. The switch would be normally open when the brake is off, possibly it's loose or going bad,I would physically look at the assy to visually identify. See if it's loose!
  10. I believe you will pay a price for electing AWD as your choice of power train. I just past 2200 km on my FWD SXT and evic is reporting 10.7 for 90% city. Of course I drive like an old guy and very seldom drive over posted limits and even though the Pentastar will leave most at the lights I have refrained form doing it in the search of gas economy. I intend to switch to Mobile 1 at 5000 km.
  11. When I had my Caliber and was on the Caliberforumz it stated the Caliber SRT4 rotors and brakes were derived from the Charger Police package. I believe the specs are still posted on that forum and a search there will give you the specs.
  12. I am not trying to be sarcastic but "Google" will give amazing results for questions. Try the URL for info re sound system. http://www.alpine-usa.com/company/press/general/2011/alpine-electronics-supplies-premium-branded-audio-system-to-2011-dodge-vehicles/
  13. If you Google" 2011 dodge journey gross weight" you find it says 3793 lbs for fwd.
  14. Here is the bumper guard I settled on made by PowerFlow and cost $38.00 CAN. While it doesn't cover as much as I would like it will provide some protection.
  15. I have not experienced this situation yet on my June built DJ with only th 4.3 radio. I was checking the programming and found that the setting for speed compensated volume was set to "OFF" and I left it at that setting. Has anyone tried turning that to OFF to see if it's related to the problem?
  16. Battery placement in the DJ is a bit on the ridiculous side. It's located under the air filter (3.6 Pentastar) behind the left front wheel. Not exactly do it yourself friendly. My last Mopar battery ('07 Caliber) lasted 5 yrs.but my past experience has been a 3yr average life and if you live in a very warm climate expect shorter life.

    Floor mats

Is the hook attached to anything or is it just held in place by the hole in the carpet? The hook assy is all 1 piece with it snapping closed at its frontmost part. The carpeting has 2 holes in it to accomodate the hook. I placed the Weathertech mat in position and marked the hole position on the carpeting with a piece of chalk, pried up the doorsill cover(2 snapfits) then cut the marked hole, then used the hook assy to determine the #2 holes position then cut it out with tile knife. As for placing Weathertech or Husky liners just on top of existing carpet and hooks you may have an insurance problem if you have an accident due to liner moving and jamming gas peddle.I know probably won't happen but for 10-15 minutes work I prefer my solution.
  18. As far back as I can recall all car doors have bottom drain holes. Possibly your outer window seal has failed and therefore the water in the door. Take the sticker off or move it to allow the door to drain as it should.

Well the hole in the Weathertech has a high molded rim around it to stop captured water from draining out to the carpet. If you just cut 2 holes in the mat (I thought abt it) then the water can drain to the carpet thru those holes. Up to you-pays your money takes your chances! Really it took me 10-15 minutes to move the hook, just leave the one closest to the hump where it is as it doesn't cause any problems.

    Floor mats

I just moved the mathook closest to the drivers door to the center and bought the WeatherTechs.
  21. My '11 June built SXT has the new fascia front/back and I think thet are really distinctive looking although one guy in the mall parking lot asked me if it was a new Mitsubushi model for 2012.
  22. I have 2 hooks on the drivers side only. I did not want to wait for the 2 hook version so what I did was move the hook closest to the door to where it needed to be for use with the single hole WeatherTech. The door sill just pops off straight up then you can reach under the carpeting to release the catch on the hook. Put in the WeatherTech liner and mark the hole with a piece of chalk(I used my grandaughters sidewalk chalk) then cut new holes with utility knife exactly like the original holes. Don't bother with the hook nearest the hump as it does not interfere with fit or finish.
  23. I have Weathertech in my DJ and am happy with them.
