The nav option is available now. I just ordered mine with it. If they haven't built yours yet, maybe they can still add it to the order?

So it sounds like (in theory), that will be the only part that's missing?

If the file system is the only issue, why not just format the hard drive in FAT32 format?

Does this problem exist with both USB flash drives and SD cards? If so, it sounds like an iPod is the only way to go for now?

Thanks Lux Man. So is all the hassle that people described only because their cars didn't come with the tow prep package? If my car does come with the 4 pin harness, do you know if it will also come with the little plastic Mopar adapter that's needed to mount the 4 pin plug to the trailer hitch bracket (like in your photo)?

I ordered a 2012 Crew with tow prep package and I'm having the dealer install the Mopar hitch as soon as my car comes in. Am I going to need the wiring harness discussed in this thread that seems difficult to obtain? My dealer said I "might" need an additional wiring harness, but they don't know for sure. He said they'll order it just in case, but it's backordered. After reading this thread, I'm concerned that the harness may be backordered for a long time. Is the harness the same for 7 way and 4 pin installations or are there 2 different harnesses?

I just checked the gas caps of all the Journeys on the lot while I was at the dealer. The FWD models all have yellow gas caps that say E85. The AWD models all have black gas caps and say unleaded fuel only. I'm not saying it makes sense, but that's what I saw.

From what I can tell, it's only the FWD Journey that can run on E85. I'm not sure why the AWD models can't since it's the same engine.

Has anyone tried installing a front camera? It looks like Costaltech sells the camera kits that work with the Lockpick, and can be automatically activated when driving below 8mph. But I'm not exactly sure where you would mount it in the front.

Well, I went ahead and placed the order today. The dealer still couldn't configure the Crew without it automatically adding the chrome wheels, so they just ordered it that way. They'll swap the wheels with another crew when it arrives and deduct the $500 charge for them. I'm still interested in hearing about how the order process works. Do you have to keep calling the dealer to check on the progress and eventually get the VIN?

Makes sense. I wish Weathertech would just offer a version with two holes. Is the hook attached to anything or is it just held in place by the hole in the carpet?

Is it easier to move the hook than to put new holes in the mat?

I'm glad they fixed that. I guess they didn't apply the TSB to the car I test drove. Now they just need a TSB that makes songs resume where they left off. Or even better, make that a configurable option.

I've got all my questions answered, so I'm about to order a 2012 Journey Crew AWD with the Navigation & Sound Group, Flexible Seating Group, Heated Seats, 2nd Row Booster Seats, and Sunroof. My dealer tried configuring it in their order system, but it kept automatically adding the chrome wheels (which I don't want). They're going to give me a call when they figure out how to remove the chrome wheels so that we can place the order. How exactly does the order process work? I've seen people mention that they get their VIN at some point in the process. Does that come from the dealer or direct from Chrysler? Are there any gotchas in the order process that I should be looking for?

I wonder what the logic is behind that. Any car I've ever had always resumes where a song left off. If you make a lot of small trips, you could end up listening to the same song several times. I know you can just manually skip it, but it's weird that it's designed to work that way.

Why are so many ordered cars arriving without VC and Bluetooth? Aren't they supposed to be included in the Navigation & Sound package?

And there's no way to change that? That's gonna drive me crazy. Does yours also change the mode to Phone every time it starts if a phone is paired to it?

I just test drove a 2011 Journey with the 8.4 inch screen (no nav). Every time I turned the car off and started it again, the song that was playing from SD or iPod would start over. Is that normal? Is there any way to make the songs resume from where they left off instead of starting over?

That's what I was hoping. After you swapped the wheels, did the TPMS light come on for a while and then just go out by itself? Or did it never even come on? What year is your Journey?

Hi All. I'm looking at buying a 2011 or 2012 Journey. In the past, I've always had an extra set of wheels with winter tires and TPMS sensors so that I could do the seasonal swap myself. I know that different vehicles have different methods for pairing to the new TPMS sensors when they're swapped out. Does anyone happen to know what the process is for the Journey?

I noticed that the Dodge site lists the 8.4N as an option for the 2012 Charger even though it's not available as an option for the 2012 Journey right now because of a parts shortage. Maybe they're saving the few parts they have for the Charger?

Does that price include tax, title, and reg? Did the dealer say whether or not it was going to come with the 8.4 inch screen? My dealer says he can't tell yet because the factory has closed special orders until sometime in October. How long did they say it would take to arrive?

Yeah, I'm guessing that it relies on the 8.4. I also can't seem to add heated seats without adding the leather seats. I guess I'll have to wait until they open the special orders back up and see which options are actually available to order.

Thanks. I'll see what my dealer is willing to do. They say that special orders are on hold right now, but should open up again in early October. Maybe because of all the parts shortages? If the 8.4 screen still isn't available when they re-open special orders, I won't be buying a Journey.

That's interesting. Does that generally result in the customer paying less for special orders?
